Went here for a quick drink on our way back to the hotel. Nice pub, played a few games of pool 🎱 and darts. Cheap enough for a few drinks. Didn't eat here.

We visited here whilst enjoying a short break in Bollington. Really good feel to the pub and thanks to the good weather we really enjoyed the lovely beer garden.

We visited the Spinners Arms whilst staying locally at Shrigley Hall. We had a couple of drinks (a pint and aperol spritz) and a bite to eat - the pizza was lovely! Staff were friendly and we had a really nice visit!

Came here to complete some work... Landlord was very accommodating and arranged for a key holder to open up out of hours for me .... Thank You for that 👍 The Spinners Arms has a large free carpark over the road, offers Pool table and Darts along with live sports... As it was out of hours I didn't take many pictures... But very clean and tidy This is an honest traditional pub, 😎

Popped in for some lunch on Sunday. Simple menu but perfect for a bite to eat with kids.

Good pub a few minutes walk from the canal but excellent beer

1 week later, to retain the connect 4 championship I was horrified to find out the pizza had sold out (no wonder they’re that good)! Fair play to Alex, she made the best loaded fries to compensate. Connect 4 was hidden away so battleships was the game of choice. No comment on the winner 🤔 Ended the night playing cards with humanity with everyone in the pub. Very enjoyable and it would be good if more came in to take the challenge

Called in for a quick pint Tuesday to be welcomed by an old fashioned games day, 2-1 pizza and a genuinely great crowd (left as connect 4 champion). Pizza was fantastic and highly recommended. Came back tonight to try more of the menu and the loaded fries hit the spot. The staff are amazing and kudos to the chef. Will definitely be back next time I’m in the area.

Only stopped for a pint with my mum, her partner and the dog. Staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. Dog friendly. Very clean.Will definitely return.

To be honest this place felt like it had some ageist staff which in this day and age is super outdated and embarrassing for them. I went in on a Friday night with a group of young friends, not crazy young, we’re all 22+. Unfortunately we weren’t served as the (I assume drunk) landlady came over and said all our ID’s “wouldn’t do” and it was time for us to go. I’ve been driving for nearly 6 years so found this pretty bizarre that she thought my driving license which I’ve had all that time was a fake. Ultimately, to be honest, I’m really glad we decided to leave as she was starting to decide she might serve us but I would really never want to support a business with such unfriendly staff. I cannot recommend anyone else does and I hope they change their mentality after seeing this review as it really isn’t pleasant to feel that unwelcome, especially as we were planning to spend a fair bit of time and money in there celebrating my friends 23rd birthday.

As a 25 year old I didn’t get served as I was “underage”. Appalling landlady.

Class atmosphere Alex was great, jack was the best barman a guy could ask for and the swans were tight

Fantastic pub - Alex, Olivia and Jack were more than welcome to us on a Sunday night. They stayed open beyond closing hours to accommodate our group, much appreciated. Would throughly recommend to anyone visiting Bollington. Ask them for Geese, Goose or Swans - they know the craic

This is some spot, friendly owners, great atmosphere, pool table and darts, hope to come back again. Highly recommend!! Oh yes and the pizzas were exceptional! Special thanks to jack, Alex and Olivia for a fantastic night

We called in the Spinners Arms on Sunday to watch Football, as we stayed overnight in the area. We had a great time chatting and laughing and all the locals made us feel very welcome. The Landlady was lovely and the pub was spotlessly clean. It was a very dog friendly pub with about 7 or 8 well behaved dogs at one point. Definitely recommend this pub and hope to return one day.

Came in on a whim, and stayed far longer than we intended. Wonderful staff, fantastic locals, and an all round good time.

Family afternoon with the grown-up kids, game of pool and a couple or three liquid refreshments to help the Christmas cheer along. Great Christmas Decor and quieter side areas to relax and socialise. Bar staff friendly and waiting times were short as became quite busy and popular with locals.

Cracking gem of a place. The staff and locals make the place very welcoming and make you feel at home. Dog friendly with a large well maintained beer garden out the back, lovely in the summer evenings watching the sunset and White Nancy in the background. Good selection of beers, wines and soft drinks. Also usually at least 2 very well kept cask ales available. Oh and if you get the chance to try one of the Spinners 'unique' Pizza's definitely take it! They're hand rolled dough and no pizza is the same shape, but the delicious taste is there in each one. If you're in the Village or just passing through, I advice you to pop in.

