Very nice place, lovely staff and tasty food. A nice venue for valentine's.

Cold food, service very slow. We had tight seats and were unable to be relocated due to 'shutting area' off. However later guests were allowed to sit in here. Ordered side dishes which we never received but were charged for on bill (was subtracted when pointed out). Cocktail was really nice, and the atmosphere great, cosy. It's a shame as we're local, hoping it was just a bad evening!

Such a wonderful meal New Years Eve. We all thoroughly enjoyed. Cannot fault the three course meal we all had. Such lovely ending to 2024.

Had the most lovely experience here. Impromptu last minute decision to book a table here whilst visiting a show at the grange theatre. Staff was very efficient, accommodating us last minute and did their absolute most to make our evening enjoyable. It also was my daughter birthday, they kindly made her feel special lighting a candle on her chosen desert. Food was amazing and ambience warm and inviting. Definitely go again.

Private party, service and buffet were fab.

Back on top after my last disasterous visit! Popped in on the spur as it looked buisy. Ordered eggs benedict with haloumi which was perfectly cooked and very tasty. The coffee was so good that I had to have three cups! Service was really good considering how buisy it was and how few staff appeared to be at the front of house.

An excellent first visit to the Hart of Hartford. We had the Christmas sharer board and the mincepie bakewell, which were both very tasty. The atmosphere was cosy, and Erin our server was very friendly and attentive. We enjoyed listening to Erika Ignata, who was there for their live music night, playing guitar and singing some great songs. Was nice to be able to pick songs from her request list as well. Looking forward to returning soon!

Second time here for brunch and just as good as the last time.. Great food and a warm, friendly service.

Christmas brunch food very limited on the sharing board Very small portion when divided out. .I don't drink so opted for soft drink option .Had two soft drink a pot of tea .Guess the money goes to the alcohol drinks not the food but was £36 for me .appreciate also had to pay the Dj as,well as staff

The roast dinner at The Hart of Hartford is an absolute delight - especially the special shredded lamb roast, which was perfectly cooked, tender, and bursting with flavor. The accompanying sides were equally impressive, with fluffy Yorkshire puddings, lashings of rich gravy, and fresh, perfectly seasoned vegetables. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, making it a fantastic spot for a hearty Sunday meal. Highly recommend!

Absolutely delicious meal today, would 100% recommend this lovely little place. The service was great, really hard working girls waitressing & very polite. The food was so delicious & presented so well, will 100% be back, worth the money. We had Avo on toast with bacon, Eggs Benedict, Blackberry Eton Mess cake & Sticky Toffee Biscoff cake.

Way too overpriced for what you get, compared to Costa or Starbucks. £4.20 for a Latte with syrup, not only that, the latte was small. At least with the other coffee shops it's the same price for a medium.

Once again, had another fabulous meal. Arrived for drinks with friends and decided to stay for food. Love this place, front of house are always welcoming, and the food is always exceptional. Thank you once again for a wonderful evening.

First class Sunday lunch. Seriously good food. The lamb had been slow cooking for hours. The whole plate was faultless. Will definately be returning.

This place is an abdolute gem of a place.Me and my mum went in for the steak night and what can i say.The lovely atmosphere and vibe is very inviting and relaxing.The food was stunning and the staff are so lovely and friendly and cant do enough,nothing is too much trouble.The food was cooked freshly and to perfection.We also had strawberry and white chocolate cheesecake,it was to die for.Would highly recommended going for food for any occassion.

We went there for the first time last night, it was the worst place I've ever visited, the staff were rude and not at all helpful, I won't be going there again, Very poor, No wonder its closed Monday and Tuesday.

Visited for the first time on a Wednesday, which is burger night, so obviously had to have a couple burgers! Very tasty on the whole, although the ratios of sauce to burger could definitely be worked on - one had a bit too much and the other needed lots more! Definitely recommend the PBJ time burger if you fancy something a bit different (and don't have a nut allergy). Shared some churros for dessert and these were very good. The atmosphere was also lovely, nice touch having board games and cards available. The real highlight was the friendly staff though, really made us feel welcome and made the night special.

9 of us had a great evening. Steaks, fish, chicken all perfect. As were the sides. Desserts good too but cheesecake fell a little flat. Service was impeccable.

We booked the Hart for our post wedding celebrations with family. The Greek food and the service couldn’t have been any better. Thank you so much!

Great coffee. Really good brunch and breakfast menu. Not tried the evening menu yet. 15/01/23 - New chef now residing at Hart. Sunday roast now on the menu which we had today. Was spot on with cracking Yorkshire's, nice tender pink beef and all the trimmings ! Recommended.

