Food looked good but quite frankly was tasteless. I chose the chicken ceasar salad. Bland and the two side salads of chickpeas and potato salad were so tasteless that I didn't bother finishing my meal.

I have been coming to this pub for over 20 years with my family and back in the day with grandparents who first visited this establishment in the 1950s and always shared their fond memories. Unfortunately, on todays visit the quality of food and service was abysmal considering their near perfect track record. Food was served cold and no cutlery given till it was requested multiple times. Chips half cooked. Mates of mine ordered drinks to the table that took ages to bring. I ordered a Bloody Mary at the bar and before completing my order the barman started serving other patrons as he did not have all the ingredients. I hope management takes note of this and brings this great pub back to its former glory.

The place is so gorgeous. It was the best Fish & Cheeps that I ever had in my life! Bartender Tushar recommended the best vine for the fish for my mom: cool &delicious. Kadeen is so attentive to our requirements. One of the most important things for me when I visit pubs is genuine smile on the stuff members face. I was enjoying every minute of my time with family in The Windsor Castle.

I went to this pub with a group of friends for the first time and stumbled upon a kind and down-to-earth bartender at the bar entrance, Tushar. I was very pleased with his proactive and helpful behaviour. He and all his colleagues working there were extremely helpful and kind, delivering exceptional customer service—except for one individual named Noora. I could not tolerate her behavior toward me and my friends. At first, she approached us and asked if we were okay and if we needed anything, which was fine. However, she then engaged in a conversation with us for 10-15 minutes, which was unnecessary. Firstly, she spoke very negatively about one of the workers there, Tushar. He seems like a genuine soul, very happy and active, and I am sure everyone, both colleagues and customers, agrees. Secondly, Noora wasn't just rambling about him negatively; she also displayed signs of racism and hatred towards him and other Asian workers there. She spoke condescendingly and belittled his work. I did not appreciate this at all and became very unhappy that a colleague would speak behind his back like this. Thirdly, Noora talked excessively about her background in law. While I understand that, it was not relevant to us, and we did not need to hear her entire life history. She also questioned us too much in the conversation and made us feel interrogated. If she wants to do that, she can do it in court; I'm sure her clients would be very satisfied. But overall, I think Noora is bringing a bad reputation to the pub and it does not look good at all. I honestly pity and feel bad for the workers facing and having to go through Noora's attitude and behaviour at the workplace.

Rahat and Tushar managed even in the busiest situation. Loved the service!!! Gonna come back soon

I decided to take my Wife to the Windsor Castle to celebrate her new promotion and was incredibly happy I chose this location. The food was delicious and my wife who can be a bit of a picky eater loved it all (in particular the Lemon Tart), the service was amazing we had this lovely young lady named Kadeen who looked after us really well and after we left my wife couldn't stop talking about how good the food and service was. Looking forward to our next visit and hoping the lovely Kadeen is there next time as well.

I recently visited Windsor Castle Pub and I must say, the experience was absolutely delightful. The food served at the pub was not only delicious but also exceeded my expectations. **A Disappointing Experience at The Windsor Castle** Our party of 11 recently visited The Windsor Arms for a Sunday Roast, hoping for a delightful meal in their small courtyard garden. Unfortunately, our experience was anything but delightful. To begin with, the beef was horrifically undercooked, so much so that a good vet could have probably revived the cow. It was also incredibly fatty, making it nearly inedible. Four of our party members ordered the beef, and most of it was left untouched. The chicken was okay, though slightly dry. However, the service was a different story altogether. The waiters managed to get our orders wrong, initially forgetting to bring the roast lamb, mistakes happen and when we pointed this out they did bring the roast lamb out but then charged us for two on the final bill! Mistakes yes but ineptitude as well? However, to be fair the person in our party who ordered the fish & chips commented their meal was really enjoyable and the desserts, whilst small were also good. Adding to the absurdity, we ordered two non-alcoholic cocktails (mocktails) for the children. These were basically fruit juice, but we were told by the waiter that "company policy" does not allow them to serve fruit juice to children. This policy is frankly ridiculous. While the pub itself is quite nice and located in a lovely area, the overall experience was marred by poor service and subpar food. Paying over £400, including a non-deductible service charge (according to the waiter) of £32, was particularly galling, especially since a bottle of water was accidentally knocked over onto one of our party by a staff member, and no replacement was offered. We have previously enjoyed visits to other pubs in this chain, but this experience at The Windsor Arms was so disappointing that we are unlikely to return to any of them again. Spending over £400 for such poor service and bad food is not a risk we are willing to take again. Extreme Caution Advised

