The best restaurants serving British food in Newcastle upon Tyne North East

Was having a lovely gammon steak and chips but a massive brawl broke out outside with multiple people punching one another, even the use of weapons, really ruined the vibe watching a man get attacked with a bike seat, gammon steak was cooked perfectly tho.

I went in to get a bag of chips to go with the fish I’d bought. I have been buying chips since they were a tanner a bag! Never have I come across a worse portion of chips, they were appalling, rubbery and tasting of old fat. This may sound trivial, but I was charged 100 times more for them than that bag of chips back in the 60s.

Stopped twice here on a recent visit to Newcastle, coffee exceptional and granola and Greek yoghurt bowls for breakfast were delicious.

He estado aquí hoy comí un sándwich de tocino y un café con leche flaco se sirvió rápidamente y el delicioso personal es encantador y servicial.

The bar was quite. Ordered food at 7 pm at 8 pm. I asked if it was ready .guy said I asked who's order it was, but no one answered even though you have to give a table number. No one near us saw him . Food arrived at 8.15. not sure if it was re cooked or warmed up as my curry was dry and tastles . I asked for a refund but told only the head office could authorise it . Given free drink to passively us . But it was awful service.

Bacon and Egg on Toast and Americano Quality of food: Goodish - one perfect poached egg one smaller not runny not great, bacon thin and tough, not great, toast lovely Ambiance: Good Price: £12.70 Any Problems: brown and red sauce hidden behind pay counter not on table not the best quality and no other sauce options I would like a hot sauce option at least! Salt and pepper in paper sachets … really ! Not what was expected for Fenwicks and the price point! Result: 2/10 go to Greggs!

Excellent Steak and Guinness pie with very lovely roast potatoes. Our best meal having just spent four nights in Newcastle. Good value, sauce / gravy included, as well as your choice of peas / pease! Great old pub; however, we did feel that the welcome was a little bit flat.

Larguísima cola para que las máquinas la pidan. Se habían quedado sin sándwiches para niños y sin ciertas bebidas, pero solo te enteraste una vez que intentaste ordenar y el artículo se desvaneció ligeramente. Seguramente la persona que gestiona la cola podría habernos avisado ya que fue una larga espera para que los niños pequeños no obtuvieran lo que les gustaría. La papa de la chaqueta era pequeña pero con un lado de col encantador. No se molestará en volver, ni siquiera sin los niños.

We took our school children on a trip to Jesmond Dene soon what turned out to be a very wet and cold day. The staff at Millfield House could not have been more accommodating. They let us use their space for the children's lunches and were so friendly and pleasant. I personally love going to this little gem of a cafe with my dog at the weekend but was just so impressed with their hospitality to such a large group at with little notice. Thank you to the entire team for looking after us!

bottomless brunch .a christmas treat from my daughter. kate our server was amazing .drinks on hand throughout the time .friendly and extremely attentive.amazing service. Thankyou Kate. Credit to the buisness.

Food is terrible. Bread is hard and not fresh at all. Sausages texture disgusting. For a cafe everything should be fresh not feel like it was made 3 days ago
