Although I have been living in Kensington for a while, last Saturday was my first visit to the Orangery Restaurant. I ordered a chocolate fondant that melted in my mouth; it was incredibly delicious, and the presentation on the plate was stunning. A friendly Brazilian waitress served me, which made the experience even better. I will definitely return to try more dishes from the menu, as everything looked fantastic.

She was friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming – striking the perfect balance between professionalism and warmth. Her thoughtful recommendations and cheerful demeanor added a personal touch to our visit. Thank you for making our time there so memorable!

A great place to try afternoon tea. I ordered it to be all halal and enjoyed the atmosphere and place. An experience worth repeating. I recommend visiting it.

Must confess: I have not been to and heard of this establishment before but I must say I did like the atmosphere inside the Orangery restaurant and more importantly, I really like the surrounding around of the Kensington Park Gardens and its initial scenery.

Wonderful view, in Kensington Gardens. We had scones and an Apple Tart Tatin, both delicious. Eliana service has been exceptional; she has been extremely attentive, caring and calm. The Orangery is lucky to have her as part of their team! Highly recommend ☺️

I went for a walk in the park and decided to have breakfast at The Orangery at Kensington Palace — and it was absolutely incredible! The atmosphere was delightful, the music was perfect, and the service was impeccable, especially thanks to Eliana, a lovely Brazilian staff member. The food was delicious! I highly recommend it and will definitely be coming back.

A must do breakfast experience!

Went with 3 kids and 4 adults. It was just nice enough for the adults to enjoy and just casual/loud enough for our 4, 6, and 9 year olds to have fun too ;) Went on a Saturday afternoon for high tea- was extremely busy and service was a teensy slow but overall we had a great time and food was good without being anything special.

Our server the lovely, Eliana was amazing. She was attentive, kind, provided us with great service and even photos we are willing to post (lol). The atmosphere was so pretty, the tea and food were delicious. We really enjoyed our time here.

BEWARE: only go here if you’re planning to order food, they will not seat you for drinks. And they are not friendly or helpful when telling you. And there is no mention of this anywhere that they only seat for food, especially for the outdoor setting. Disappointing as there are no other places nearby for tea/coffee in the park or gardens. Also as the cafe at Kensington Palace is closed for refurbishment, there is now no other option for anywhere in the palace gardens to sit for a drink. Also they are pricey due to their setting in the palace gardens.

On our last day in London, we chose Kensington Palace as our final stop to enjoy our remaining hours in the city. Thankfully, the weather was perfect and the view of Kensington's garden from orangery was amazing. We had a wonderful time savoring our breakfast, tea and a cocktail at the palace. Chris, the tea sommelier, kindly asked about our preferences and told him to select a tea for us, as we are amateurs when it comes to English tea. We asked Denis for a gin-based cocktail, and his recommendation was excellent as well. Looking forward to my next visit to London.

I went to The Orangery on 1st March with a dear friend and it was a very pleasant experience! The hostess Nessa was very kind and took us to our lovely table by the window. We’ve been served by Eliana who was very attentive and recommended us all the best picks to have the best experience. Highly recommend and will definitely go back!

Probably the most beautiful place in London to have Tea Time We came to the Orangery a long time ago, before lengthy renovations prevented us from returning there in recent years. Finally reopened, this tea room is a sublime place to enjoy a special moment. A little expensive, sure, but worth it. If a full afternoon tea doesn't tempt you or is too expensive, don't hesitate to ask for the Cream Tea, which doesn't appear on the menu, and allows you to have scones and tea. The service is impeccable. In good weather, the terrace is as charming as the indoor room.

We had Sunday Roast here and it was delicious. We sat outside, the weather was lovely, the view of the garden & palace perfect, and the wonderful Eliana made our afternoon simply great! Even Pixel our little dog had a good time. Thank you!

