Estábamos emocionados de ir a casa de Sally Clarke ya que habíamos oído cosas tan buenas. Nos recibieron en la puerta donde les expliqué quién era y que estábamos aquí por el cumpleaños de mi esposa. Nos llevaron a nuestra mesa y el camarero simplemente puso los menús delante de nosotros. No feliz cumpleaños o reconocimiento entonces o durante toda la noche. Habíamos mirado el menú en línea, pero encontramos que el menú de la noche no tenía dos de los elementos que queríamos tener. Nuestros entrantes eran bastante agradables, nuestros platos principales de lenguado y ciervo eran excelentes, pero nuestros postres eran bastante decepcionantes. La factura final era al norte de £ 200 - muy caro para nuestras comidas y un par de copas de vino. El servicio era lento e impersonal.

Hice un paseo a propósito, de casi veinte minutos, para visitar Jumo, emocionado por su encanto y lo que pensé que sería una gran hora de café, esbozando ideas y disfrutando de mi última mañana en Londres. En cambio, al entrar, me recibió una mirada reacia del caballero detrás de la caja registradora que desencadenó una experiencia desagradable que podría estar a punto de comenzar. Respondí con cortesía y pedí un Americano y me fui a sentar entre tres abiertos dos superiores. Rápidamente se acercó y me pidió que me moviera para que cuatro personas pudieran sentarse juntas... en el café que estaba medio vacío. Cumplí sin discusión. Tomando un sorbo de mi Americano, me acomodé y saqué mi 10. iPad de 5” para caer felizmente en mi imaginación y bosquejar ideas cuando inmediatamente vino por segunda vez. “No hay portátiles los fines de semana”, anunció con débil alegría en su sonrisa. Le recordé que no era una computadora portátil y noté teléfonos grandes encima de cada mesa ocupada. Él respondió: “No tenemos espacio para escribir cada tipo de dispositivo que prohibimos en el letrero”. Sin embargo, había mucho espacio para decir “portátiles o tabletas”, pero no lo hizo. Sus acciones y comportamiento se sintieron inequívocamente dirigidos a acosarme a mí, la persona negra singular, o persona de color, en el café. Tuvo éxito. Fue una bofetada de barro sucio en toda mi mañana lo que me llevó a pasar tiempo redactando esto en lugar de crear un nuevo personaje increíble o un mundo lleno de maravillas para que mis lectores lo exploraran. Pero tal vez compartir esta experiencia era su objetivo, así que corrí la voz. Terminé mi café y me fui, arropado a dos cuadras de distancia en Montparnasse Café, donde una niña pequeña jugó en su iPad con su mamá y papá entre un conjunto de mesas casi completamente lleno, mientras llenaba dos páginas con grandes ideas en mi propio iPad. Su personal no entregó más que sonrisas cálidas y delicioso té.

6* Absolutely amazing restaurant located in Kensington. Came here a couple of times previously and unfortunately they were fully booked, tried our luck again and thankfully they were able to squeeze us in.(BE WARNED- if you haven't booked you'll be lucky to get in, definitely so at peak times). The menu looked great, rustic English fare.We went for stilton mousse and cheese and leek tart for starters followed by rump of lamb and fish pie. The food was faultless. Every dish tasted gorgeous. The wine (just went for Malbec and Chablis by the glass) was very nice too. The service was friendly, attentive and helpful. The atmosphere was warm, cosy and romantic with a very rural theme. Prices were reasonable considering the quality of the food and the location of the restaurant. Overall we had a great time and I'm so glad we were able to get a table. We'd both like to go again, soon. My thanks to the gentlemen on the door, they were very busy so I didn't get chance to get his name (owner,manager,maitre d, greeter?) But he was amazing and a real credit to the restaurant. I'd highly recommend this restaurant.

We went to The Old Swan our first night in London. The food was delicious and their Notting Hill Lager was one of the best lagers I’ve had! Their steak and ale pie is worth the trip. It exactly what we needed after a long day of travel. If you’re in the area and want some good food and a charming atmosphere this is your spot!

Absolutely loved the experience! The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure we were comfortable throughout our visit. The ambiance was cozy and welcoming, perfect for both casual and special occasions. Highly recommend trying their signature dishes — they’re a treat! Will definitely be coming back again.

Although I have been living in Kensington for a while, last Saturday was my first visit to the Orangery Restaurant. I ordered a chocolate fondant that melted in my mouth; it was incredibly delicious, and the presentation on the plate was stunning. A friendly Brazilian waitress served me, which made the experience even better. I will definitely return to try more dishes from the menu, as everything looked fantastic.

The food was pretty good, nothing exceptional. But it was by no means bad, it was decent I'd probably go back. Got the fish n chips, Steak Pie, and Breaded chicken dish. The Fish n' chips were good 4/5 great crisp and fries were think, the batter was a bit bland but not bad. The Steak pie was decent but not so flavorful. The Chicken was bland 2/5, it didn't taste bad, but it definitely needed more to it, we used some of the Steak pie sauce to pour over it which made it alot better, but alone it was pretty tasteless. It's a very cute bar and we really loved the esthetic.

Visited this place alongwith family and lived the place. We ordered for Victorian sponge cakes, black coffee and Vegan Oat cookies. Believe me, the sponge cake was splendid and had never tasted such beautiful sponge cake before. A must visit place for food lovers

Vine aquí para comprar algo de comida para la familia hoy. Entró y el tipo que estaba atendiendo estaba en su teléfono móvil. Esperé unos minutos mientras hablaba por teléfono antes de que me atendieran. No me disculpo por estar al teléfono.Pedí un BMT italiano de un pie de largo y una pechuga de pollo de 6 ”. Cuando los sándwiches salieron de la tostadora, los dejó allí mientras le preguntaba a la siguiente persona qué quería.En cuanto a las coberturas, era tan tacaño, 4 jalape os y 3 encurtidos. Pedí un poco más. Incluso tacaños con la lechuga a pesar de pedir un poco más.Llegué a casa para comer, mi compañero abrió la suya y encontró literalmente 2-3 piezas de lechuga en el sándwich. Muy poca salsa y el pan estaba seco. Realmente decepcionó a la familia tbh, pensé que si no tenían muchos clientes al menos, ¡sería mejor! No volveré a este metro.
