Excellent pub. Didn't rate the food because I didn't have any.

Poor, even by Wetherspoons standard. For some reason staff cannot check is food has a certain ingredient or not, they refer you to some board or the app? It doesn't say the ingredients on the app where you can order food/drink. Food was served quickly. Dirty tables, full of glasses.

Good spoons this . Tim would be proud .

The only issue I have is a group of people will go in for food and the booths and larger tables will be occupied by 1 or 2 people chatting leaving groups to sit on separate tables for food

Microwaved food, not fresh at all, even if the salad looks like it's days old.

Great Wetherspoons, lots of people, would massively recommend table service, we went to bar also and was fast service. The toilets though, hmm! Heard about toilets up stairs and far away, this pub is one of them, it's not a massive hike but up stairs, Has an outside drinking area, under brollies too.

Myself & my boyfriend were here today with my 1 year old son, my boyfriend is 20 year old and myself 19. We had just got here and sat at a table checking the menu to order our dinners! NO ALCOHOL! when we were told we had to leave because we had no ID?? Never knew we needed id to order food!

Went for a meal with our daughter who was staying at trinity Square student accommodation, we've been here a few times and the staff are always nice, the food is always hot and well presented,the drinks are good and the price is great

One star after what he done during covid to the staff, spend your money in the nags or met, staff are lovely and keep it well.

The pepperoni was sensational the pallet was overwhelmed with flavours it burst into a firework in the mouth the top five pizzas of my lifetime!!! Service was good and very good prices Weatherspoons are superb

EGGS...READ CHEFS...we like them runny, not hard!! Sausages tho mmmmm banging! Bring back the lurpack for breakfast 😫. Can't beat refill cuppas in the morning to go with it. jugs of cocktails are amazing price through the day. Godfather mmmm Music could be good at certain times of the day

went to this Wetherspoons on my way into town to get some lunch and wasn't impressed with one of the managers, Martyn speaking to a staff member I over heard him being aggressive with the staff member not sure of their name really not good customer service wont be going back here again. Shows a lot about a place when they speak to their staff with such disrespect

Used to be great place for food and a friendly drink. Now new rules give staff authority to stop serving drink. In all my years of going have seen people falling down drunk and still served. I was there with my daughter's and only had 4 pints and daughter refused by staff as they said she was too drunk. I know 100% she was not. The staff and management were younger than my daughter. So now myself, daughters and friends have stopped going in but know this won't stop them from making money.

Calm and peaceful place to go for a meal or pint.

Had my New Year's eve breakfast here, after meeting my son from the gym, next door. What a lovely treat! Nice place, relaxed atmosphere and very pleasant staff. Food spot on! We will do this again!

Went afternoon for a couple of pints £1.79. No John smiths which was disappointing, so had to get Worthington,but a varied selection of other drinks to be had, Pretty busy, but did not have to wait long to be served.

Very handy for the interchange. Visited on a really cold and wet night before catching transport, but a warm friendly place to have a drink and warm up.

They did NOT have Guinness! I can't believe it! Absolutely shocking! I can only say it was nice and warm inside while there's a winter out there but still a poor choice of drinks so I wasn't stopping for long

The breakfasts served up this morning was inedible. We had to send it back first as it was stone cold. When it came out it was appalling. Unsurprisingly noone came to check whether it was ok or collected it whilsy we were sitting there for over 30 minutes. Yes we are the ones who took one bite and left all of it. The food had been a little better over recent months we thought you must have got new staff. What was served today you should be ashamed of!

The only time I have had a Steak and Kidney Pudding where the pastry was more like shortcrust as if it had been cooked in the oven, and not steamed as the puddings should be. The beer was on form though.

I didn't eat here but the pub has a good atmosphere and the staff were really nice.

One of the best priced pubs in Gateshead town centre. Not all spoons do the smashed avacado muffins for breakfast, so it’s great that these are provided. On this occasion some the bacon was only look warm, as were the eggs. Can’t go wrong with the unlimited coffee though.

I have been here a number of times and never understand why they never clear your table after over 1 and a half hour you have glasses pile up even when quiet staff walk past your table see loads of empty glasses where there not much room to put new drinks and don't care ,think the manager prob sit in office watching his phone

I have been to a few wetherspoons for breakfast and always been pleased, but the one in Gateshead was not that nice. Breakfast was over cooked, there seemed to be a shortage of staff. Tables needed cleared, areas needed tidied, not impressed.

Great service, above and beyond! Cheap and cheerful as always! Can always rely on them for a cheap drink!

Good grub brilliant atmosphere would go again

Rude staff with sassy attitude problems, unclean tables and the worst food i've ever had in a spoons. Staff were more bothered about watching the telly than serving. Roudy swearing customers that weren't asked to calm down. All around awful family meal out.