Gorgeous, traditional and cozy pub - we came here after work for a catch-up for their food, garden and its discreet and quiet location. Staff who served us were lovely and our orders were out fairly quickly served by great customer service. Recommended.

The building has a historical feel, and the floors are slanted. However, it is very well maintained and comfortable. Fish and chips are very delicious. I want to try other things too. 2024.6 I came here for the Sunday roast on a Sunday afternoon. It was delicious. I reserved a seat on the terrace.

I have been to this place many times over the years and never disappoints. Fantastic characterful pub with snug cubicles and lots of nooks and crannies. Good intimate restaurant spaces and nice enclosed beer garden. Good pub food selection. Decent beer and wine selection. Staff always friendly and accommodating. Look forward to returning!

Amazing Sunday roast!..the pub is located in a nice and cozy area and the atmosphere is great!..food quality and service was great. If you’re looking for a special Sunday roast go to this place, also I recommend to book in advance, all tables where reserved at the time we went there and we booked the day before.

Craving a fun night with friends, we stumbled upon The Windsor Castle,and it did not disappoint! Stepping inside, the warm ambiance,instantly relaxed us. Our server, was fantastic - friendly, helpful, and always there when we needed them. The menu offered something for everyone, and as a pasta lover, the linguine was incredible! Perfectly cooked pasta with a delicious spice sauce left me wanting more. My friends echoed the sentiment with their meals, raving about the juicy burgers We enjoyed delicious food, drinks, and great conversation for hours. The pub's excellent beer selection and friendly bartender meant everyone found something to enjoy. Amazing food, the prawn and crab linguine was incredible, and the best pasta dish I’ve had in London since moving back from Italy where I lived for 3 years. The service was faultless and Abigail, Marcus, and Lachlan could not have done more. Incredible food and even better service

Lovely pub with a pleasant garden. Relatively quiet location and old wood-panelled interior meant it felt more like being in a countryside pub than a London one. £6.50 for a Pravha, £7.30 for Peroni.

This is a really cute and cozy pub, with intimate wood-panelled rooms and a large sunny patio. I just wish there was somewhere to lock my bike — there are zero bike racks or cycle stands anywhere on the block or across the street. 🙁 I’d love if the pub management could work with the council to request some cycle parking!

Absolutely fantastic boozer! Me, my wife and kids came into a busy Windsor Castle and loved the experience! The beers and food were incredible and the service from the manager James was fantastic! Thank you so much James! Our dog Lola loved it too! Will defo come again.

Great traditional pub with exceptional food, we had Sunday Roasts, Fish and of course Beer and fabulous Red and Rosé wine.

I came here last Saturday with my parents. We had a lovely time and were really looked after by the people behind the bar. James, who was the manager, was very attentive to my parents allergies and recommended them some great beers and gins. It is a spectacularly pretty pub too. We will be coming back!

Food and service are outstanding! We were looking for traditional pub food and this was an excellent place for it. We had the fish and chips, roasted beef and roasted chicken.

Lovely old pub, several old wood paneled sections. 4 ales on pump, including TTs Landlord. Friendly service. Didn't eat, so no comments on that. Mid afternoon visit, so quiet, but looks like should have good atmosphere later.

One of the many local pubs in my neighbourhood that it's a pleasure not to cook Sunday lunch! The service is efficient and friendly, the food is nicely presented, and it still is a great place to spend a Sunday afternoon with friends.

The Windsor Castle, a super pub on Camden Hill Road. A great pub if you are not too tall, there are gates dividing the pub, a great journey to get through. An excellent selection of both cask and keg beers served by excellent members of staff. a delightful place to visit and have beer/Food/ conversation.

