The best restaurants serving British food in Stockton-on-Tees North East

Always travel to Seaton for this chippy as it’s the best I’ve ever been to, after reading some of the lower rating reviews I’m quite shocked as after over 100 visits I’ve never known it to be closed or portion sizes small. I actually always say how much you get for a half lot is amazing and sometimes can’t even finish that! Staff always happy, ok sometimes there’s a wait but that’s because it’s very busy at all times due to getting it right! See you again soon

Got Fish Pattie and chips large curry sauce and a scraps Outstanding all cooked perfect perfectly and delicious That’s why I travel 3 miles plus to go to The Silver Cod

Nice airy place, ideal for bands and being able to see from most angles, good staff. If i lived closer I would be in here every week.. Don't talk (or even whisper) during the bingo if you value your life.

called in for lunch while staying at the hotel food was very good and nice surrounding they were due to close but kept the restaurant open so we could have lunch thank you

This is the friendliest Costa I’ve ever been to. As I don’t live in Yarm, it’s not my local Costa, but every time I’ve been here, the staff are so warm, welcoming, courteous and will do everything to make their customers feel looked after. The store is the cleanest I’ve been to as well. Lovely.

Atmosphere was good but drinks are dearest in yarm.

Our first visit to this little gem. An ex pub reopened as a restaurant with an excellent chef. The meal was beautifully cooked and presented and it was melt in your mouth gorgeous The staff were very friendly and welcoming Service was swift but not pushy. Needless to say that quality comes at a price but it was well worth the visit. We will go again soon

Well this was one of my last heavy calorific meals before starting a healthier life choice after Christmas What a way to go out full blown Parmo but not all bad due to eating all the fantastic side salad which I usually dodge but so good ate that also Parmo was good served with chunky chips and as I say a very fresh tasty salad Great service and very polite staff view not bad also highly recommend

What a shame . This was my first trip out after lockdown . I took my daughter for lunch . The Houmous starter was average . The tagliatelle was okay but very basic and the garlic bread like a brick . We had to keep waving for service. All the staff were miserable. Asked if everything was okay as we paid . I fedback on the bread , no apology just ‘I’ll let the chef know’ . £66 not cheap for poor basic food . The whole hotel needs investment. It’s tatty and tired . Cracked dirty walls , stained chairs , chipped sinks and fittings in the spa. Such a shame as it has such potential.

Another outstanding meal 8 of us had food and everything was gorgeous not one bad thing from everyone's meal thank you once agen 👌

Visitamos la ciudad en febrero con mi padre. Yo tenía queso de cabra y risotto pelotas con salsa que donde muy sabroso. Luego tuve salmón con un panqueque de cangrejo con verduras y patatas fritas adecuadas. Mi padre tenía sopa seguido de cerdo de la danza del vientre. 2 platos por £13 era una absoluta ganga.Bonito lugar, me sentí un poco de pena por las chicas que trabajan allí tenían mucho que hacer. Otra persona para ayudar habría hecho una gran diferencia. He comido en algunos de los mejores pasos en el noreste y este lugar es tan bueno si no es mejor que el de otros lugares en Newcastle con premios. Sin duda volveremos.
