Roundel in Stockton-on-Tees

We went to the Roundel for dinner, we was welcomed by the staff and cracking service, ordered at the bar and was offered Garlic bread where I refused but thanks. The food was lovely hot and plenty. Well done to the kitchen staff, bar and waiter(S) Will come again in the future.

Awesome as ever, I’m so fussy but they make the meals how I want them. Can’t fault there service. We always have a good time and great value for money

Went for lunch after not visiting since before the onset of Covid. I was very pleasantly surprised. Excellent food served very quickly by a lovely member of staff. The prices were fabulous too. I will certainly visit again soon.

great spot to watch the football, play various amounts of sports on the tv to accommodate everyone. Bar stuff are lovely helpful. Great selection of drinks. Also amazing food very tasty, came out very quick and great variety. Will be returning.

We came for lunch and to try the new menu. We both chose the All Day Breakfast and it was perfectly cooked. Fantastic value for money at only 2 for £11.99. There’s several other meals to choose from on the offer too. We will most definitely go back again.

Food was very nice and great value for the money, Only downside toilets were in a dyer state of repair. I know this is nothing to do with the food, but this was a shock considering we had lovely food.

Came with family for an evening meal, there was 6 of us in total. The service was absolutely amazing and staff were helpful and friendly. The food was amazing and cooked to perfection. The chef cooked all tbe steaks peefectly! Would definitely recommend.

We always come to Thornaby roundel as they do a gluten free menu, it’s always cooked well and the staff in the pub are so friendly especially Becky on the bar

Great value for money, alot of screens for sport, good selection of drinks and friendly welcoming staff, i got the fully loaded chicken strips with curry and it was great! Will be back one saturday to watch the football and have another meal

Always a good atmosphere in the Del. The kids ask most days to go to the ‘mucky pub’ Food is good and great bar staff - especially Luke and Lil.

Food is nice .. only thing I would say is bring cutlery and sauces before food , luke and lil behind bar were fab will be back

This spot is local in the community. Nice area for kids to play under the apple tree. Foods nice (although I miss the fajitas) the staff are wonderful and really child inclusive.

We were greeted warmly by the person behind the bar, who took our meal order, poured us some drinks then served them at the table. It was lunchtime, very busy and the staff as usual had a heavy workload, even so, the staff held a pleasant and helpful attitude. The meal itself was sirloin steak with all the trimmings, was well presented and sizzling hot. Everything on our special griddle plates had been cooked with care to a high standard and tasted delicious. A senior member of staff was at hand as usual and asked us if we had enjoyed our meal. We thanked her on behalf of all the staff for the excellent meal that we had enjoyed, and for helping to make it such a positive and happy experience.

We can recommend the Roundel as a very friendly and efficient service for both food and drink. The young waiter 'Marshall' was so helpful and polite. He's a breath of fresh air

Attended for a 92nd birthday. Staff as usual were friendly and accommodating. Food was well prepared and served very quickly. Nothing was too much effort for the staff. They even prepared 2 puddings that weren't on the menu.

Horrible. Staff are rude and roll eyes . Kids running around screaming like it’s a soft play . Floors, chairs and tables are disgusting look like they haven’t been cleaned in years food all over them and smudged into them . Some of the food came out burnt and some of it came really cold . Food took about an hour to get here and when it got here they didn’t even bring out the right food then proceeded to say it’s our fault and we need to pay for the right food . We had to ask the same member of staff 3 time just for a pot of sauce and if it wasn’t busy I wouldn’t complain but it was really not . All the smoke from kitchen is in the dining area, that’s definitely a health hazard for people with asthma. And when we got here we had to wait 5 minutes for some menus and there excuse was “we were trying to find some cleanish ones” . So I definitely don’t recommend!!!! Shocking!!!

A group of 8 us booked a table in the roundel for a few drinks and snacks. We ordered 3 sharing platters which had a very good variety of very tasty snacks and sauces which we all enjoyed. Overall we had a very friendly service, great food and would highly recommend. Will definitely be returning.

Absolutely smashed its!! Green Kings is a chain, so never expect much...but the Roundel smashed it...its all in the cooking and presentation....the millionair burger I had was class!!! And the service was amazing too 9.5 out of 10 from me

We have recently teamed up with the Roundel. We are Boro over 40’s football team and we go back to the Roundel after every home game. They provide us & the away team with food after the game which is top drawer. The service is super friendly & all the staff have great personalities. They have all the best drinks available Madri, Guiness, San Miguel, Birra Morretti to name a few. The atmosphere is great & everyone is friendly. They also have all live football & other sport with a number of large screens scattered around the establishment. We are very happy we have teamed up with them & can’t thank them enough for their hospitality.

Ordered the chicken mix with chicken fillets and boneless wings, when cutting into the chicken fillets, the bottom of the fillet was soggy. The texture of the boneless wings were very slimey and pink, I told a lovely lady who worked there and she explained that the chicken was already cooked just needed recooking. She was kind enough to offer me to get a new plate but, this completely put me off my food. The lady then offered me and my partner a free dessert, I ordered the biscof cheesecake however, this was half frozen and half melted (obviously been thrown in the microwave) when served. I won’t be coming back, only good part about my experience was the young lady who couldn’t do enough for us.

The food is nice, staff are friendly but the toilets are disgusting. Most of them don't flush and are backed up with waste. The tables and seats are sticky and dirty. The whole place needs cleaning, updating and decorating.
