Gills Fish & Chips in Gateshead

First time ordering tonite,waste of money ordered garlic bread with tomato small amount of tomato burnt and no taste it was awfull

2nd time I've had a pizza which has turned up burnt why would you even send that out????

Food was good but pizzas were burnt slightly. Delivery was late. Would order again but would collect it.

It took 3 hours for delivery rang up they said it was with driver for 1 1/2 hours. It turned up cold

Fish was overcooked as batter on bottom was nearly dark brown

Everything was fine but chicken tikka is vile just fat slimy chicken had to pick it out the wrap and throw it away

We ordered an assortment of pizza, kebabs and fish and chips. They arrived fresh, good quantity of each, excellent quality and very tasty. Gills never disappoint. Thank you for lovely food.

Food was absolutely Grimm chicken looked slimey and was extremely fatty and full of gristle kebab meat had an unusual taste and was dry as a bone the lot went into the bin only edible thing was the chips and nan bread

Waited over 2 hours, double the time 1st expected. Still no sign of order, won't be using again. Shocking service.

Don't waste time. Food almost an hour late. Tried calling to see what was happening didn't answer. Food came cold and a lot missing tried calling again didn't answer so now trying to share half the order that actually came out as best as I can

Absolutely gorgeous Chicken Tikka. So lush, I had to get 2 lots of it this time as my mother wanted some and there's no way I'm sharing mine 😋😋😋 This is the best chicken Tikka I've ever had. Delicious n will certainly be back for more. ♥️👌👍😋

Took nearly 3 hours to deliver don’t answer their phones and food was freezing

Never arrived! Avoid. I placed an order at 8:05pm and was given a time slot of between 9:25 and 9:45pm I only ordered one item (garlic bread) and now when I look at the store closing times they closed at 9:15pm it’s clear they never had any intensions of sending this order or they wouldn’t have put a delivery slot after the store had closed for the night.

Batter on fish was chewy not crisp, chips were reheated. Won’t buy again.

Ordered a few times and to be honest each time it got worse. Chips are usually dry and tasteless and this time pizzas are swimming in grease. This isn’t cheap either, you have to pay 70p for batter, near £4 for chips, £15 a pizza. Time to go somewhere else I think.

Ordered online and the food took over 2.5 hours to arrive phoned the shop several times to ask where my order was and on each occasion was told the driver was on his way when the food finally arrived the chicken in the mixed kebab was full of gristle and the chips awful

delivery was 20 minutes late then the delivery driver dropped the order on the floor on the drive then proceeded to pick the pizza up off the ground and then handed it to me. as if I was going to eat it. so sent the whole order back and asked for a completely new order. as the rest of my oder would be cold. I also phoned the takeaway and explained the situation of what happened. only to be told it will be another hour. then I looked at my doorbell camera to find he had slid past the front of

Wasn’t open at 11:30.am , went back 11:40 , open but told 15mins before anything ready .

Just called in tonight for my fussy husband something to eat, the food was fantastic and the portion sizes were huuuge! He was highly impressed and that takes some doing. The curry sauce was really tasty, yum! Friendly service too.

Chips were scabby, and overall very over priced for what it is. Garlic sauce was nice though.

Spent 15 pound on a garlic bread kebab when it arrived was only a mixed wrap and these are on 10 pound to buy in shop and was 30 mins late really disappointed and tabbed with service

Took 3 hours for a scran that's basically a 5 min walk for me ...very disappointed

Estimated time was an hour but was at our door within 20 mins. Come warm which i find rare with takeaway deliveries. Amazing value for money, small kebab wrap could’ve easily served 2. amazing portion sizes😁will deffo be ordering again

kebab was wrong, asked for mixed meat and got chicken

Paid for a large wrap but was dissapointed when it arrived as it was a standard sized one. Had a large one recently from another place, which was twice the size of this one, so this was dissapointing. Nice for what it was though. If I ordered again, I'd just order a normal sized wrap.

Ordered food at 7pm paid over £26 kids are still waiting for food but has not turned up it’s now 9:31 pm now there closed absolutely appalling not like they are far away either and I did ring to ask how long and they told me it was on the way an hour ago

cannot even get a pizza right, did the driver run over it? use as a Frisbee? last order was horrific and this was the same, I won't order from here ever again, overpriced and horrific quality

Great fish & chips just the right temperature even thou it was freezing outside. Nice curry sauce also. looks like this take away has returned to good times and great food.

Horrific, not ordered from these for some time as they were getting worse, the fish and chips I ordered where expensive but 100% not worth it, the chips were horrific, seems there from last night, don't think I'll be ordering again from here again, fish was of at least it was cooked this time but was thin, thick batter thin fish, normally you pay extra for quality/good food not here, really unhappy

Beautiful tasting food and it was presented well in a large box. Plenty of it we’ll certainly use Gills again great value for money

Disappointed with one of the mixed nan kebab box it was all scraps of kebab meat and 4 pieces of chicken.

Part of order was missing. Contacted shop directly who said would send but waited ages and gave up. Requested a credit but not satisfied

Pizza was burnt. Chips were burnt cold and extremely greasy and the kebab meat was green in parts

The burgers we got were discusting and not worth what we paid for them and looked like they'd been slapped together also they had imprints in the bun as if someone punched the bread wouldn't recommend there burgers

Certainly wont be back after the size of the fish. ive caught bigger fish in the pond by the school as a kid. so thats 2 fish and chip shops on the leam and both are garbage harrys aint any better
