While my daughter shopped I popped in here for an oat milk latte and was served by a woman who to be honest looked like she didn’t want to be there. I paid for my drink and waited patiently, the lady who was making the drink said it was ready. I politely asked if it was the oat milk latte and the woman who had taken my order barked at me that’s not what you ordered. I explained I ordered an oat latte and she snapped at me, that’s not what you asked for with a very stern look. I explained I don’t drink milk and I wouldn’t have asked for anything other than what I ordered. The lady then demanded another 60p from me which I proceeded to pay. I could see the woman who was making the drink was rather embarrassed and said it was ok to me. I won’t be returning here to be spoken too like that and she needs to learn some manner and put a smile on her face. Extremely disappointed .

Extremely over priced for what they serve. Paid £5.60 for 2 bottles of pop. The numerous glasses we were given were all dirty and had dust in the bottom of them. When getting served the members of staff ignored me as their customer and stood talking between themselves. Had to wait for members of staff to finish talking and ask them to clear a table for us even though it was basically empty. Every table had dirty dishes and unwanted food on them.

Just a quick stop for coffee and snack, couldn’t fault it. Staff were friendly despite a busy morning. Tables did need clearing, but we may of just arrived after a busy spell. Muffins were lovely and fresh.

We ordered the chicken, chorizo and mozzarella panini, which looked lovely on the sign at the entrance. When we got these we discovered 1 single chunk of chorizo in each of our paninis. Certainly looked nothing like it did on the advertisement. I pointed this out and was told it must have just been the mix but didn't receive any apology. Fresh paninis were made for us and brought across to the table but the previous paninis were never taken away. Instead the member of staff positioned the new paninis on the edge of the table, around the previous ones despite there being no space. I had to take our previous plates and dump them on another table myself just so we had space to eat. Finally tucking into the paninis and these were very bland due to the lack of chorizo yet again. Only positive was that the smoothies were nice at least but overall found Muffin break to be expensive. Won't be returning.

We love this muffin break- the food and drinks are always spot on, and the staff are really friendly and helpful. The only downside is that the front of the cafe is open so whatever annoying noisy shows they have on outside you have to listen to them, we avoid going if the metrognomes are around

It seems that people with wheat intolerance are suffering when they visit Muffin Break, since the products they supply are Very limited and also very poor product selection. Since they are constantly increasing the price of their products, also the size of the muffins have decreased big style. When there is an advent lets say Valentine’s Day, muffin break bring out a range of ordinary muffin for the event but us coeliacs out there do not get the benefits of muffin breaks special muffins, i have tried without any success to get Muffin Break head office to reply to my enquiries, but seems my email address must be getting blocked or listed as spam, so not much of a customer care program. The gluten free range itself has not been developed and from one of the very few replies i got back ‘Muffin Break’ are not developing the range, so we are now stuck with over priced slightly larger than a cup cake size muffin. So i guess there will be those who say different, but seems this year the price of gluten free muffin has raised twice and now just priced under muffin breaks specialsSo will Muffin Break, do anything or not, that is the question a lot of wheat intolerant people would like to know.

Due to a Hospital Appointment & spending to long on the business we were doing at the Metro Centre we did have not have much time so decided to have a quick sandwich. Being near the Muffin Break we decided to dive in there. I had a Tuna & Mayo Sandwich my Wife a Chicken Mex Wrap. Sandwich had plenty of filling but tasted as though it had been better the week before. The whole Sandwich had a sort of sour taste so not wanting to take the chance with being a warm day & Tuna it ended up binned. My Wife said the Wraps were very dry so only ended up her eating the filling. Tea was watery & I am sure the last time that I was as weak as the tea was they were saying prayers around the bed. For the price that we paid for a load of rubbish I will mark the Muffin Break well off my list & spend a few more minutes finding something more suitable.Would I go back : A big definately NO.Would I recommend it: probably to someone I did not get on with.

Had visited numerous times, especially within the last month or so and I am always happy with the service received. I'm currently heavily pregnant and the other person in the party is disabled, and the staff were super helpful in helping us get to a table and bringing over our order. No other coffee shop I've been to has offered this. The cakes are always amazing and would happily order them all each time I go in.

Good news... the Metro Centre is open till 10pm for Xmas shopping. Bad news... Muffin Break isn't. We arrived at Muffin Break at 8.55pm to be told they were closing at 9pm. A really rude and ignorant staff member sullenly said they were closing - no smile, no apology, no manners. Very disappointed as we usually enjoy coffee here... we left and went to a coffee shop where they actually want customers... we'll use that one instead in future.

Stopped off for a pit stop after walking around the metrocentre, (I was with toddler whilst son and partnet were in the cinema) nice welcome from the staff ordered a latte and a muffin, was told they would bring over, found a table sat down within minutes order arrived(very pleased) was sorting out daughter so didn't pay much attention as to where I had sat....was absolutely filthy both under the table and on rubbish scattered everywhere under the table, then went to give daughter her snack and noticed food ground into the table! Was put off with eating the muffin the 'latte was very strong too so didn't drink much, very disappointed lots of staff (or so it seemed) place could have been a lot cleaner.

! ! The Metrocentre has no shortage of places to stop for coffee but the Muffin Break chain do pride themselves on offering good coffee made by proper baristas and this branch is no exception. The food isn't cheap but the muffins are good quality, and large, and can easily be shared. Muffin Break is very popular with our children because it offers babycinos (or whatever they're calling them now) which are basically steamed milk with chocolate sprinkled on top and marshmallows (the exact design can vary from shop to shop). These are usually cheap and keep the children occupied while Mum gets to sip her flat white and tries to keep a decent-size portion of the muffin for herself.

Visited Muffin Break with daughter whilst shopping at the Metro Centre. Placed order for 2 Brie and Cranberry Paninis ,coffee and tea. The assistant gave us our drinks and said she would bring the paninis over when they were ready. When they arrived we were given turkey and stuffing not brie. When I returned mine to the counter I was told they had no brie. Surely we should have been told this when placing order. By the time I returned to table with a replacement of a scone my daughter had almost finished her meal and my tea was cold. Not the best experience but perhaps this was a one off.

The food in this place is beautiful, unfortunately the stone trough is let down by its staff, my daughter and I finished our lunch and decided we would like a cider to finish off the meal, we stood at the bar for 10 minutes while 5 staff members passed by us, not one of them had the good manners to say I won’t be long, and one of them stood at the side of the bar chatting to her friend right in front of us. I will think twice before going again. I can’t abide bad manners
