Norton Cafe in Stockton-on-Tees

Used to be excellent, not so now as overpriced it self. breakfast not good now Coffee not as good now. Used to be good for all ages but not now.

Called for a drink and a snack to start the day. Coffee and tea were good but the sandwiches were nothing special. Bit thin on the ground with bacon and odd-tasting sausage.

Started the birthday celebrations with breakfast here and what a great start. The food is always delicious here no matter what you eat. The staff are very friendly and accomodating. It's always great to support a local family run business too. Fabulous hidden gem. Highly recommended.

Deep fried breakfast it should be called !!! Everything greasy and deep fried ! Won’t be going back was horrendous and terrible value for £10 with no drink ! Very poor

Great local cafe and value for money. Traditional cafe menu. We had the all day breakfast and pancakes which were great Cafe was clean. Staff were very friendly and welcoming.

Amazing breakfast and outstanding service.... SPOTLESSLY CLEAN and so welcomeing and friendly. The breakfast was piping hot and cooked fresh to order, a real mix of customers and they were quite busy but service was still on point ... The only downside is that I don't live near enough to pop in all the time, so will have to wait till I'm home next..

Just been to Norton Cafe for our first time and I highly reccomend this place to everybody! I took my mum out for some lunch and the food was fresh, not overly priced and tasted amazing. We were sat outside on the terrace baking in the sun, it is a lovely little heat trap and it felt like we were abroad. The staff are so lovely, they truly go above and beyond, especially the young male barista who came over and spend some time chatting with us. We will definitely be coming back to this place. I'm so glad we came across it.

My husband is notoriously hard to please when we go out for coffee. We all dread him ordering coffee! Today he had coffee at the Norton Cafe and said it was the best coffee he's had in a long time. The Barista, a lovely young man, really knew his stuff and took it as a personal challenge when I told him how fussy he was... And made really great coffee. Five stars!

Recommend by a friends wife, met up with a good friend and my daughter The menu was varied with a good selection at a fair price, daughter had cheese burger, Friend had cheese & onion omelette and I had the Big Breakfast All food was good and served in good time with a friendly member of staff, good selection also of sauces Drinks good milkshake and even better coffees, comfortable tables and good temperature within cafe Good local place with comfortable furniture

Lovely homemade lasagne salad chops and homemade meat pie peas chips Fab service, very friendly cafa , Very much highly recommended.

Visited this little cafe after my partner said the lads from work go here all the time, so we went one morning for two breakfasts. Good value for money and just what we needed. They have now also put picnic benches outside to enjoy your food in the warmer weather... Would return again!

Just popped in for coffee as not been before as always looked like a greasy cafe oh how wrong was I , it's loverly furniture and lighting gives it a loverly feel it's clean and the service is very good loverly smiley gentleman serving , we ended up having a toasty and salad and chips wow it's was loverly and the amount you get is unbelievable .I really enjoyed it and it's one if the best coffees I've had In a very long time, price very good will definitely return and recommend .

The food is really fresh, I’m awkward with what I order and the staff here are amazing with me, the restaurant is always really clean to, great for families and elderly.

Great food every time we visit. The all day breakfast is amazing and they have such fantastic choices on the menu. The staff are warm and welcoming and help you with anything you ask for. Definitely recommend this place for people who are visiting norton or even live there and fancy going out for lunch.

Great place for traditional breakfast lunch afternoon tea. Can’t beat it - prices are very very good for what you get.

This is our Saturday brunch ritual. My little girl goes dancing on a morning, then we head over to here for some food. The staff are so polite and helpful - the portion sizes are huge and great. Only thing I would say, is I don't like having to pay for an adult breakfast portion, for my 2 year old - should have a kids brekkie menu however saying that, the prices are cheap but she just wastes so much.

The food is always great here. But if Sunday Lunch is 12-3pm you shouldn’t run out by 2pm. Nothing in a roast dinner isn’t something you couldn’t serve in other meals if it’s left over. Gutted.

