Staff were so lovely. There was a mix up with the price of our drinks ans they were super nice. Especially the brunette with eyeliner who helped with some change, didn't catch her name. Caught Bella's name and she was super helpful too.

Leilah and Dom were amazing, great service and wonderful personalities, will definitely be returning!

One of the best services I had for a while, the lady went above and beyond to serve us, the kitchen was closing 6 o’clock and we managed to get served. Friendly staff, great food, awesome vibe

Had good food, good drinks and a good atmosphere.

The waiter got the order wrong for both our meals. My friend ate 15 minutes after my food arrived due to mix up. Gravey was like water, but it did help warm the meal up, most of which was just slightly warm. No apology given, still included a service charge, and not even offered a free drink for the mix up. Will not be returning.

Always a lovely place to visit. Clean and calm-inducing atmosphere. I didn't eat any food as such I am not able to comment. Would recommend any day.

Cracking quiz night at The Ram, a pub I hadn’t been to for a few years. The food was delicious and a special thank you to Mariana for her brilliant service with a smile. To make things even better we won the quiz and will definitely be coming back to spend our winnings!

Great riverside pub with good character. The food was excellent and service top notch. Mariana was especially stand out. There is work going on next to the outside section of the pub which didn't detract from the atmosphere.

Very poor Sunday Roast today. Everything overcooked or dry, despite it being early in the day. No flavour at all. Very questionable orange gravy with tomato or paprika or something? Yorkshire puddings crunchy like crackers. Meat dry and chewy. Veg sloppy and overcooked. Thanks for one complimentary drink after we sent back more than half our food but overall not worth the £50 we spent.

As a discerning beer drinker the beer list was exceedingly dull and the prices were comparable to central London . It's a small establishment that lacks character and comes across as being somewhat pretentious. There are far better places to drink in the area

Nice & cozy pub with a couple of lovely leather armchairs in front of a fire in winter and a beer garden more suited to warmer weather.. nice staff & a good cider on tap.

I spent 4 weeks in Kingston on business and visited The Ram for lunch almost every day. It’s a fantastic place, just off the town centre, on the river, with great selection of beers and a lovely fire. The staff were exceptionally friendly - my thanks to Anna, Ella, George, Alyssa and Sasha! - and the food is very good. Highly recommended. One of the, if not the, best pubs in Kingston

I went to The Ram every day for 4 weeks whilst on business in Kingston. The amazing - I have to shout out Anna, George, Ella and Alyssa for their work and friendliness. This is a really lovely pub next to the river - nice in the summer - but equally has a fire which was more appropriate during my stay here. The food is great, brilliant selection of beers, and the staff are extremely welcoming. Check it out. Very close to to town centre but off the beaten track, lovely place.

Mariana and Maddie were so busy but gave the best service I have had in a pub in years. All of the colleagues at the Ram are fantastic and that's why it is now my favourite venue in Kingston. Excellent.

Saturday evening, approx 10 to 7; lucky to walk in & find a dining table free instantly, despite 2 large tables reserved for a party. This is a lovely pub - nicely decked out! Very friendly service, good prices &, more importantly, most excellent food! We shared the aromatic mushroom on crumpet starter, & both chose the monkfish & prawn curry, with a shared butter sweetheart cabbage accompaniment - all absolutely delicious; curry not too hot, & perfectly sized portions. Particularly excellent for me was to find dishes made without dairy milk but not having to choose the vegan option. We didn't notice any dessert menu but with the wonderful taste of the curry, & the memory of the sauce the mushrooms in the starter was cooked in, both lingering on our tastebuds, we didn't want anything else. Anna was such a lovely attentive host with the food & at the bar, + allowing me an extra slug of elderflower cordial when I confessed to liking it strong. I had chosen this pub for food based on an online menu I'd seen, & although a particular interesting dish was no longer on the menu, this didn't matter a bit as the choices were fine, & it's good to know that the menu is updated for variety. We're thinking of coming back again for the Christmas menu, & neither of us live in the vicinity (we were in Kingston for the theatre, from way north of the river). Definitely worth travelling for, & Kingston upon Thames is lovely to walk around anyway. *Edit: We did return for Xmas dinner & it was fab. Seems Google won't let me write another review, but I've detailed the excellent experience on Trip Advisor.

My only criticisms were really out of the control of the restaurant staff. One was the very high background noise level, but it was the Friday before Xmas! The other revolved around the lack of Xmas menu choice for vegans, especially in the desserts section, where the only vegan option contained peanuts, the most well-known food allergen! The kitchen was restricted by the chain owners' set menu. Greene King take note!

