Good value for money staff really nice and friendly and meals didn't take long would definitely go back

Just spent the afternoon in the Waggoner watching the Rugby. Made to feel very very welcome, the food was excellent and the staff very friendly and helpful. Met a great bunch of ex- rugby players which all added to the great atmosphere. Would highly recommend. Thank you. Smith.

Great place for a reasonably priced bite to eat. Thursdays especially after 8pm as they sell 2 pints of Madri or Birra Moretti for 7 quid! Can all get 2 mains for 12 quid during the week. Quiz night on a Thursday is also a bonus!

Never been here before for food but was not disappointed, my partner had the mushroom & garlic bake while I had the tandoori temptress burger with onion bhaji on top, both were very nice and will definitely be going back, staff very nice as well.

Lovely place lovely staff,and food delicious 🤤 update!! 2nd time we went steak was chewy and inedible for my partner so he asked the person who was serving us to sort it out but that young member of staff was very cheeky and told us to take our food to the chef because he had clocked off or to come back next day when he was back on shift,which was confusing that he expected us to take the steak into kitchen ourselves,but spoke to another member of staff which he offered free drink and dessert.

Nice, spacious, comfortable place for family meal. Kids (toddlers) friendly. Staff friendly too. Ample parking..

Some of the best staff, you'll ever find! Always friendly, kind and helpful without lurching around. The meal deals are great value and if you get a meal with onions, they can't be beat! Dessert menu is ok, but more options would be nice.

Have been coming here on and off for a few years now. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food is competitively priced (albeit not the biggest of portions), and tasty. They have special offers on regularly - eg Over 60's 2- course meal for £6.50.

Last visit to Waggon Team pub was approx 20 years ago. On this visit today …. Really lovely, friendly, helpful staff, really good menu, good range of meals, decent prices, lovely environment. Very busy teatime with loads of families and kids. Afternoons quieter. I’ll definitely be going back.

Visited on my birthday 30th may 7.30pm with family of 7 the meals were all lovely, staff plesant and lovely and clean, we love the idea you can bring your dog in. We have only been here twice last time was on xmas day 2023 and an amazing meal, my mum is disabled and the staff could not be any more politer it made our xmas special as we brung our 2 dogs also. We will be back again thankyou on behalf of our family .

Just returned from having the finest mixed grill I have ever tasted I travel a lot for work and nearly always opt for this meal, but I highly recommend this one. I had it with rice instead of chips, steak. pork, chicken and sausage all amazing complimented by super tasty onions Service friendly and welcoming thanks for the experience see you next month

We have just visited this gem of a pub . The food is 1st class we went for the chicken share platter it was amazing, lots of choice and for £15.99 it was well worth it. We shared a choc sundae as we were both full off the meal. This pub is soo friendly and the staff never stop and are still the friendliest ever. The manager is a nice friendly guy who gets involved when busy. They even have a dog menu which I think is fab. This is our go to pub every few weeks when we get out. We highly recommend please give them a try you won't be disappointed.

This a great dog/family friendly place. Food is fine and always a choice of decent beers. Staff are excellent.

We used this venue to have a christening for our daughter. The space was perfect, the staff so flexible, friendly and accommodating and great value for money. I would highly recommend. We had a great time and the venue made it so easy in terms of preparation, decorating the space and being generally fab. Can't thank them enough!

Food is fab. All the staff are absolutely amazing and go out of there way for you, even when they are rushed off they’re feet they’re so friendly and do anything for you. Staff deserve a medal. Especially MEL. She goes out of her way every time we come. Including, karl, libby and mark. The staff make this place. And food is always lovely. Thank yous!

My grandson took me here for first time a few weeks ago so I took my husband and the food was amazing,one of the best gammon my husband said in a long time two meals 1149 amazing offer,will definitely be back

We visited on the 20th Feb at 6.30pm and ordered Hunters Chicken and Gammon from the 2 meals for £11.49 menu. Both meals were cooked to perfection. The gammon was thick and juicy and the chicken moist and tender. Very good value and cooked very well.

Perfect family friendly pub, allows dogs and accommodate for them with a doggie menu. Excellent service to both humans and furry babies. It states outside its dog friendly snt come in if a dog might offend you 😜

Meal was average and meal interrupted by a yappy little dog whitch kept yapping all the time we were in the pub ,personally I think if food is being served then no dog's allowed, and I think the staff should have asked them to go outside till dog calmed down ,to many pubs catering for dog's not people nowadays

Cracking pub, very friendly some great meal deals mid week

I have eaten here before and food has been nice in the past, I had a burger and chips, chips were cold onion rings cold and burger not very nice at all. As staff if they had a new chief as it was as nice as normal and they were a little rude.