This may only be a small venue, but what it lacks in size it makes up for with great food and great staff. Always welcomed with a smile and food is reasonably priced. Will always get my custom. Have a look for yourselves, great traditional breakfast.

Come here at least once a month. Fantastic staff. All homemade food and the portions are big. Never leave hungry. Reasonable prices for a good breakfast. Can’t recommend it enough.

Este es un gran lugar para llevar a mam. El personal es muy amable y el café muy limpio. Comida servida rápidamente y siempre está caliente y sabrosa. Le gusta la Tortilla de champiñones y Mam patatas fritas y mi favorito es una hamburguesa de bacon y huevos. Nunca nos sentimos presionados y siempre se sentirá bienvenido.

Lovely friendly place with friendly staff always willing to chat. Food is always decent - love the toasties and the all day breakfasts are always nice and filling. Would love to see them do 'proper' chips though. Lattes are always spot on.

Went lunchtime for meal - cafe very clean pleasant staff. Apology for 20 minute wait Very busy. Meal only just acceptable sausages rock hard and cardboard bacon. Eggs and hash browns very good. Not in a rush to return.

Mi madre y yo tuvimos un paseo por el pueblo y después de un poco de compras en el co-op decidimos tener un almuerzo. El café en sí estaba muy limpio y ordenado, con alrededor de 15 otros clientes sentados. Pedimos un desayuno durante todo el día y una tortilla con tés. El desayuno era bueno con 2 huevos pero no era nada especial. La tortilla era servido con patatas fritas y ensalada y de nuevo fue agradable. Sin embargo, el té se servía en ollas las ollas eran minúsculos apenas llenar la taza (nos gusta charlar tomando un té, pero no fue suficiente para nosotros). El personal era muy amable y sonriente, y en general un buen lugar para visitar.

El "gigante" son decepcionantemente normal tanto a tamaño, y prácticamente todo servido con patatas cortadas comprobar. Bien, si eso es lo que te gusta, pero probablemente podría encontrar mejor.

Hemos estado viniendo aquí durante años y la comida es fantástica, todo fresco a la orden y no escatiman en las raciones, el propietario y el personal muy amable y dispuesto a ayudar, está impecablemente limpio, los precios son razonables y el almuerzo del domingo es una excelente relación calidad-precio y 2 campos. Ha sido renovado a un estándar muy alto.

He frecuentado este pequeño café en Norton en numerosas ocasiones, y he probado el espectro completo de desayuno, almuerzo y cena. Cada vez la comida ha sido fresco, sabroso, cálido y amplio. Los precios son muy razonable en todo momento, desde el propietario hasta el personal de todo el mundo es amable y siempre educado. En los últimos años ha tenido una renovación muy agradable y de buen gusto, la estética y el ambiente siempre es bueno. Cafés High Street a veces tienen que desgastadas apariencia y sensación, este tiene un aspecto y ambiente limpio vibran, también la ventaja de wi-fi gratuito y periódicos por las mañanas a leer. Lo que no gusta!?

venido aquí hace unos años la comida siempre es agradable y el personal siempre dispuesto y atento. Un gran lugar para reunirse con la familia y amigos.

This Cafe/Restaurant could be missed by anyone visiting the lovely village of Norton, near Stockton-on-Tees. It is situated off the main High Street but is easily accessible and has wheelchair access too. I'm a local so have eaten here lots and never been disappointed. The food is always delicious. Whether it's just coffee and cake, a full English breakfast (which is the best in the Village) a snack, or Sunday lunch, (and I've tried them all), its all great food. It's owned and run by a Turkish (I think) family, and they are all friendly and helpful, and they keep the place spotlessly clean. Prices are very reasonable and they don't skimp on portions. There are loads of cafes/restaurants in Norton, most of which are overpriced or aimed at a certain type of customer. The Norton Cafe is, in my opinion, the better place to go