Used to be our favourite pub. Now it seems new owners are in, poor front of house, poor service, stale chips which were kept warm. Sad.

Sensational cuisine, all dishes are freshly prepared and of the highest quality. Accordingly, the food isn't exactly cheap, but it's definitely worth the money. The pub itself is super cozy and has a normal London price level. The only drawback is that the pub is located on the first floor and can only be reached via stairs. These are rather unfavorable for people with walking difficulties.

I have visited this pub for years. Usually in the warmer months when the garden is open. Last night went for dinner to benefit from the offer of 1 course + 1 for free. What strikes me though is the total I paid: 1 starter £7 (literally a small bowl of 7-8 padron peppers), 1 burger and chips £18.50 (the other 1 was free), 1 pint Pravha £6.5, a glass of red wine £8.80 plus service charge. So 2 people with a free meal and one drink each £45 !!! And not to forget the cute little mice running around during all the time we were enjoying our affordable dinner....

I was just here the other day and the service was absolutely amazing, my server was Andrea and she is just the nicest person ever. I was having a hard time deciding on the menu and she explained everything perfectly and she got me in the mood for the scotch eggs and the cod with beans and chorizo and it didn't disappoint. Highly recommend the place and if you have the chance ask for Andrea to be your server!!

Place was lovely and the meal was tasty. We had been told they could only book us for 2 hours, which we said was ok, especially because we have two young children. The service started great (was prepaid), but they delayed the main course a lot, such that they brought us the meal 15 minutes before the time was up. We had to rush and ask to take the desserts home (not a thing they were prepared for). There was also some confusion about the dishes I had preorder. I ordered online from the options given but apparently I was not supposed to order that way, so I'm still unclear of what happened. I had preorder about a month ahead of time, so there was plenty of time for the restaurant to contact me with any questions instead of showing up with the dish to the table and tell us we made a mistake and we "didn't need that extra dish". I had to show them my emails with the prepaid amounts so they could properly do the bill - originally they wanted to charge me some extra money for things that coded incorrectly, but I'm glad I had saved those emails. This was no cheap meal as it was the Christmas Day Menu. I also saved my receipt and it shows we should have gotten 2 sourdough loafs but they only gave us one (this extra sourdough was supposed to be what I "should have ordered" instead of that other dish), but we never got it. There was no apology or even inclination to make it up to us in any way - we ended up ordering an extra soft drink and beer and they could have offered to take those off the bill as an apology, but no attempt was made. Overall food was good but would not recommend because of service.

I’ve eaten in the pub multiple times and really enjoyed the food, but unfortunately this time it was really disappointing. I appreciate it was Christmas Day but for the price I paid (£91 per person) I would have expected more. We were not greeted, no drinks order was taken, the food was not as advertised on the menu and the service was literally non existent. We had to call over the Spanish supervisor to take our empty plates which we had sat with for over 15 minutes and were met by very rude and defensive attitude - the manager tried to rectify the situation but as I had paid in full (including service) at the start of December there was nothing she could do. I also noticed that no other patrons had pre-paid. Not once was there an apology from the manager or supervisor- the supervisor in particular was inappropriate, I saw her talking to other members of staff about me, which created a very tense environment, not to mention highly unprofessional.

We love The Windsor Castle for its atmosphere and old English feel. We decided to have Christmas dinner here this year. On the whole the food was ok. The prawn cocktail starter was not great though. Pretty bland and not much dressing. The main was good although my wife was served beef wellington instead of the veggie wellington. We were offered a replacement but my wife did not want to waste a meal so ate it anyway. My traditional dinner was nice but quite small, no brussel sprouts and generally underwhelming. To be clear, we had a nice time but it certainly was not the best Christmas dinner that I’ve had and we have eaten out at any London pubs for Christmas. I would say that we were given a 20% discount for the mix up with the mains. Please note, my wife decided to eat the beef wellington as he pescatarianism is based on an environmental need to cut back on meat consumption not a moral stance. Still she has not eaten beef for 10ths or so until this meal. We still love the pub but the Christmas dinner was not worth the £200 or so we paid.

