We went for food and took our two year old grandson. Both the food and service were excellent. Julie, who took our order and the chap from the kitchen who brought out the food were really friendly and great with our grandson. We felt very looked after.

We booked a large group of people for a late breakfast and staff were very helpful and food very good. Thank you all

Beautiful sandwiches, but the breakfast wasnt to my taste - the farmers breakfast had too much paprika it overwhelmed the entire dish. The table we sat at had unclean cutlery and noone asked me how everything was even though I barely touched my meal and several people walked past.

Family birthday lunch - food cold - service very slow even though not busy. will not return.

Mash potatoes, swede,cauliflower , peas or green beans Should not be sold as Sunday lunch Never had Sunday lunch served before without mash or potatoes (boiled) and lack of veg. Very poor value Will not be returning

Today we had our dinner here and it was very very good. Ellie served us and is really nice towards the customers and want them to have a good evening and nice food. We are on a road trip but would definitely come back if we stayed here longer.

I'm a regular visitor to this pub and today was greeted by Ross who was not only polite and funny but remembered what I usually order. It was a sunny day so sat outside and Tanya brought drinks to our table which was much appreciated. Thanks to Christine and Courtney also for making my visit worthwhile.

Sunny day so we decided to sit outside. Disappointing because the sunny area was full of people with dogs and we had to sit in the shade. Sandwiches and fries were ordered and after waiting 25 minutes I asked where our food was. It appeared immediately after I asked. We ate most of it but the fries were cold. I should have complained but didn't.

The atmosphere is lovely and the staff are so friendly. The food was beautiful and very reasonably priced too. Would definitely recommend for a lovely meal in a very welcome environment

We stayed for one night and will definitely be returning. Lovely big room with a super king bed and a single for our child. Very comfortable, lovely bedding and very clean. The toiletries were very nice too. The tea tray was great, good tea and coffee (and a tea pot!!!), good biscuits and milk sachets. Loved the decor and colours. Homely and comfortable. We ate dinner and breakfast in the pub, the food was very good and the breakfast fantastic value at £10.50, it set us up wonderfully for the day. The thing which sets the Ravensworth Arms out far above the other hotels we have stayed in nearby though is the staff. Warm, friendly, kind and just fantastic. From the lovely initial greeting, the quick check in, the lovely waitress at dinner and the very friendly staff this morning, they really made our stay fantastic.

Just spent a very enjoyable weekend here. Great food. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Definitely coming back for a longer stay next year. The location was excellent.

Stopped off for Sunday lunch as everywhere else was close sed or had stopped serving for the day. Really pleased we did, food was delightful, service was excellent and a lovely atmosphere. Would definitely recommend and go again.

Wonderful meal as always at the fantastic Ravensworth Arms. Julie, our waitress was lovely, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Meal was fantastic, we’ve been coming here for 20 years or more and never had a bad experience. Celebrated our wedding anniversary today, in a wonderful setting, with a wonderful meal and a great atmosphere.

Met friends who were staying,we met in the bar. The drinks were reasonable and staff were very welcoming.

Have eaten here every night for the last week and have really enjoyed myself. The food is great. Everyone is really friendly. Alana, one of the waitresses, is an angel. Shes so lovely and helpful and extremely attentive! Love her. Never a dull moment. Highly recommend

Popped in for a quick bite to eat and was not disappointed. The burger and the fish and chips were excellent. Reasonably priced too. 16 July 2024, once again not disappointed with the food and the service. Yet another lovely visit.

Arrived with friend at @1pm--waited for menu ,finally ordered ,then waited almost an hour for food to arrive!!Pork --what there was of it --was tough and devoid of"apple glaze" flavour.Carrots were cold.chunk of seared cabbage also cold--and tough.We were offered coffee and a small pudding to make up for long wait-a little pot of mediocre trifle. The waiter was friendly and apologetic,but this did not make up for a very disappointing visit.

Such a lovely atmosphere and vibe. Dog friendly and a firm family favourite. Came here for a birthday meal with family and everyone left happy and content

We had a lovely dinner here. The menu was extensive and they were able to cater to nut allergies and gluten free. We were served by Alana who was helpful and bubbly. The food was delicious and the portions were generous!

Been a couple of times, this time was for a Graduation meal. Food was great, good quantities and great quality. Service was mint, Alana was very helpful and had a great sense of humour.

Cheese and bacon burger was lovely hot and fresh very filling, had the sticky toffee pudding for desert which was also very nice. Server Alana was very friendly and a good laugh. Enjoy you pints👍

First of all, fantastic service from Alana. She made us feel very welcome and helped us however we needed. The food has vastly improved lately and the beer selection is lovely. Will definitely be coming again and I'm already planning next visit!

