I have visited Darcies a number of times now with my Nanna who might I add swears by this place. They always treat her and her friend like royalty and always go the extra mile to make sure they are both happy! All of the food there is home cooked to perfection and tastes amazing. I’ve had the Yorkshire pudding wrap multiple times and it never disappoints potions are huge and good value for money. Lisa and the rest of the staff are lovely! There’s no doubt that she knows exactly what she is doing. I will happily be returning to Darcies and can’t wait to try the chicken nuggets my nanna raves about!

Well been for my dinner the day bloody lush will recommend this little gem of a cafe to everybody . Food great staff brill .all home cooked . I can say no smell and what a cook x defo be back and u can get it meals delivered if u unable to get out x as for the one and only bad review think I'm sure they getting there cafes mixed up with jj x or someone who runs a different cafe in North shields x well dun darcie's x

Went with a few friends after hearing great things about this place. We weren't disappointed! As well as regular menu there were a selection of daily specials. I had pork steak, my friends had full breakfast. Food was amazing! Portions were big and everything fresh. Really friendly service from the lady owner and prices are excellent. We'll be regulars now! And they deliver!

Recently moved to the area thought I would try a breakfast - tbh with the smell I met walking in, I should have walked straight back out. (Greasy smell) Lady I ordered from was polite but didn't seem to know what she was doing! After around a 25 min wait got my breakfast swimming in grease, sausages over-cooked, a couple of scabby bits of bacon egg was like rubber! The only thing that was half decent was the beans...to top it off ended up spending the afternoon on toilet.... this cafe is a place to avoid!

This is a great little place ,smashing couple ,the food is very tasty, mince and dumplings ,dinners ,breakfasts all geat food at good prices give it a go folks its worth every penny

1 John StreetWe sat outside as inside was too busy for 4 people and a dog at 11am Sunday. Drinks came fairly soon but we waited a fair while for the food. When it came, there had been a mix up on the order and an item was missing from 2 meals. The mistake was quickly corrected at the Boat Yard's cost, by way of apology. However, we did witness someone else's order getting mixed up as well - make a note of what you ordered. Staff were lovely and friendly and the food was very tasty. The coffee was nice, too.

22-26 Union QuayWent here with my family for a take away not my first time and has always been very good and will be back again , definitely recommend this place 🐟🍟. Forget to take pictures of food as we were all starving. Been back again 2/1/24 got a table this time same again lovely and will return again 👌🏻👍🏻 Been back again today 14/4/24 all plates cleared again 👌🏻👍🏻 Back again today 23/3/25 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ again .