This place is something special! I went there in a great weather and was sitting outside enjoying apple toffee pie with tea. I went with my friend to the afternoon tea and it was an unique experience. We reserved a table in front of the window with a view of the garden, perfect. I would like to thank the hostess Nessa who welcomed us and also the dear and attentive waitress Eliana who served us. She recommended the teas to drink and explained to us the whole experience. A restaurant inside Hyde Park requires advance reservation. They have breakfast until 11 o’clock and then until 5 o’clock, which is afternoon time. The food is delicious and the prices are high, but the place is worth a visit.

It's crazy, it opens the soul. I came in February in the middle of winter. It was raining. I tried their pancakes, omelettes, and macchiatos. It's beautiful and worth a try. It's best to make a reservation if it's crowded.

We enjoyed our afternoon tea for two here recently. I found the staff generally excellent and professional. We both enjoyed our tea but found a few of the sandwiches and pastries to be mediocre. The room itself feels very elegant and I appreciated the music selections. We booked a reservation at 11:00am and it was fairly quiet but by noon it was extremely busy. Clientele seemed overwhelmingly tourist. Not the best I’ve had nor a particularly good value but I enjoyed my visit and would probably return.

We really liked it: after the renovation, everything shines in a new, friendly shine. Very friendly staff, delicious afternoon tea with a beautiful view.

We had “the orangery afternoon tea” and it was a great experience. My girlfriend and I shared the food from 1 etagaire. This was enough for us and I am a big eater. The service was really fantastic, super friendly and helpful employees. The tea is unlimited and the tea master recommended a tea for each floor of the floor. We were even allowed to make our own tea. All in all a very nice experience in a very beautiful place. I definitely recommend it.

Fabulous afternoon tea experience. Make a booking ahead of time to reserve a table. We had three allergies, gluten, dairy, and soya and they were able to accommodate our needs. The gluten free bread and scones were delicious! Chris from Greece was a great host and such a delight to chat with. He made the experience so delightful. We also had a server (we didn’t get his name but we were there on Friday at 1pm sitting near the door to the toilets) that we loved! Highlight of our trip! And the building was beautiful from the inside and outside.

The best thing about this place is how nice and amazing it is! We came for breakfast, but unfortunately, it closes at 11:30 AM, and lunch starts at 12:00 PM. Since we arrived right at 11:30 AM, we had to try the afternoon tea instead. It was nice and quite delicious, and the staff was friendly, which made the experience enjoyable.

I've often walked past this place in Hyde Park, and one sunny winter day I finally decided to give it a go and I'm glad I did! From start to finish the service was impeccable, personable, and attentive. We were made to feel like patrons, and this was certainly down to our Brazilian waitress, who was warm and friendly, but not overbearing. Her recommendations were spot on, the pan roasted seabass was fresh and cooked to perfection, and the rich dark chocolate fondant was divne. This place is a hidden little gem in a beautiful, historic, and recently refurbished building, very central but away from the hustle and bustle. I will definitely be returning for their afternoon tea.

I went because I had such fond memories of going there almost 9 years ago, but the scones, cakes, and tea are all better than other local cafes!! The plate was very pretty before, but this time it was really simple and didn't look special. If you add the service charge, it will cost about 120 pounds, but there is no benefit to paying that much! I think it would be better to enjoy the park and go to another local cafe!

My daughter and I had afternoon tea here and had a wonderful time! It is pricey but not as much as other teas in London. The ambiance is so chic and relaxing. The service was very prompt and professional! We enjoyed the finger sandwiches but didn’t eat the salmon as it was a bit fishy tasting. The scones were the best I’ve ever had and the desserts were delicious! We just didn’t have room to finish them. My daughter has a cappuccino and loved and I was given a pot of English breakfast tea and it was delicious! It’s a fun experience and I highly recommend it! ***Note: the UK has started a discretionary service fee that is automatically added to the bill. It was 14£ and I paid it but afterwards I went online and found out you can have it removed from the bill. I don’t mind tipping but I prefer it be my decision and an amount of my choosing.