Alana gave us amazing service as soon as we walked in. Welcoming and accommodating, couldn't have asked for a better waitress. Will be returning for her and the food. Lovely food and perfect service.

Update June 24 - first of all Alana was fantastic and provided 5 star service. The drinks and food have drastically improved after going downhill a couple of years ago - possibly a chef change? Well worth a visit again! Really nice staff and lovley food, always enjoy the drinks too. Nice beer garden and the decked area is smoke free which I like. Only problem is I don't live close enough!

Excellent hotel and restaurant/bar. Food is amazing and cooked to perfection, having tried several dishes over the past few months. Bar staff are so friendly ( special thanks to Jake for an excellent customer service). Everywhere is spotlessly clean. Will continue to return as it has such a nice ambience.

Lovley couple of hours at the ravensworth arms lamsley, with dog, service polite, and professional, had a light bite ( the graze) along with chips and onion ring, which was tasty, would have again, served.by Elie

Lovely old time charm to the building. Great real ale choices, well kept . Staff are friendly, attentive and welcoming. Food I honest, no frills predominantly British fayre of high quality. Served by Ellie and Jill tonight. Two quality staff members who could not be happier or more efficient. Highly recommended to all.

Popped in for a meal with friends and from start to finish the service was amazing. Had our meal in the restaurant and then went into the bar area for further drinks as we didn’t want to leave! Nothing was too much of a trouble for the restaurant and bar staff. Such a lovely, cosy atmosphere within the pub. Great food and drinks, will be back soon! :)

Had my son’s 21st birthday meal here. All meals were pre ordered except the birthday boy as it was a surprise gathering. We were served by Cat and Jordan, who kept us flowing with drinks and both exceptionally helpful! Food was amazing, served promptly and efficiently by the lovely Leah and Mark. And last but by no means least, the birthday cake was delivered by Bailey and the fabulous singer Ross! Lovely personal touch. Thank you so much guys, we had a great time!

Popped in on a Friday evening with my daughter and granddaughter for an early Father’s Day meal. Greeted and seated promptly. Service was excellent and friendly. Drinks were served quickly and the food arrived in good time. We ordered off the specials menu and we were glad we did. All meals were delicious. The sauce with the pork was amazing. Presentation was very pretty too. Good sized portions. We were all incredibly satisfied and glad we chose the Ravensworth for our meal.

Nice place a good food. Can get busy, so for certain times of day, it's a good idea to book.

£17 for a dinner . Not much for money. Still hungry after dinner. don't ask for pizza for kids . Turned up like a pizza you get from iceland you put in microwave. Like cardboard. Be giving this place a miss

EDIT: To get past the robot who answers the phone, make your first two responses “Human Please”. I found that this was sufficient to get put through. (Not going to reassess my rating until the robot is permanently decommissioned.) We stayed for two nights at this pub. While the accommodation and the overall atmosphere were pleasant, I must highlight a significant downside: the automated telephone system. This robot is incredibly frustrating to deal with, and it seriously affected our experience. The staff themselves are wonderful but apologetic about the robot, which has been imposed on them by the head office. It’s clear that the employees dislike the system as much as the customers do. This cumbersome robot even prevents the staff from efficiently managing phone communications. Whether you or they need to call in to say you're running late or an employee needs to call in sick, everyone has to struggle through this annoying automated system. Until the management resolves this issue, I can't see myself returning. It’s a shame because, apart from this major inconvenience, the pub has a lot to offer. I will be happy to re-assess my ratings and review ONLY AFTER the telephone robot has been decommissioned AND I receive a solemn promise that it will NEVER be reinstated.

My friends and myself go here every week, we always enjoy the food, staff are lovely. I sometimes have the small breakfast , which consists of bacon, egg, sausage, beans and a small piece of toast. Very nice.

I had lunch at this establishment with two friends and we were all extremely disappointed One friend had a pork terine starter which was supposed to come with toasted bread but they were more like 3 small crackers that she found really difficult to eat as they were so solid hard she was worried they may break a tooth I had pork loin roast dinner and my other friend HDD turkey roast dinner. When the two dinners arrived it was like dll the vegetables had been thrown on the plate. So cabbage had carrots over the top along with broccoli and the tiniest roast potatoes which were like bullets as they were so hard. I had 2 tiny slices of pork and crackling they was completely inedible unless you wanted to lose your teeth. The meat was very dry and nothing was separate on the plate just all thrown together and my friends turkey dinner was exactly the same.the only decent thing in the plate were the Yorkshire puddings. A member of staff asked if everything was ok and I said not really and explained that it was very unsatisfactory the said she would tell the kitchen staff. Plus when we did our meals they arrived I would say 3 minutes later at the table we were astonished that these could be cooked and brought to us in this timeframe. Plus when we arrived we had only been in there 5-10 mins and had ordered drinks and waitress kept coming over to ask us if we were ready to order and we asked for a little time as we just wanted a quick catch up before we ordered but she proceeded to come back a few minutes later to ask us again so we kindly said please can you give us a little longer. The Sunday lunch was £16 and was very disappointing in fact I left half of mine and my friend also left some of hers and the portion sizes were extremely small. What annoyed us more than anything was the fact that we were asked by a second member of staff if everything had been ok and when we told them not one person apologised or sent anyone over to find out what the problems were, really poor customer service and we will definitely not be back or recommending this place to friends or family

