Horrible service, preheated food, dry Yorkshire puddings, cold gravy...very loud music and a lot of arrogance and arrogance in the table service.

Zittend aan een hoog tafeltje schrijf ik deze review omdat we zo waanzinnig hebben genoten van onze vis en chips. In Nederland hebben we veel lekkerbekjes gegeten maar deze slaan werkelijk alles. Zo knapperig en vers en dat samen met de heerlijke patat en de saus. We twijfelen of we nu nog een portie gaan bestellen want we willen eigenlijk nog meer pareltjes ontdekken. Als je in de buurt bent ga zeker even kijken en genieten.

I am writing this review while sitting at a high table because we enjoyed our fish and chips so much. We have eaten a lot of tasty treats in the Netherlands, but these really hit everything. So crispy and fresh, together with the delicious fries and sauce. We are unsure whether we will order another portion now because we actually want to discover even more gems. If you are in the area, definitely take a look and enjoy.

I found this place when I was browsing around the Portobello Road Market. There were lot of tourists including me but I had a very nice time and the food and the beer were super delicious! I would like to comeback again!

Popped in here for a quick lunch. There were six of us and they seated us immediately. The waiter was very attentive and made great food and drink suggestions. The falafel burger and chicken burgers were excellent. We also loved the olives and halloumi fries. My son was disappointed in the fish and chips, but it’s because they use haddock instead of cod. If you like haddock, the fish is good. The mulled wine hit the spot on a chilly afternoon.

Visitamos este pub en Nochebuena para la cena. Personal agradable y acogedor. Nos sorprendió la calidad y la selección de la comida - mucho mejor que la tarifa estándar del pub (aunque tienen eso también, por ejemplo, pescado con patatas fritas, hamburguesas). Yo tenía la pasta con mariscos y él tenía la panza de cerdo con puré (suena gracioso pero estaba delicioso). Luego la manzana - ciruela se desmenuza con natillas de postre. Me sorprendieron algunos de los comentarios negativos... pero - a diferencia de algunos otros - sí me gusta que alguien nos reconozca y nos siente cuando entramos en lugar de luchar por una mesa libre y esperando llamar la atención de un camarero.

Amazing fish & chips! One of the best I ever had. The staff was very friendly and attentive.

We had such a sweet time at this pub. The staff were genuinely lovely, the owner chatted to customers and even brought down his gorgeous bear of a dog, Bertie, so i could give him a pat! Bertie was just gorgeous! We popped in after a morning at the portobello markets and had beer and drinks, and it was a comfy place to take a break. The interior is lovely and unfussy with cute christmas decorations. Thanks so much!

Had good time at portbello road!

Food is bad and soooo overpriced, very small small portions for a cold roast with microwaved potatoes. Pig in blankets tasted off and deep fried. Even the gravy was cold. Service is hit and miss, friendly but unavailable or hard to get. Very basic and too pricey. Got given the bill without even asking.one beer and a roast £40 each insane.

Food was pretty mid, got kicked off a table because it was all of a sudden reserved after we paid the bill even through no signs were there and we were still finishing our drinks The service was really bad in short and the food you’d be better going elsewhere

At the end of Portobello road, cozy pub and good food. The dishes are served hot. Very good stopover in the middle of a day in Notting Hill. London prices but reasonable: £113 for 4 courses, 1 dessert (excellent brownie), 2 coffees, 1 water, 1 pint.

Popped inside here for a pint of neck oil after wandering around the market. Nice interior, friendly staff and a decent looking menu.

We stopped here to try real London food and I must say everything was really delicious! I got the pork with mashed red cabbage and applesauce. There was also another delicious sauce. Really excellent and recommended!

We took a lunch break after visiting Notting Hill. A very warm welcome, followed by quality service. Always smiles from the staff. Hearty and very good meal.

Have a drink and have live music

Awful pub. State they are open until 12am on Saturdays. Very rude staff member approached us at 23.40 and said "we're closed, leave" as we tried to finish our drinks. Perhaps don't take people's money if you want to close early. Also noticed from reviews this has happened to others and the pub has left petty replies about checking CCTV. Would advise people to spend their money where you can actually have a pleasant time.

They charged us a service fee without it being mentioned in the menu or even letting us know beforehand. However by the time I complained about it they recalculated the bill. Generally a nice place for a beer and something to eat!

Typical, affordable and pleasant little pub

Makes a different impression from the outside. Clean, not torn, pretty flowers, everything very straight. Well eaten...among other things. Scotch eggs and everything freshly prepared. We would be asked about any intolerances!

Small restaurant, pub in Nottinghill right on Portobello road, typical, welcoming and particular in its furnishings. Friendly staff, menu with small plates for a snack or large ones for a more filling dinner.... It's worth the stop... The wine obviously expensive as in all of Great Britain... worth trying

Lovely pub on Portobello Road. Distinctive by its yellow colour. Small but cute beer garden at the back. Staff were friendly and helpful. We didn't eat on this occasion.

Really nice and characteristic pub, very colorful on the outside. Helpful and kind staff. Exceptional burgers and chips (ditto the sauces)! It is open all day, so you can have lunch with great flexibility in terms of time. Highly recommended! After 7 months I returned with my daughter and I must say that in a restaurant, the staff makes the difference. We had a waitress (in any case a young blonde lady with her hair tied up) who was very sullen and not smiling at all. She was probably tired, but her manner is not that of someone who knows how to be in public. The atmosphere of the pub is always characteristic and the music is good

My partner and I booked the garden for 30 people. We were able to put our own music and the staff were beyond amazing , Rayna and Monica were particularly legends ! Thank you for having us , we will come back 100% sure . Please try the halloumi fries !

A picturesque place in Portobello, you will recognize it by its yellow facade! The tables are a little too crowded, so there is a lot of noise while you eat. The service was friendly. The food, typical of London taverns, based on hamburgers, fish & chips, salads... We opted for Caesar salad and chicken burger and it was quite good.
