The best restaurants serving British food in Kingston upon Thames London

We had a lovely time at lunch at Warren House Hotel on Christmas Day. It was all very well organised and the food and service were great. It was nice to have some entertainment, and the gifts brought by Father Christmas at the end were a very nice touch, - especially going to the trouble of putting our names on the labels :-). Having a photo taken and put in a card for us to keep was also a nice thought. Thank you to Surendar for all his help with making our preferred arrangements. We also congratulate the chef for awareness and inclusion of vegetarian cheeses (ie, not made with animal rennet) - it seems so many places these days are focused on vegan cheese that the complexities of vegetarian cheese are being missed. George thoroughly enjoyed his cheese board of veggie cheeses.

This is the most disgustingly expensive cafe in the area. A group of us (12/15 ladies) have been going here for a number of years. It used to be good. Our last time there two of us had quiche & chips. My friend’s wasn’t cooked and was blue inside? When mine eventually came it was rock hard I couldn’t put my fork into it. It was also the smallest piece of quiche I have ever seen For £13.00 it was a lot of money for a plate of chips! We complained, and was offered a free piece of cake???? Refused! I asked for a refund Eventually we were offered £6.89. Still a lot of mine for chips.

Food excellent and great service too

Great to drop in after shopping. Always a warm welcome, acknowledgement and recognition, know our fave Rose wine too! We've known the Albert since 1981, love the new look, soulfully curated music, and restored parking. Kierans friendly, well coordinated team starring Katie and Ken. Cheers!

Amazing atmosphere & quality selection of beers, wines and spirits!

I called in for a brunch meeting. I ordered coffee and avocado with feta on toast. Now had I taken the description literally then that’s maybe all I had expected. No chili, no seasoning, no butter, no garnish. Nada. If I had handed a £1 of ingredients to a 6 year old this is what I would have got. 2 dry pieces of toast, a mashed avocado and a teaspoon of feta. That’s it. Not a thing more. Lumped down with no finesse. All for £9.80. Nice work and margin Ex Celler. Total rip off.

Beer was shocking very flat and tasted funny, place is very quiet for a Saturday is a shame as it use to be good when it was a hungry horse.

The food was awful came out cold was about 6 chips with each meal my husbands curry was frozen in parts Our childs meal was terrible do not eat here a tesco meal deal is better

A shambolic cafe. Made to wait 45 mins for 2 simple breakfasts and 2 soft drinks, at a cost of almost £30 may I add. Owner/manager (old middle Eastern woman) incredibly rude to both staff and customers. She snapped at me when I asked where my drink was. And constantly shouting and micromanaging her staff. Staff also argue between themselves. The place always seems critically understaffed. Food was poor, egg overcooked and practically an omelette when it was served. But what do you expect when I saw it in the hot hold for 20 mins plus. Been here a few times now and nothing seems to change, which is such a shame because a few years ago they used to be so good. Will be the last time I visit. AVOID.

Poor customer service. Miserable staff. Left waiting no acknowledgement that I was even there. Left without getting anything. Just go elsewhere

I rated it to 6 years ago the standards are gone down try the curry club you expect them to be really nice or at least reasonable dry chewy chicken in a more of a paste sauce then a decent source with tender meat as it should have been

We stopped for coffee and, although a lot of tables were reserved, had a good table. Ordering coffee and a sandwich the service was very quick and the staff friendly. I sat thinking that's all you need, a nice place to sit, clean tables, and a good service. The cost of the coffee and food was average for the area, coffee was good and the sandwich was excellent. I would definitely come again if shopping in John Lewis.

Delicious food and great service. Second time here for food, this time for lunch. Atmosphere was very welcoming and the staff were so helpful and lovely. We arrived at about 2/3pm, so it wasn't too crowded but still had a mix of families and groups of friends about. I had the Korean tofu salad which was delicious and bf seems to enjoy his steak and ale pie. Decent choice of drinks and I would come here again to try out the roasts (another table ordered it and it looks great, it also looks like great value)

Went with family members. Very friendly staff, great beer, sport on TV, good buzz [even early doors]. They booked good table for us. Were made very welcome. Food looked good, but had to leave early.

Nice fresh buns and bread, A good selection of sandwiches were on sale together with hot pies. it was fairly priced but service was abrasive and not welcoming. Off street parking is available