Sorry but you only get once chance to impress in your industry and you didn't. We walked in for a coffee and cake for my mums birthday, first one after the passing of Dad so quite important. We sat at the table for 10 minutes not being served so when the counter and asked if you come to us. I don't know was the answer, strange but ok and the girl asked someone else. I placed our order, coffee with syrups and cake. 10 minutes past and the girls on the counter just appeared to be chatting. Eventually got the order, no setup in one of the coffees. Just a generally bad experience to be honest and as I said, it's all about first impressions. I personally would avoid, there's plenty of other places to get 3 coffees and 3 cakes, cheaper than the £27 I paid here. There's many good reviews on here, maybe we were unlucky

Exceptional cafe/ bar, which does amazing food and drinks. The environment is super friendly (staff & customers) and relaxing, which is that of a Parisian style ambiance, with an outdoors and indoors. Great for evening drinks/ food and morning coffee & breakfast. The Avo on Toast and Veg breakfast was sublime. Liv was our waitress who was very attentive. We are super lucky to have this on our doorstep & really showcases the village vibe. It is puppy friendly too! Keep up the tremendous work

Hey, just a suggestion, migas with chorizo is a Spanish dish, if you serving Mexican migas you guys should change the name, I get very disappointed and feel that Spanish culture is not respect.

Went to the Hart of Hartford for a meal on a Saturday night. It has a lovely atmosphere with unobtrusive live music and very friendly and attentive staff. The food was delicious with a varied menu and great cocktails.

Just had a perfect evening with friends in this lovely, relaxed restaurant. Great drinks and absolutely perfect, delicious food. We shared chorizo in maple syrup which was the best I’ve ever had, as well as beetroot hummus and crispy cauliflower with a sweet chili jam and lots of bread to start. All perfect and delicious. Then lemon sole and fish and chips for our mains- also full of flavour and texture. The waiting staff, Maisie(?) and a lovely guy full of smiles and energy (didn’t catch his name but he was lovely) gave us just the right amount of attention throughout the evening. A total gem of a place.

Wow, the steak and eggs are amazing, I didn't eat anything else that day. Service was very good, ot does get very busy, staff are polite and friendly. We would definitely come back.

The best breakfast spot in Northwich, coffee and food could not be faulted but I’d suggest booking because I can imagine it gets busy!

First review I’ve ever done. I rarely use the word ‘flawless’ but this place truly exceeds all expectations. I mean just look at these photos. Everything tastes just how it looks. A genuine hidden gem. Will be coming here again.

Our first time here and we loved it. James and the young lady who served us were absolutely lovely. Good friendly atmosphere. To start with we shared a focaccia from the specials menu which we both really enjoyed. Sea bass linguine was really good, my husband asked for his crispy chilli beef to be mild and it was spot-on. Add a nice bottle of wine to go with it and we had a great time. We would love to come back. Thanks.

I visited The Hart yesterday for lunch, there was plenty of empty tables. I ordered mushrooms and poached egg on sourdough bread. I waited 35 minutes, then got up, put my coat on and prepared to leave, I thought the wait was too long. The meal then arrived, the “poached egg” was boiled hard. When I went to the counter to pay, I was offered no discount at all for the whole experience, least of all the standard of cooking a poached egg. I regard local businesses as essential to village life, but that is not an excuse for delivering sub-standard service and food. I informed them that I wouldn’t be returning.

The pregnant waitress was extremely rude and unhelpful, the rest of the younger waiters were nice enough but spent most of the night taking the food to the wrong table. Expensive so not worth it for the service you get. Probably wouldn't go again

Without a doubt the best place for brunch in northwich! I eat out a lot and this was the best food I’d had in months. The staff were so accommodating with my allergies too, they were more than happy to go above and beyond. I will be back very soon 😍

Went for a meal with friends, lovely atmosphere, gorgeous food (we all had different meals from the menu) and fab service. All the team were really welcoming, nothing too much trouble, but big shout out to Alex who looked after our table.

Took my mum for some Mother’s Day lunch at our usual gem in the village. I’ve got to say I’m always so impressed with this place, the food is always delicious, the staff are extremely tentative and the ambiance is great. It’s always very busy (but this is a great sign no????). Despite this busyness, the staff always have time for us (particularly the host James and the lovely blonde waitress who served us). Couldn’t recommend enough, will be back in next week to be blown away.

Had a wonderful Mother's Day meal at Hart of Hartford! The service was top-notch, the food was delicious, and the staff were lovely. The young man who appeared to be the manager was lovely, very accommodating and friendly! A perfect place to celebrate a special occasion like Mother's Day.

Issues throughout our recent visit. Main issue was with one member of staff. We booked for 7 plus 2 babies and arrived to find we’d been given a table with no room for high chairs. The member of staff denied we’d requested this (which was a lie), then insisted my wife was ‘intimidating’ when she showed him the proof of our full booking. Luckily, another table agreed to swap with us, otherwise we’d have had to leave. Food was okay but not great, and other members of staff were very nice and accommodating. Finally, the bill was a mess and the problem member of staff had overcharged us because he couldn’t adequately add up the set menu prices. I imagine he’d overcharged a lot of people today. Overall, won’t be going back.