This past weekend, I had the pleasure of dining at The Orangery Restaurant and I can confidently say it was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a while. From the moment I walked in, the warm and inviting ambiance set the tone for the noon (lunch time). The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, ensuring that every detail of the meal was perfect, specially the waitress Eliana. The star of the day, however, was the main course Palace Pie (Lamb) and also the dessert (Apple Tart). The flavors were perfectly balanced. The presentation was stunning—a true work of art on a plate. If you’re looking for a place to enjoy incredible food with impeccable service, this should be at the top of your list. I’m already planning my next visit!

The 3 stars were for the food only, but the treatment was bad from the weak employee at the reception who was racist. She got angry because we changed the table and called the manager, but thank God the strong manager was very kind and cooperative. The food was normal and the tea was good. May God continue to bless you. After all, the tea was not sweet.

After spending a couple hours at Kensington Palace, we had a nice 3-course lunch here. The food was nice, the portions are generous and the ambiance was special. The place was packed, but they sat us without a reservation. We noticed that we were the only ones having lunch in our area of the dining room -all of the other tables were there for afternoon tea, which looked lovely.

Unfortunately we had a really bad service in The Orangery today. The service was not good at all, we have ordered 3 Benedict but they only deliver 2 and when we asked for the third they said that they cannot do it. At the end they charged us for the 3. Also whenever we order anything they takes too long to deliver it.

The food is lovely and it is open from 10 to 11:30 for breakfast The breakfast menu is beautiful and they made sure it was without pork - the tea is nice and each person has a small jug - you can add a slice of toast if you want

There were three of us for light lunch. The pots of tea were highlight for me. Two of us had a curried cauliflower soup which had no flavour whatsoever and the consistency of chicken stock with a little cream added. My husband had ravioli in a sauce tasting like proceeded cheese. Crockery worn and chipped. Surprising since newly opened. Maybe all the effort goes in the high tea because the menu items were poor. Lovely room and excellent staff

The service is bad and the place is not good. If you are a group, you are required to have an afternoon tea per person, and its price is 60 pounds, not including drinks orders. Their treatment of the Arabs is bad and they want to take advantage of them. Bad service and the restaurant management are thieves, especially with tourists, they raise prices on them.

Bad service, scammers, and the manager has a rude attitude and forces us to make expensive requests or tells you not to stay

Save your money and run. I do not believe I have ever had such bad service or food in one place. The Afternoon Tea offerings were stale and mass produced. They were not flavorful or even artfully arranged. Our waiter was perhaps the rudest person I have encountered in a long time. He forgot our drinks, never offered tea and after we had asked for our check a number of times came over and abruptly told us that they were closing and we needed to pay 350.00 British Pounds for terrible food and service. I am mortified I subjected my mom to that distasteful afternoon.

A very elegant place in a palace inside Hyde Park.. Nice for eating afternoon tea.. Indoor and outdoor seating.. Reservations are required from the website.. Food is average.. In the heat, it is not good at all times.

My new favorite in London to have a breakfast. It has large windows allow you to see the Kensington Palace view and the gardens. So spacious with high ceilings and impressive with Baroque style building.

My mum and I just visited London for a few days and we had our first ever high tea here. We ordered one serving of The Orangery Afternoon Tea (55£), which we shared between the two of us, and my mother also got a prosecco (12£). Everything was plated and prepared so beautifully, and it tasted absolutely amazing! I especially loved the English cucumber cream cheese bridge roll, the Cornish clotted cream, the orange choux, and the chocolate croustillant. The atmosphere was just dreamy, and the service was so friendly and helpful. They were also able to accommodate my mother’s garlic intolerance, which was greatly appreciated. The experience was truly exceptional, and I would recommend it to anyone!

We went for tea not worth the money So disappointed. The tea was the best part of the entire process. Not very attentive food is just so so the dessert NOT GOOd the scones were good the cucumber sandwich was good the service sucked. Spend the extra money and go elsewhere the atmosphere is just mediocre.

The place is wonderful and imaginative, especially during the rain, and the service is very excellent. I visited it for the afternoon tea, and the food is very ordinary. I give it good in something that I felt was not fresh, and the price was very high for my order, which was one afternoon tea and the second for children’s afternoon tea. I liked that they have a halal afternoon tea.