Rooms are lovely, however the food is shocking and way overpriced I had seabass my absolute favourite, I should have sent it back two tiny pieces of soggy fish and a couple of boiled potatoes in a cream sauce with peas and capers, I don't have the biggest of appetites but had this eaten in 3 minutes and I was left still hungry. My partner had a duo of chicken which was supposed to be with BBQ sauce, this was as dry as sticks because it came with a tiny drizzle of sauce. We ordered a extra portion of chips which were clearly cooked frozen chips 🤬will not be returning that's for sure !!!

Had Sunday lunch a few times, everything apart from the meat was lovely. I felt the meat was poor quality! Staff are very friendly and the pub is lovely, in a great location.

Popped in for food. Decided on the fish and chips after looking at the potential heart attack material of the other meals on offer (so much butter!). Meal was bland and overpriced (I suspect ingredients were premade and not from scratch as I've had better from frozen). Staff were pleasant and the lass that we spoke to first was friendly and welcoming. However, won't be returning. 1 star for the food, 2 overall for the staff (no offence to them).

Great location, food and ambiance. It's been a while since been for a meal there and highly recommend. Kids liked it too.

Really disappointing. Price points of the food suggest it should be high standard/decent portions. £3.50 for a small bowl of skinny fries, kids pizza that looks like it’s straight out of a Chicago town pizza box and bog standard oven chips on other meals. Only saving graces is that the environment is nice and we didn’t wait too long for the food but won’t be back.

Service slow, staff too busy clearing tables/having a laugh in the back. Tomato soup was like a pasta sauce watered down.Paid over £16 for a pie. It looked impressive when it arrived. It was all pie crust however. Hardly any meat and what meat there was, was mainly fat and gristle. Very disappointed. I have had pies in many a pub/restaurant and never been let down like this, and even when paying less!!

Lovely cosy pub located just 2mins from the A1/Team Valley. Great traditional pub food, well cooked and well priced. Decent drinks selection too. Recommended.

Came to the UK and got recommended this place. Service was amazing and staff were very friendly and helpful. Special thanks to bailey and cat who were very helpful in their recommendations and they recommended the Glazed pork belly which was very nice. Would recommend to anyone driving past.

Came for lunch today. Nice and clean pub with great outdoor seating areas. Decor is nice and staff lovely and friendly food was nice my only reason for knocking a star off is that the grilled sea bass for mains was very small compared to the mains.

We stayed over Easter 2024. The staff are friendly and helpful. The room was clean, tidy and very well decorated. There were a few issues which let the place down: The phone is NEVER answered and if you eventually get through the person dosent know how to deal with your issue. There are no staff on at night at all and the "contact number" is never answered and even if you leave a message no one gets back. The heating went off the first night and we could not contact anyone. The room was freezing and the heating was fixed the next day otherwise we would have moved hotels. The staff all had coats on at breakfast! The bathroom fan was stuck on which made the room icy. No one knew how to fix it , eventually I found the isolator switch high above the door and stood on a chair to turn it off. The cooked breakfast was excellent but the continental was awful, stale pastries, stale fruit no yogurt and they brought the bread for the toast out four slices at a time! Must be a bread shortage in the North East. The hotel is lovely and the housekeeping are great but the hotel is let down by the poor concierge and the booking system which is completely broken. The continental breakfast needs a big improvement as well. A shame really as with some very easy fixes this could be a great hotel.

Great food, great service. Everyone had a smile on their face and were more than helpful. Checked on by staff at the start and during our meals. Food came out quickly and everything was spot on. Highly recommended!

Poor service, waited over 40 mins after drinks to order food. Drinks order was completely wrong. Sunday lunch beef was tough, couldn't eat it and veg were hard not al denté. Waited another 30 mi s but desserts didn't arrive. Asked 4 different staff for help but nothing happened. Really disappointed, this used to be a good place to visit for lunch.

Great food good selection of beers. Yorkshire puddings are a must. Was a lovely celebration for my mums 70th. Thanks again

We went to try the Sunday dinner. It wasn't a five star rating as the roast meat was cold and I prefer my vegetables and gravy on the side.
