The best restaurants serving British food in North East

I had a really good experience here today, all the staff were so friendly and welcoming, the food was out of this world all fresh and home made to a very high standard, I can’t wait for my next visit here! 10/10

We visited Corbridge Sandwich during a recent visit to the village. There was so many choices of fillings for sandwiches and paninis as well as lunch options and tray bakes. We went for breakfast rolls and we were not disappointed. Tasty, filling and reasonably priced too. We made a second visit a couple of days later it was so good. Give it a try if you’re visiting.

Used to be excellent, not so now as overpriced it self. breakfast not good now Coffee not as good now. Used to be good for all ages but not now.

Booked for my son's birthday for Sunday lunch. Absolutely beautiful food! Pink beef and belly pork 10/10 and I had rubarb crumble and custard and it was delicious! Great portions and the staff are lovely. Definitely recommend we will be back.

I used to love The Bridge and will keep trying because it's generally a great pub with park outside and i hear great discos going on but not been to those. What generally seems to havr fallen since it been taking over by new owner is the food which used to taste and feel quite unique to the place and considerinh it being an independent pub, i used to feel it give the impression of a Green King pub or Sizzler but you could tell by the food it wasnt which was the selling point. However, food is very standard now and has lost it touch. I also dont get good vibes from being in it anymore. Usually full of rowdy drunk individuals that look like there could be trouble with a snap of your fingers and i've seen the owner scrapping with punters as I've drove past. Bar staff are lovely though.

Well worth a visit, do really nice food, band nights on Saturdays, games nights on Sundays, Quiz and bingo Thursday and cheap nights Mondays. All the staff are very accommodating and friendly. As you can tell we go often, oooh and the beer and drinks are really reasonable!

Absolutely spot on, couldn’t fault it. It’s busy so they’re clearly doing something right. Lush honest fresh food

Great local cafe. We were dying for a coffee and Corner Cafe turned out to be just the ticket. Very busy with what were obviously locals, which is always a good sign. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Superb pub, great food lovely friendly staff. Brilliant low cost priced food very tasty. Easily recommended for a great evening

I knew there was something wrong with my fish as soon as I opened the box. The shape and thickness of it to start with. Bearing in mind I ordered the LARGE fish lt was smaller than the regular sized where I come from further down the coast. As soon as I cut into the chewy batter and had a taste, I said to my wife 'this ain't cod and it doesn't taste like haddock'. Then I cottoned on later. I think it was tilapia, a substitute for cod that is supposed to be more sustainable and it's cheaper to obtain. That is why I will never be using this 'fish' shop ever again.

Was at Gateshead College for a meeting & popped into Greenhouse for lunch. Got a fabulous spiced lentil takeaway soup, complete with warm crusty roll, butter, knife and spoon all for £2.50. The soup portion size was excellent value. It was piping hot and super tasty & the warm roll was a fabulous touch, well done. More than I expected for a takeaway soup option. Highly recommend it. 🙂

Fantastic steak pie. Awesome. Amazing. Tasty as. Lovely gravy. Home cooked chips, perfect. Peas. Fab. Lovely ladies, friendly, normal. Meals great value. Used heavily by 'in the know' locals. The snotty types will turn their nose up...not posh enough. Who cares! A great find. A little gem. Bring cash - easier. No cards.

Espantosos, sucios baños para discapacitados y comida cara. Preparado para un baby shower era ruidoso e interrumpió el desayuno, nos dijeron acerca de esto al tomar asiento. Cuando plantearon el problema con el personal fueron groseros y no podía importarles menos.

New owners taken over the new mill lovely and chatty made to feel so welcomed and the beer was spot on .
