The Old Rangoon Restaurant in Newcastle upon Tyne

The bar was quite. Ordered food at 7 pm at 8 pm. I asked if it was ready .guy said I asked who's order it was, but no one answered even though you have to give a table number. No one near us saw him . Food arrived at 8.15. not sure if it was re cooked or warmed up as my curry was dry and tastles . I asked for a refund but told only the head office could authorise it . Given free drink to passively us . But it was awful service.

The food was lovely and both Abi’s were lovely, friendly and worked hard to ensure we were comfortable, happy and had all we needed. Would recommend.

Good food and great service off the 2 abbi's !

I wonder if it is too much to ask chips made from fresh potatoes instead of factory processed frozen version nowadays. Yes, yes, profit has to come first...

We stayed at the hotel overnight as we were flying out early My husband deccided to book a evening meal bit I wish he had not!!!!! He ordered the "vegetable soup" but it was purred and did not taste like veg soup and it was cold. We then ordered the gammom steak with fried egg, mushroom, tomato and chips eeeeew that could not be eaten as it was cold. We did report it to the manageress and she could not apologize enough and really felt soggy for the waitress Nicole as she was trying to keep things going but was fighting a loosing battle due to the "chef" ha ha Hotel was not as comfortable as I remember as the beds were soooo hard and you could not get comfortable.