Last minute booking early doors on a Friday night. Got a table for 2 and nothing wzs too much trouble. Amber took our order and made recommendations. Food was amazing as always. My husband had a couple of Bailey's Martini's expertly mixed by James. This place consistently delivers whatever the occassion. See you soon 😊

I visited the hart or Hartford this morning whilst staying in the area with some friends and it was a fabulous experience. The atmosphere and decor are immaculate, the food was incredibly tasty and the staff were extremely pleasant and attentive. I will definitely return when back in the area!

What a great little find. Lovely cafe / restaurant. Had a Sunday brunch (Steak and eggs). The steak was a good as any restaurant I have been to. Very busy so atmosphere was great.

What an amazing place to hire out for a private party to celebrate my 60th Birthday with 57 guests. All of the staff were so friendly and well organised and really looked after us throughout the night. The food was outstanding and all the guests were impressed with what was on offer. It was all freshly cooked and more was brought out to top up the quickly emptied plates. I had forgotten 2 of my guests were vegetarian and Sophie quickly organised 2 platters for them which went down very well. A big thank you to Scott,Charley,Lee,Sophie,Maicey,Lottie,Alex and James for making it a night to remember.

I booked here having never been before for my friends 30th for 20 people. The staff were super accommodating up to the event and then throughout our time there. We were looked after by Sophie, Amber and Liv 👏🏼 they were so lovely thank you! The food was gorgeous, arrived really prompt and we’ll definitely be back to try something else! Thanks again guys 🤩

This was my first visit to Hartford. Having eaten in, arguably, some of the best restaurants around the UK, I have to say that this was the best Eggs Benedict that I have ever had. Great Tall Black coffee and atmosphere. I'm literally thinking of excuses to travel back!

Not impressed! Ordered eggs on sourdough. It cam to the table very burnt so I politely asked for two more pieces of toast. After about ten/fifteens mins it came out again but this time on cheap sliced bread. I asked if I could have the sourdough ordered and I was told 'sorry it's three days old so we can't use it'. This was despite being served it burnt ten mins earlier! My friend asked if it would be priced accordingly which we were told no it wouldn't. £8 for two cheap sliced pieces of bread with 2 overcooked and cold poached eggs! Think this is the first review I have ever written but seemed worth writing it as the experience was pretty poor.

Lovely vegan breakfast and lovely friendly staff. Needs more plant based options and lost a star for being turned away twice without the option of waiting. Book ahead.

What a shame!! Waited more than an hour for food to arrive, ‘because there was a group of 20’ in. We usually don’t mind waiting, but would like to have been told at the beginning, as we could have gone elsewhere. When the food did turn up, the Vegan granola was ok, the spicy corn fritters could have been good had they been warm.

We had the very delicious Christmas sharing board on one of the Santa evenings. The children loved meeting Father Christmas - brilliant value- meal and thoughtful gift box to take home. Would definitely recommend this next Christmas.

Visited with my partner, had to wait 25 minutes to order food but the staff were polite and food arrived a while after and was lovely. Portions could be bigger for the price but it was adequate. The host was extremely friendly today and was efficient. Staff didn’t offer anymore drinks however and a lengthy wait for food.

This restaurant was a nice little hidden gem for those who like the upper part of life, lovely food, and lovely staff.

The staff were adequate. The food was terrible. The dish is supposed to include lots of onions, lardons and mushrooms. These three ingredients were obviously in severe shortage on this day.

Excellent all round. My sis and I come from London to visit my Aunt twice yearly and we used to come to The Hart on each visit, but started going elsewhere as the food wasn't great. We thought we'd give it another try and what a lovely surprise it turned out to be! The food was so good, service was great (not sure what our server was called but he had an excellent mullet hairdo!). The only thing I would like to see is a few more vegan options, but other than that, PERFECT!

Great gluten free menu and take allergens seriously. Service was great. A bit pricey but nice for a treat.

The venue was very accommodating for a baby shower, it was a lovely space and we had use of the whole restaurant. The staff where very accommodating and the food was delicious. Really recommend.

We have been to Hart of Hartford many times for breakfast but never for dinner in the evening. Today we tried it for the first time and it was an amazing meal. We went for their Wednesday Burger Night which was a great deal, tasty food, quick and friendly service, lovely atmosphere and good portions. Everyone really enjoyed their food and the evening dinner there. Highly recommend visiting Hart of Hartford- great independent restaurant.

Food was good, we ate from the lunch menu. Unfortunately the service was poor and it was nowhere near full, nobody came to take our order but staff were serving several tables who arrived after us. We had to ask for cutlery when our food arrived. It was just disappointing overall.

First time we’ve visited this venue and it didn’t disappoint, we celebrated my mums 79th birthday and had a fabulous evening, great vibe, excellent service and fantastic food. Sophie looked after us and was amazing so many many thanks great service from start to finish. We will definitely visit again.
