Best and favourite pub in London! Booked some tables for my birthday here on a Saturday night and I can’t praise this place and all the staff enough. Great space (indoor and out), good food and lovely atmosphere. Thank you for looking after our group so well!!

The food was pretty good, nothing exceptional. But it was by no means bad, it was decent I'd probably go back. Got the fish n chips, Steak Pie, and Breaded chicken dish. The Fish n' chips were good 4/5 great crisp and fries were think, the batter was a bit bland but not bad. The Steak pie was decent but not so flavorful. The Chicken was bland 2/5, it didn't taste bad, but it definitely needed more to it, we used some of the Steak pie sauce to pour over it which made it alot better, but alone it was pretty tasteless. It's a very cute bar and we really loved the esthetic.

A truly stunning pub! The beautiful old wooden features create a warm and inviting atmosphere, making it the perfect spot for a cozy winter visit. In the summer, the charming outdoor area is just as appealing. We enjoyed a delicious sharing roast, which was cooked to perfection. I can’t wait to bring the rest of my family here soon!

Shahil was so attentive and very friendly

having lived in London for twenty years, this is one of my top 5 pubs, the one I take all visitors to -- absolutely love it. The food and service is wonderful, very homey and neighbour-hoody! we love to walk first in Kensington Gardens and then wend our way through Hillgate Village toward the Windsor. When we get there i order the Scotch Egg to start -- delicious! Here I am with a friend from NYC -- we had a wonderful walk in the sunshine and a delicious meal at the Windsor Castle!

We attended the Sunday Roast and it was amazing! Great food, very friendly service and the vibe is extraordinary!

Booked a table for a Sunday roast but they didn't seem to be aware when we arrived. They only had Lamb or Nut roast available so we chose Lamb. The quality of the meat and vegetables were good but the Yorkshire pudding was hours old and dry. The thing that let it down was it was all cold. Room temperature at best. Wouldn't go there again.

I had booked this pub for my boyfriend’s birthday having already been once before and had a lovely time on a great table. I called up to request the same table as before and it was like the man on the phone had never spoken to a human. When asked if I could make a special request for the table he said ‘give me some more information’ which already left me confused. I explained specifically where the table was and he almost had a go saying ‘well give me some more information… give me your name… I can’t book it without your name…’. If that’s how anyone thinks to speak to a customer or even just a human being then they shouldn’t be in that industry. Just so rude, won’t be going back.

The Castle have become a favorite, highly recommended.

Lovely old pub, but the atmosphere was pretty flat for a Friday afternoon. Guy behind the bar had an ear-bud in the whole time he was serving.

Nice place, lovely staff. Bit of a hit and miss on the food. Some of it great, some not so. Particularly the Scottish egg and fish and chips could pack a lot more flavour.

Possibly the best Pub in London

We are regulars and always recommend it especially for special occasions, but Christmas Lunch was an absolute disappointment. My daughter’s soup was cold, my Mrs shrimp also were cold as if just out of the fridge … my Beef Wellington was like an overdone burger and my Mrs Lamb (she love the lamb) has no side to only be brought out on a separate dish the sides … my daughter loved the turkey thankfully … the biscuits with the cheese were soggy though the apple based desert was amazing. Honestly ruined the day especially for the price.

I visited this pub after sometime, and I have to say I was very impressed by the bartenders there, very hardworking and polite. Especially Tushar, he took our order a couple of times and I saw that he worked tirelessly despite his sickness and he went above and beyond serving me his customised pornstar martini he recommended me, I liked it very much. Very good experience here, I'd recommend visiting this pub 👍👍

Historic pub between Notting Hill and Kensington. Frequented by locals, I recommend it for an authentic experience and not a tourist one. Various food options from classic fish and chips to something a little more refined. There are also vegetarian options. Prices in line with other places.

Great pub. Exactly what you would imagine a British pub would be like. Freezing outside and warm fires inside. The beer is all artisan from Yorkshire, the service was great and the food nearly clogged my arteries. Highly recommended for Australians wanting a proper pub away from the insane crowds of the city.

Chanced upon this quaint pub, nestled in the beautiful Notting Hill and just when we thought nothing could beat the gorgeous surroundings, we were pleasantly surprised with one of the coziest pubs London has to offer. The place has a charm of its one with its friendly staff making the place even more homely. Our server Shahid, was very welcoming and warm, elevating and making our experience all the more memorable. It was a wonderful experience all in all, and we would definitely revisit.

I had an amazing time here with my friends. The ambiance was fantastic, and the service was excellent. Shahil was incredibly helpful in recommending dishes, and the Turkey roast was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend visiting this place—definitely worth every penny!

Amazing little pub with a heartwarming atmosphere. The staff is friendly and polite. The wooden interior and the fireplace is really authentic, they certainly give the feeling to the pub. For tall people: Mind your head 😀 I had a nice sunday lunch here with my family members and everybody was happy with the amount on the plate 🙂 Both the Sunday Roast and Fish & Chips were tasteful and well presented 👌🏻😋 Had a good pint of Camden Hells too to complete the experience 🍺 Well recommended 🏆

We were here for Sunday lunch, my cousin found it and it turned out to be a very good choice 😊 The servers are very nice, and to our surprise one of them was Hungarian😊 The restaurant itself is very cozy, it has a real English atmosphere😊 Dark wood paneling on the walls, nice little "corners" for the guests, fireplaces (but unfortunately they are not in use). We got to our table through tiny doors, which I really liked 😊 The selection of dishes is not large, but you will definitely find something that suits you. The beers and the food are very delicious. It's true that we only ate a main meal, but we were already full with that 😊 Anyone who is in the area, take the opportunity and sit here. It's worth it!!! 😊😊

I had such an amazing time here. Firstly, the pub is lovely and has so much character. Second, Tushar the bartender is amazing. He’s so friendly and is always welcoming. He makes the best drinks! I had a lovely time at the Windsor Castle earlier this week! Loved the chicken milanese and doom bar and the children loved their sausage and mash and fish and chips. Great drinks too, the grapefruit and pomelo spritz was so nice and refreshing I couldn’t stop drinking it! I was served by the lovely Fihat, gave me all the great recommendations and made the visit a memorable one, we will definitely be back!

Hiya, a big thank you because we had a great day! Shahil and his team and were excellent. We had a lot of people for my 50th birthday so was quite chaotic but the guys made us feel special. They were calm under pressure, remembered orders and faces to deliver them too and were great at communicating where the tab was up to. All the guests commented what a great venue we had, a convivial space for a large group. Everyone was super happy with the food. The massive retractable awnings were great when it rained for 5mins. Drinks were great. Overall the perfect place for a big birthday. Even my mum loved it.

Superb little old pub in Notting hill serving classic English dishes with a great selection of beers. Little nooks and crannies and a buzzy little courtyard style garden, book ahead!

La comida se veía bien, pero francamente era insípido. Elegí la ensalada de pollo. Las ensaladas de garbanzos y patatas eran tan insípidas que no me molesté en terminar mi comida.

We hosted our daughter’s fourth birthday here in the garden & everyone was incredible at making the day a huge success and “best birthday ever” (in her own words). Shahil ensured the set-up, food/drink, and entire event went smoothly. If there were more than five stars we’d give them!

Came here a few days ago for food and drinks with a friend. Beautiful girl at the bar who was very helpful. Would come again for her service. Did not catch her name but she was very beautiful. Drinks were expensive but not her fault.