The pub is lovely inside but unfortunately we had a bad experience. I've tried to contact them twice since and haven't had a response so here we are. I ordered a medium glass of merlot. The server said they were out of merlot, so I just said whatever the house was - I'm not fussy. The server suggested one and brought it. It was fine, not my taste. My friend came and ordered the same as me. We had burgers, they were fine, service was quite slow but they let us stay longer than our booking time. When we got the bill, I saw that the two medium 'house' wines came to over £30. I was shocked and queried it and the server (different to the lady who initially served us) said 'yes we are out of house wine and only have the expensive wine left'. So without asking or telling us, we had been given extortionate wine instead of the house, which I would never have ordered. Bear in mind this was a Saturday evening so 'only having expensive wine' seems bizarre. We should have been warned and I would never have bought it, or the expensive wine should have been charged the house price as that was what I ordered. It's pretty disgusting and deceitful so I won't be returning and would encourage others to check what they are buying very carefully.

Lovely old pub. Interesting menu. Pricey wine list. We had oven baked cod. Tasty but far too many ratte potatoes bulking up the portion. Veg were pretty scarce! Fish a chips sadly fish was dry so maybe cooked early. Steak Pie was recommended by our waitress but was dull and veg looked overcooked my brownie with salted caramel was very good.. Very dark day so our party moved from main pub area for more light. Beautiful outside space for summer enjoyment. Will try again in better weather. Verdict: lovely reunion with friends. Menu looks good but results are underwhelming.

The roast beef was cooked to perfection and served in a right portion, with good accompaniments and nicely presented. My Bloody Mary was made to perfection (not too spicy, not too bland, as requested) and desserts (two British classics) were delicious. You have improved your cuisine. Service was prompt and attentive. I will come back soon.

Historic London pub, with ' class dividers' between rooms still in place (which were made to make you ' bow' when entering a higher class room) Lovely outdoor (covered) seating too with blankets and hot water bottles available! Good selection of drinks and food on offer.

Went for Sunday lunch and the restaurant was freezing. After inquiring about the heat we were told it doesn’t reach this part of the restaurant. Food was sub par. The sirloin roast came over cooked almost jerky like. They replaced it only after I insisted yet also acknowledged it looked over cooked when they brought it out. The service was decent.

I’m at a loss for words as to how there are so many good reviews. This was without question one of the most disappointing dining experiences I’ve had in a while. Once seated we are presented with a menu that has a (deceptive) air of sophistication. I decided to go with the calamari with saffron aioli and the wild boar sausages and mash with bordelaise sauce. I was not prepared for what was to come. The calamari arrived within minutes of me placing my order and it’s clear why. The poorly seasoned calamari had a soggy exterior and an unpleasant rubbery texture, they had previously been overcooked in overused oil till every last bit of joy was successfully eliminated, and quite clearly been reheated just prior to serving because who doesn’t enjoy really having to chew your food. The aioli had no garlic flavour, the key ingredient of aioli, and if they had used saffron it was undetectable. The sausages and mash arrived and initially it looked ok. However with the fist bite i was slapped by the bitterness of the bordelaise sauce, that hadn’t been reduced and lacked any flavour, followed by the stodgy mash that was seemingly made from a packet and clung to the roof of my mouth with the oleaginous insistence of dentist’s wax. The sausages had very clearly been reheated in a microwave, and had the texture of meat filled condoms. In fact we are convinced that all our food was heated up in a microwave. I wouldn’t let my dog eat here. The staff were all lovely however.

A menu that's a journey, and service that's the perfect travel companion.

Spent an afternoon there with friends spent a few hundred pounds. We were enjoying ourselves so later, we were told our table had been reserved and asked to move, ok. One of our party is disabled using sticks, clearly with mobility problems. A cab was called and were asked by management to vacate the space and to stand at the bar. I asked if we could wait where we were until the cab arrived, negative, move. Fortunately another customer offered us a seat, the cab arrived and we left. An attractive old fashioned historic pub, but when you scratch the surface, with modern values, money, money, money, just be aware don’t get seduced!