Excellent Xmas dinner Friday 20th December, group of 4. Pre-booked food choices. The pub had a really festive feel with lots of customers in a good mood, the booked tables ready with a glittering runner & Xmas crackers - quality ones with nice little wooden & paper novelties & no nasty plastic toys inside. The staff we interacted with were superb. They were all really relaxed, friendly, & went out of their way to ensure we were well attended to, & they didn't rush us despite 3 of us being a bit late for our booking. Anna, the bar manager, & George deserve particular mention. They really take pride in their work & genuinely want everyone to have a good experience. + The chef & kitchen staff did a fabulous job too. The starter & main course menus had really good options & our dishes were delicious. There were good enough vegan options if required. I need lactose free food, & the roasted cauliflower soup followed by the haunch of venison with potatoes 'Pommes Anna' & Cavelero Nero was perfect for me. The venison was really succulent, very lean, & tasted amazing. I've only eaten this meat once before & I hadn't been that impressed but having experienced The Ram's excellent food previously, I'd thought, if any kitchen was going to source good quality cuts then this one would, & it didn't disappoint. 1 friend chose the duck rillette followed by the venison, & the other 2 chose the smoked trout followed by the traditional turkey dinner. Everyone really enjoyed their choices. My only criticism was in the choice of desserts - all down to the overseeing brewery, Greene King. I had already discussed lactose-free menu options by email & on the phone with Anna, & had pointed out that the desserts were very dairy heavy - 3 options with a milk based accompaniment & no coconut or soya alternative offered nor could be made available on request, + the cheese board - obviously also all dairy. There was only 1 vegan option - a chocolate & caramel based dessert that contained peanuts, to which I'm not allergic but I dislike the smell & taste. I understand that such a kitchen is very busy & can't accommodate every personal requirement but I do get a bit wearisome of the corporate lack of acknowledgement of lactose intolerance which is a lot more common than many may realise. The standard allergen info for pub/restaurant food here doesn't help as it classifies even low lactose foods such as butter & Cheddar cheese as milk based - butter is fine for a lacto-free diet as no lactose remains & it's really all fat. +Many people are vegan these days & there wasn't even a healthy fruit salad or compôte as an option. We had agreed earlier however that the best thing for me was to have the Xmas pudding but bring my own vegan custard - that Anna agreed to heat up to serve instead of the dairy based brandy sauce. That was really very kind of her indeed! She didn't need to put herself out to do that but she did with no hesitation to agree to it. The portions were all just the right size - not too much, considering it was a 3 course meal. All in all, it was a really nice dining experience. We'll no doubt be back at some point even though it means a bit of a journey from north London. It's worth it.

Popped in for a Christmas drink with the family. Lovely cosy atmosphere, roaring fire, warm and lively, had a mulled wine at the bar, served by a very polite young man George who was busy but still made time to be friendly!

We went to the Ram for some Christmas drinks and we couldn't have chosen a better place. The communication was great when agreeing on details and menu options with the general manager Anna. On the day we were greeted by Mariana that looked after us all evening. The atmosphere was lively but not too loud. It was the best costumer service we had in years. Thank you to all the team. We will definitely be coming back.

The Sunday roast lamb was really poor and the crumble was appalling. The place has gone down the pan since my glowing review here two years ago. I don't mind paying high prices for quality food but £23.50 for the roast lamb was a joke.

Very busy- even at 5pm. Great menu and good food. Only thing was the Monkfish and prawn curry had very little fish in it and the advertised crispy samphire did not arrive. After mentioning the waitress did not charge for this main - so was very reasonable.

Go for the location and a drink, skip the food. I'm a regular. I used to be even more of a regular before they got rid of the quiz on a Sunday (it never came back after Covid). There is a very large selection of (very expensive) beers. The staff a decent, although the long waits at the bar can become tiresome. The food is super-mid and overpriced. Give it a skip. The inside is semi-traditional (yes, this was gutted a while back to look like a gastro pub), with large tables that can cater to large groups. There is regularly live music and a good vibe (the bouncers on a Saturday make sure of it). Where it shines (no pun intended) is outside. The location is a 10/10 especially in the summer - warning when the sun is out, those long waits at the bar quadruple in time. After eating somewhere else, grab yourself a beer and go outside!

Eight of us (plus dog!) had a great Sunday lunch at the Ram. They have a good/wide selection of beers; the food was very good (I would highly recommend the beef roast , tho all roasts were good and the double burgers were very popular at our table!) and most importantly all the Ram team were friendly and helpful, creating a good relaxed Sunday vibe. Popped in after dropping my son off to a nearby college. Amazing fish and chips and a great selection of beers. Friendly and efficient service. Garden looked like it would get packed in summer but was quiet on a drab October afternoon. Great location by the river though, would thoroughly recommend a visit.

What a contrast to the boaters. Exceptional service. We felt like vip’s. It is Kingston central so lively noisy and full of life but the food is delicious, higher standard than you would expect for a regular pup. Highly reccomend Ed.

Wonderful location, nice atmosphere and super food. Impressive range of beers and the sticky beef cheek flatbread with wasabi mayo was delicious 😋. The staff were exceptional, especially, Isabel who was very charming and extremely attentive.

Top class Service ,, I am a regular customer and Always the manager Anna makes sure I am served well .. I also witnessed her comforting other customer and making dure sure the pub and the garden very well cleaned..I can not fault . Recommended

Little pub in the middle of Kingston, my boyfriend and I both had the burger, very tasty and juicy. Service on point too!
