Thinford Costa's is always clean with friendly staff

I went through the drive-through Costa and got just a medium decaf Cappuccino, cost £3.25 Though the Cappuccino was nice and hot, it tasted quite weak. Great customer service. The Costa is located on the Thinford Roundabout. Spennymore

I would just like to say Thank you so much to the kind, considerate staff at this branch. They are always extremely helpful and friendly....I'm delighted that they found my bank card and kept it in the safe . I'd returned within an hour of being not sure where I'd lost it, and completely dreading the worst. Well done Costa, I'm very grateful 🙏

Every time I have a Costa from here it is tasteless like they don't put the syrups in the number of times I have to complain

Queued in the drive thru for a significant amount of time. The staff blamed the computer system (fair enough), they then got my order completely wrong. Problem with it being a drive thru is that I had already driven off before realising my drink was incorrect. Annoying that I paid for a more expensive drink than the one I received. If I have had to wait in a queue for that length of time at Starbucks then I get my drink free plus a voucher for a free drink in the future too. It's a shame since I generally prefer Costa to Starbucks.

It's safe to say that I'm a regular at this Costa 🤣 it's not the coffee that keeps me coming back, it's the staff 🧡 each and every one of them are absolutely lovely and will always make time for their customers and they all make a pretty damn good coffee haha! Costa - you need to give this team the recognition they deserve because I have never come across a team like it and no matter what day I have had, they always seem to make it better 🧡

This is one of the best Costa's to go to, always friendly, and they seem to have more choice than some others.

The delivery driver insisted on us retrieving a code before he would hand over our order. He was insistant and rude even though our order was paid for and i had even given him a tip. never been asked for a code before and was shocked by his attitude

I go into Costa at Thinford early nearly every morning for an Extra Hot, One Shot Medium Latte and this morning there was excellent service by Mary and Tara and my latte tasted absolutely delicious.

Just went in for a coffee, partner ordered wrong size in error, explained to staff, correct size of coffe was provided with no problem. Very impressed.

I absolutely love coming here for my iced coffees, the staff are always lovely. The only reason I cannot give 5* is because more often than not there are chunks of ice that are too big to sip up the straw and I have to fish them out 😅 but yeah it's always tasty, but sometimes I cannot drink it because shards of ice get jammed in my straw.

Dirty inside alot of times.Sometimes no certain food left at 11am...??? Staff to busy on head sets to each other having loud laughter. customers very uncomfortable in queue and commenting on this). Absolutely nothing wrong with laughter BUT HELLO..to loud. Coffee so strong 3.4 scoops in small coffee....

Went for breakfast with my daughter-in-law and 3 year old grandson no bacon sarnies left only 10.00 had toasties instead got a cake each and coffee and a smoothie just cut my cake into 4 pieces and there was a long black hair in my cake took it back to the counter told the girl she couldn’t believe it but never got a replaced or a freebie just apologised will not be going back I find it not very clean most of the times I’ve been.

Call in here occasionally they do nice toasties.

A very good example of a Costa - staff were very friendly and helpful & the coffee was exactly as I ordered. The venue was clean & it was easy to get parking too

Still trying to understand how a bread roll can be soft if it’s toasted. Ask for bacon or sausage to be well cooked bread is always toasted and rock hard, not as advertised at all but keeps on happening

I was really disappointed with my order as I am Coeliac and cannot eat food containing gluten. I ordered my partner the tiffin and a toasties which of course are containing gluten which is fine. For myself I ordered just a coffee and a gluten free brownie. These are ALWAYS packaged individually to ensure no cross contamination. What arrived was not gluten free and instead was a regular caramel brownie which I could not eat.

Love popping into a Costa always a friendly atmosphere and the staff are very helpful and make you welcome , the food is always fresh and tasty . A welcome stop off to take a break when shopping.

Absolutely raging ordered 2 paninis and a raspberry and almond bake and all you sent was a raspberry and almond bake??? Nearly £18 for that!!! Phone number does take calls what a joke

Cheese and ham toasties are inedible stone cold and the bread is rock hard. 1 hour 40 minutes to deliver 2 cheese and ham toasties.

Everyone really enjoyed their food.

Had the Brie bacon and cranberry panini and really enjoyed it. Would definitely order again. Delivery was so quick everything was there and still. Warm. Lovely thank you

Coffee is always good and good deals are available through the app. It's quite a busy outlet and they do struggle keeping on top of wiping the tables down

wasent happy the bacon roll was hard all around the edge the bacon was too crispy and wouldn't say it was hot and the white chocolate drink i got was luke warm the only thing that was okay was the wrap and even that wasn't up to scratch i use yous quite often but i am disappointed in my purchase with yous today

Order notes weren’t followed so couldn’t eat panini. Delivery times kept changing and took longer than expected.

Not been here for over 2 years. Coffee is good, cakes are nice but the place is dirty and worn. Today was full of families with young kids and was loud. Starbucks next time.

Had the best toasties I've ever had. Lovely bread. Very nice proper salad and creamy coleslaw. Would definitely recommend and go back. Had to hold myself back from cake..on a diet. Still nearly wavered on the way out....

Clean, efficient and friendly staff. Great meeting point close to major road networks, short drive to A1 and Durham City.

If it states on the website that it should be open until 6pm, I expect the doors to be unlocked. I expect better from a company like this. Cheers, sons crying.

Very disappointed. Went to meet family for coffee and closed. Only open for drive through so ended up sitting in cars. Not what we had planned.

Great if it was ever open - 9 times out of 10 only the drive through is open. Crazy when Starbucks is 50m away.

Stopped by to kill some time before an appointment, 925 am went to open the door & it was locked I wanted to sit in & have a coffee & teacake, didn’t want drive thru. Very disappointed !!

Another Costa Coffee marked off the list. As usual very polite staff and a very clean place. Easy access from the main roads. Easy check in using the Costa app for covid track and trace.

We are advocates for Costa and rate their coffee the best. However, Costa Durham had not only filthy toilets and drab interior but you felt unwelcome as a customer from the start. Perhaps it’s not the staffs problem but the training. The way you are treated ‘because of the covid rules’ is so headmistress like and abrupt ...not like other places where the welcome is so much more friendly and they put you at ease. Such a shame as coffee is as always excellent. Could do with a facelift your competition locally are doing a much better friendlier job. Do some mystery shopping and see. Costa toastier also excellent & good value