I’ve been in here since lunch time. The new food menu is sensational (Spinas)! Live football (BT sport and sky), best pool table in Cheshire. The service is fantastic especially the ginger one!

very bad experience. Middle aged staff member was verbally and physically abusive towards my younger friend(who was of age and had id) she claimed that she wouldn’t serve us regardless of the id and had some rude and hurtful accusations towards us!!! wouldn’t reccomend as a pub to go to

Close to Tapa Small Plates and The Lime Tree, this is an excellent watering hole. A traditional, locals pub, nothing fancy, but a friendly woman served me at the bar, there was a good choice of beers and the wine wasn't overpriced as it often is in pubs these days.

I was in the Spinners (my local) on the night mentioned in the last review. Of course everyone is entitled to their opinion and can leave whatever review they see fit but I feel this review is unjust and absolutely not how myself and the other customers observed the situation. It’s true, the rest of us at the bar did feel uncomfortable, however this was because of how unnecessarily rude this particular customer was to the bar staff. She did say to her boyfriend “ugh, I should have got two” but that was followed with “they should have offered you two” – to which Alex (bar staff) said “if you didn’t order two then we wouldn’t automatically offer you two” and the customer responded with “I WASN’T F*****G TALKING TO YOU WAS I??!” In no other place of work would you expect to be spoken to like that. She later shouted across the bar “could I have some water please?” whilst both members of staff were in the middle of other duties. Seconds later, when neither of them had immediately responded to her she loudly said “Yeh, you just carry on putting the f*****g glasses away then” which was when she was asked to stop being so rude by the other bar maid. I wouldn’t normally waste my time writing these kind of things but the Spinners has been my local for many years and is a brilliant, welcoming pub with great staff and customers and I feel like the last review was very one-sided and unfair.

I arrived with my partner on a Friday night as we have done countless times. I ordered a desperado. I turned to my partner and said “ugh, I should have got two. I wish they said about the deal”. (As in I wish they prompted me on the deal). This was a private conversation between me and my partner. I was then spoken to by the bar maid, Alex “ well. you didnt you ask for two”. I didn’t even realise she was listening and I found her tone and the whole thing very rude. A while later, I was waiting at the bar. The brunette bar maid was pretty busy. Then Alex arrived and she was putting glasses away. I waited to see if she would approach me. She didn’t. So I then said “please may I get a glass of water”. I was ignored. So I said to my partner “okay just stack the glasses away”. I was then approached by the brunette “ if you’re going to continue to be rude I’m going to have to ask you to leave.” We then went back and forth for a while both explaining each sides to the story. She proceeded to put the blame on both me and my partner. We felt very attacked for no reason and everyone in the bar felt uncomfortable. The atmosphere was terrible as soon as we walked in as Alex’s mannerisms and attitude can be very abrupt and rude and it isn’t the first time. I’m saddened to write this as the spinners is such a lovely pub let down by some difficult bar maids.

This is the kind of pub that makes you want to move to the area, if you could afford it, simple as!

Its in a quaint village. Beers not too pricy but a bit limited. Several cosy rooms which are well laid out for social distancing. Only problem. Will have the television on, on mute because juke box is playing. Perhaps it should be one or the other Not both!

Great pub it was my local when I lived in bollington and I now visit occasionally its still a great place, been coming here for over 40yrs

We stayed nearby for NYE and visited this pub a couple of times. It's a really lovely pub with a pool table and darts. They were so welcoming and friendly. Even sorting the fella's out to watch the Leeds Match which made their day. Would highly recommend the Spinners Arms

After having a meal in Bollington, we popped into the Spinners Arms for a drink before our taxi arrived. It is clear it is a local pub: even more evident when we were waiting to be served and a couple walked in who were known to the gentleman behind the bar and they got served before us - it was quite blatant. We won’t be returning, there are other more welcoming places to have a drink in Bollington.

It’s like a vortex this place. You walk in at about 9pm and leave at about 3am. It keeps happening. Getting only 3 stars due to the damage and bad influence it has over me 😀

Lovely old pub.... as a pub should be.

We arrived around 2:30pm in the town and were looking for somewhere to eat. We spoke to Adam who explained they currently just have a burger menu, but he did direct us to another pub should we want a wider menu. We decided to eat here and both selected the Hen House Burger at £6.49 plus chips. The food was delicious and ale and cider good too!
