An amazing family Christmas Day lunch The food was incredible and the staff were excellent The atmosphere and views are wonderful Thank you for a truly lovely day we all enjoyed it

Was at Gateshead College for a meeting & popped into Greenhouse for lunch. Got a fabulous spiced lentil takeaway soup, complete with warm crusty roll, butter, knife and spoon all for £2.50. The soup portion size was excellent value. It was piping hot and super tasty & the warm roll was a fabulous touch, well done. More than I expected for a takeaway soup option. Highly recommend it. 🙂

Been quite a few times now and tried different items for lunch from the menu, the jacket potatoes are gorgeous, service is always great,lovely lunch every time I'm visiting Gateshead. Great place to go !

I have visited the Brasserie many times over the past 20 years and generally had a good meal that I thought was value for money, until yesterday. Having arrived promptly, shown to table quickly, all seemed fine. Then very long wait for drink & food order to be taken, similarly people at near us. Finally ordered food plus a bottle of wine, again a huge wait for drinks. Starters were OK but I could not see why the huge delay for dishes that could be prepared easily. Finally got main course an hour after arriving, one plate was very cool and mine did not have what was stated on menu. At 6.40 I had to ask for our desserts, the worst part . Creme brulee was essentially cold custard and tarte tatin was almost 3 inches of slabs of apple and thick pastry. Very disappointing and not value for money.

Another enjoyable visit to The Baltic today. We also had some lovely food in the cafe - much improved since our last visit. Trout bagel, tuna toasties, blondie and coffees were all lovely and fresh at very reasonable price. Great helpful and friendly staff and service in comfortable airy space. We look fwd to returning soon x

While my daughter shopped I popped in here for an oat milk latte and was served by a woman who to be honest looked like she didn’t want to be there. I paid for my drink and waited patiently, the lady who was making the drink said it was ready. I politely asked if it was the oat milk latte and the woman who had taken my order barked at me that’s not what you ordered. I explained I ordered an oat latte and she snapped at me, that’s not what you asked for with a very stern look. I explained I don’t drink milk and I wouldn’t have asked for anything other than what I ordered. The lady then demanded another 60p from me which I proceeded to pay. I could see the woman who was making the drink was rather embarrassed and said it was ok to me. I won’t be returning here to be spoken too like that and she needs to learn some manner and put a smile on her face. Extremely disappointed .

We had a most enjoyable dining experience at Bewick's Restaurant on Saturday, 3rd October 2020. The food and service was excellent and every effort was made to keep customers safe without spoiling the atmosphere of this lovely location. We would recommend Bewick's Restaurant to our family and friends and will definitely go again next time we are up in Northumberland. Lesley & Ricardo Montisci

Rara vez publico reseñas, pero este restaurante merece una. Es triste decir que otros comentarios que dicen "buen hotel / restaurante pobre" tienen su lugar en. Claramente hay algo disfuncional en el lugar. Parece que hay gente agradable sirviendo pero no saben realmente lo que están haciendo. Informé inmediatamente lo que "no estaba" en el menú - así que pedí algo que "estaba" en el menú... tampoco lo estaba... había olvidado. Preguntado si quería agua - "sí" - nunca llegó. Acabo de tomar una ensalada... solo después, leyendo el menú en el ascensor, me di cuenta de que le faltaban bastantes de los ingredientes anunciados. Pedí una copa de vino - se sentó en el mostrador del bar a cierta distancia durante mucho tiempo - casi fui a buscarla ... entonces pensé "por qué molestarse". ... comió mi comida ... listo para salir ... alguien finalmente vio la copa y la trajo. Dije "eso tardó mucho tiempo en llegar a mí". . . . ninguna reacción. Entonces, me senté a beber mi copa de vino, habiendo terminado ya la ensalada incompleta. Durante los siguientes 20 - 30 minutos nadie se acercó con tanto como un "¿le gustaría ver el menú de postres? - ¿le gustaría un café? ... etc, etc. " Muy raro - apenas un cliente, y sin embargo nadie parecía preocuparse por los pocos de nosotros que estábamos allí. Soy un leal miembro de Hilton Diamond. . . . . permanecer en Hiltons en todo el mundo. . . . esto fue una experiencia tan extraña. Si la dirección del Newcastle Hilton lee estas críticas, por favor haga algo con su restaurante y su personal - es tan triste experimentar un lugar tan mal dirigido como este. Para aquellos que lean esto que están a punto de quedarse en el hotel y están pensando en cenar en el restaurante, evite a toda costa hasta que sienta un cambio radical en las críticas.

Rather disappointing experience the receptionist was as welcome as the wife when I've been out with the boys all day got to the room no shaver point in the bathroom and no toilet brush how do you avoid the skidmarks when you been on the bevy in Newcastle

Came to the Big Luke's as we have been a couple of times before several years ago, when we went home we raved about it to everyone. After today we won't be raving about it. Such a let down. The variety of food has dropped by about half. But for higher price. Some of the food was nice (BBQ ribs and chocolate fudge cake), other parts very dry and inedible (chicken fajita). Staff were very polite and efficient at their job cleaning tables as soon as guest had left, can't fault them. Just let down by the quality and lack of variety of food compared to previous visits.
