Was having a lovely gammon steak and chips but a massive brawl broke out outside with multiple people punching one another, even the use of weapons, really ruined the vibe watching a man get attacked with a bike seat, gammon steak was cooked perfectly tho.

The Raby is a proper local pub that offers a great range of beers and spirits and is a pub we went to on a six day city break and was one of the many pubs we visited in the Byker area of Newcastle. We visited here after visiting the High Main a superb Wetherspoons pub and a couple of other local pubs around this area. An excellent local pub with a large interior with a pool table and many other features throughout this pubs interior and fantastic seating options. When we visited early in the afternoon this pub wasn't really that busy with only a few locals in here. When here we had a glass of Fosters brewery lager which were fantastic and well priced. The Raby is well worth visiting as we where made to feel very welcome by one of the barmaid's who may remember a couple of twins from Liverpool. This lady is without an asset to this pub as she was really friendly and as mentioned above made us feel so welcome. The Raby is very easy to find from Shields Road-Edwin Street bus stop it's a minutes walk.(This is my first review of the Raby). Opening Hours. Monday-Sunday-11.00-23.00. Nearest Bus Stop. Shields Road-Edwin Street bus stop.

My twin brother Stephen and I were hitting the pubs along Shields Road in Byker and dropped into The Raby Pub ,a good old fashioned locals boozer. The pub looks lovely, two roomed, spic and span, pubby decor and furnishings, an island style serving bar, tv's to enjoy the sport and plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub, a good pub to chill out in. We were here on a Monday afternoon, we ordered a Fosters lager each ,these were served in excellent condition being iced cold and sparkling and we just kicked back and took in the great pub we were in. My lager was really good, not my usual tipple, more a real ale and craft beer fan myself but on a hot afternoon this light, hoppy and unpretentious lager style beer bursting with taste really hit the spot. We really enjoyed our beers in here, only stayed for the one each before moving on and for a first time visit to The Raby Pub we were really impressed. The Raby Pub is easy to locate along Shields Road. Opening hours are; Monday to Sunday, 11am till 11pm. A great pub, one I highly recommend you visit if you're in the area.

Good quality ingredients, beautifully prepared - only one snag very salty. I am not sure if it was because of too much salt or MSG used in the dishes, however, it wouldn't put me off from ordering fr

We came for dinner, which was lovely. Our waiter, Ben, was very attentive and polite. The food was good so would recommend. Slightly more expensive place in the area but enjoyable mean, nonetheless.