Unfortunately my husband's meal came but mine was incorrect and by the time hubby finished his mine arrived, not appreciated as hubby had to watch me eat my meal and likewise

Good solid spoons pub no more to say.

A pub that is a lot longer that it is wide; deceptively big. It also has a beer garden at the rear, and is the classic Wetherspoon format. The bar is sensibly placed in the middle, along the left side, the toilets are opposite on the right.

Gets the job done like most spoons do

After attending my mams funeral we headed here as it had been pre booked for a few people to attend afterwards to celebrate my mams life , after ordering food and drinks , spending approx £150.00 , the drinks arrived and the girl bringing them had a stinking attitude on her , forgot half the drinks and when i said this she blurted out to me only got one pair of hands ! Disgusting when your a paying customer and just had your mam cremated , i think she needs a talking to , food was nice , a guy delivered those to us and he was a nice gent , after eating our food we ordered more drinks and wish we hadnt , as the place started to fill up with roudy lads , moving tables and chairs around , blocking us in , if it wasnt for a lady going to the loo we would have been stuck , as i wouldnt have spoke to them , you could tell they were trouble , so my first ever visit there , and it will be my last . My visit was Friday 30th June .

It's a Spoons. You get told not to go because the owner's a villainous scumbag but you know you'll go because ya know, the pints and the grub are cheap. Expecting top notch grub? No, you won't get that here but it's Spoons so who gives a toss? The best part about this Spoons though is that you don't have to do the equivalent of the Great North Run to get to the toilet! For that reason alone, this is one of the greatest Spoons in the country!

Love this place it's got everything great variety of cheap drinks, good food, a great atmosphere, and staff very friendly and helpful.

Good weartherspoons bar great staff friendly service it's a good edition to Gateshead high street it's spacious inside and you can usually always get a seat the prices are always reasonable it's a good bar to spend a couple of hours in ..

Just popped in for a drink (no food), and although it was quite busy, found a table with no problem. Ordered using the app, and the drinks arrived quickly. The person who brought them - the manager I believe - was very friendly.

Clean and inexpensive bar and restaurant service outlet. Serve almost all sorts of drinks in their varieties and options. Restaurant services is also available although I am yet to have one, will soon. Toilet is always clean and smell good too. Family friendly too.

This used to be my regular go to for a catch up with food. With not being there for quite a while I noticed a few more meals added to the menu. My guest though decided on the American cheese burger and chips,, sounded lovely, however when it arrived I was mortified.....it was smaller than a child's portion, ..with the prices going up,I never thought that they would make the portions smaller... Sorry but won't be eating again here.

Myself and husband came here today and food was lovely but when ordering the male team leader who served me just didn't seam to want to be at work and being in the hospitality industry Myself it doesn't look good if you look like you don't care about being at work and when a customer spoke to him he made no eye contact just kept working then left all the dirty trays on the table and off he went and another member of rhe team had to clear it.....if he didn't want to be at work why is he in the hospitality industry

Well kept real ales, clean and friendly pub, unfortunately prices have increased, big negative bowl of chips now costing £4.03, at the table next to me, big discussions regarding the food prices.

A little disappointed after today, there was a couple who where asked to leave .OK they might have had a enough to drink. They were asked to leave the premises and did so with a couple of words exchange with bar staff , the couple never swore at bar staff as leaving. I work in Hospitality and if I was behind the bar I would of let the couple leave and be done with. However I witnessed the 2 young bar staff staff got and made comments as they left which were not necessary and could of easily been avoided. Listen I work in that environment and yes it's tough but, my opinion the bar staff were out of order .

A very nice bar (Wetherspoons) in the centre ov Gateshead. The staff were friendly and informative. It was quite busy, however, very relaxed atmosphere, unlike my local in Whitley Bay. 4 Stars.. Because it was 30p - 50p more expensive than my local Wetherspoons.

Went for breakfast 5 of us, breakfast was stone called, got one of staff to take it back he came back with the same breakfast boiling hot and everything was creamated not a very good service

It's always busy, the food is good and the drinks are reasonable. It is easily accessible and has plenty of slot machines. You pay for your order over the counter and have to get your own tea and coffee from a machine...it's not nice

Great place to have a traditional breakfast next to the Gateshead metro station. They are very friendly and let me use their toilets before ordering. Then I had a capuccino which was excellent and comes with free refills and a cheap breakfast 😋😋😋There is WiFi and they let you charge your phone. No questions asked. I will be back Big thanks.

Visited the tilley stone for food and drink Served by a young lad called Elliott. Nothing was too much hassle even when I'm being fussy, seemed very happy. Food and drink was spot on. I'll be back next time I'm visiting the northeast again

Lovely place replecment drinks for darkfruits ect arent to good and cannot mix drinks if you luke something that isnt a usual mixed drink or cocktail.