What a fantastic place…. The staff are brilliant go over and beyond to make sure their customers are taken care of. Lovely atmosphere.. very friendly… food is great and the price is even better… Ed and Mark are the best staff you could get! Highly recommended…

Brilliant trip out to the Waggon Team at Team Valley, Ed and the team are amazing! Lovely food, I had the soft tacos with crispy chicken and they were gorgeous. We’ll 100% be back again! Such a friendly lovely atmosphere. 100% one of best pubs around! Very dog friendly.. loves the pouches and they treat them like royalty

Horrific experience, pre ordered the Christmas fayre and paid a deposit only to be told they didn’t have my order, shouty loud staff with poor manners, frozen food not very well microwaved!! I certainly won’t be going back x

We were in a party of 6 and 2 puppys, xmas day for our 4 course dinner, from walking in the door to leaving the staff were fantastic , helpful , courteous , polite ,and the meal was amazing , piping hot , tasty. we would all like to say a huge thankyou for making our xmas day perfect . 100% recommened and we all will be back .

Just visited for a Sunday lunch with the family was served by a guy called Ed. Very friendly and helpful dinner was amazing and lovely restaurant will definitely be back soon 😋

I rang to reserve a table for 3 adults and a baby for 2pm. On arriving I gave my name and the server showed me to a table with 2 seats in a walkway, I told her the booking was for 3 and a baby she said it was made for 2. She was quite abrupt when speaking to me, I explained why would I make it for 2 when they was 3 of us. She did show me to a different table which was great. I ordered food at the bar and I asked for an upgrade of waffle chips with one meal, but I wasn't heard obviously as these didn't arrive with our meals. I ordered a mixed grill sizzler, a hunters chicken sizzler and a gammon sizzler with a runny egg. Although the plates were hot these weren't sizzling at all and quickly got cold, the runny egg was not particularly runny at all. My daughter found something in her peas that resembled fish and when I questioned it, the same server was again abrupt and said it wouldn't be fish as they haven't cooked any that day. Her attitude came across as very condesending and rude. The toilets in here are a tight squeeze and outdated, I used one and I couldn't get the door shut without having to straddle the toilet, literally no room between the door and the toilet bowl, when closing it after me they was about an inch gap between the two of them. Not ideal at all. This is such a shame as I went to a different Green King bar/restaurant last week and the difference is like night and day. Needless to say I was very disappointed with the overall experience and shall not be returning.

Needed food and a drink so dropped in to Waggon Team as close to hotel. Greated with friendly service, a great Guinness and superb food. Couldn't ask for more.

It's pretty much what you expect from a large pub chain, it's standard fare the food is well cooked and well presented, the service was a little slow considering there was nobody in the place when we were there, it is in the sort of price bracket that most pub chains operate in and has different specials on most days of the week, it's convenient for a quick lunch or tea without needing to book, as an update we have recently had the golden years offer a few times (Sept 2023) £4.49 for 2 courses or £5.99 for 3 courses, although this is a smaller portion size it is perfectly adequate and was very enjoyable

2nd time eating in and really enjoyed the food and atmosphere again, will be back again

Nice place - cozy, if a bit dark, and food is nice with good choices. They also have regular events with local ales, ciders and the like. Can get very busy at times but you can book a table if you are planning a larger meal!

Stayed in premier inn 5 mins away, we didn’t know the area and were nervous but the staff were so welcoming and friendly! We were very impressed with the food and the service as a whole, we will go again next time!

1st of all can i say the staff member that setved us was fantastic even tho it was his 1st day but the chef shood be shot with his own food We went to this place as it said new menu so my wife n I thought yeah give it a go Big mistake no coffee machine working and they wouldn't even boil a kettle for my wife we ordered the sharing plater had to ask for small plates forks were not even on table just knifes plater was good but main male omg surf n turf the stake was Un eatable ( more gristle then bear grillis trying to eat a raw animal ) med well ordered she got med rare ( good vet could of got it walking around again ) chicken was like a brick chips cold n hard scampi was raw Dunk n dip burger was as black as a coal miner after a 15 hr shift and that's black the bun you would of thought had been put on the grill n forgot about it for a hour on full heat never will I go to this pub for food again even if it was free Orange juice was nice tho

We go here on a Thursday when you can get 2 burger meals for 1. Food is nice and staff are great. Would really recommend this place for food if in the area. Plenty of parking which is a bonus.

Came for the Thursday night quiz and card bingo. Had a great night and a great laugh. The staff are so friendly and make you feel so special. Would totally recommend

Steak wasn't particularly good quality; tough and gristly despite being cooked medium rare, but the rest of the food was lovely. Staff were great, very attentive and looked out for their customers in relation to Meal Deals.

Food was lovely. Portions are just right. The staff are welcoming and friendly. The kids have loved going. Reasonably priced.

No wait staff so had to seat ourselves, then we were sat there for at least 30 minutes before we decided to leave because no one came to take our order, only one staff member seen running the bar, can't comment on the food as we never got that far into our visit here.
