Very good service. Very nice staff. The ice cream wasn’t bad. I should of had it in a tub but I had a cone. Recommended.

Lovely meal in a warm atmosphere. Friendly, helpful staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Even for my Father in law, who was in a wheelchair. Enjoyed our evening.

I normally love going to the Tea Barn and go regularly. I buy all my plants from here as well as going into the restaurant. Today, the lady serving on the counter spoke to me like I was a piece of dirt under her shoe - she was rude, brusque and condescending and gave the impression that she couldn't be bothered being there. What a shame. It will be a while before I consider going back now.

Friendly welcome from excellent and helpful staff. Very efficient service with good, hearty pub grub with generous portions. Good choice of beers and lagers, all in all great value for money.

I have been a regular visitor here for a number of years, staying at the Premier Inn next door. Service has never been good in the evening but it was dreadful on my recent visit. I just wanted a drink to start and had to wait what seemed like forever in a long queue of people ordering complex meals. Surely they should have someone serving just drinks. Then I had to repeat the queue process to order a meal. I spent more time standing there than sitting enjoying things. My table was covered with dirty glasses and cutlery from whoever had been there before and when my meal was delivered to me the waitress just left it there!!

Lovely wetherspoons pub situated in Crook often pop in for something to eat with a drink food is not high end, put the food what is served to us always very nice and presented well.

From and accomodation persepctive this was a horrible experience. Our room wasn’t in the main hotel and while it was clean anything good ended there. It was dated and very shabby with cheap materials and heating that could not be turned down or off (see photo of no radiator valve) Security was poor, we could not lock the downstairs outside door to our room so anyone could have accessed the landing where the door to our room was. To make it worse there was no "spy hole" in the room door that we could have used to determine if someone was there who they were. The carpet on the stair up to our room was filthy and the area smelled of horse manure which occasionally wafted into our room. I hve a video of this but Google does let you upload video. We had two fire alarms in the middle of the first night and the staff appeared confused and unclear about what they and guests should be doing and were more interested in mopping floors and defending the hotels poor procedures than communicating clearly with guests. For neither alarm did anyone come out to direct people to an evacuation point or proactively communicate what guests should do. This was compounded by the telephones in more than our room not working and no one answering the phone at reception when called from a mobile. When I went to the front door of the hotel it was locked and when someone eventually answered it we were told that they were unaware that the alarms were going off in the block we were in. This messaged changed depending on who we spoke to. I have no idea who did or didn’t know what was going on, but no one proactively came to engage with us despite at least 4 staff being present. As we had family in the main building I checked in the morning and the alarm had not gone off in the main block at all despite this being where the sensor had been triggered. For balance, the wedding we attended went without incident and during the day the staff were very attentive, helpful and organised. So from my experience, you would be OK to book your wedding here, just dont stay overnight.

Service can be slow. Prefer over Starbucks which is too bitter. Toasties are basic and ok cake selection. Usually use a drive through but sometimes sit in.

Only called to hotel for food and found a good offer of two meals for £20 and very helpful and friendly bar staff. Steak and Ale pie best tasted for a long time.

I like Witherspoon but this place is packed out every morning till noon with people (. many pensioners ) drinking free refills coffee till it comes out of their ears!.. Trying to get a table is murder so stopped going ,adding the entrance is full of smokers

A modern and well appointed Spoons. Clean and comfortable seating and Bar. Toilets very clean and maintained

Sat upstairs in beer garden. Had katsu curry and fish and chips. Usual weatherspoons food and menu. No problems.

Very disappointing food cold and lack of vegetables for the size of our table. Beef a little undercooked and quite expensive. Would not return
