Visited a conference at this hotel and decided to have lunch in the Artisan grill, having walked in and waited by the entrance I was simply ignored for at least 3-4 minutes, in fact it was only a memeber of staff that was replenishing some sandwiches who even bothered to acknowledge me. To give this guy credit as soon as I said I would like a table he went and asked another team member to help. I was seated at 13:15, and for coming up to 20 minutes I was simply ignored, no waiting staff appaorched to take my order, in fact hardly any waiting staff were around, and the one that was seemed to be constantly walking over to the other part of the premises known as Artisan table, and from what I could see was chatting with other staff in that area. It got to about 13:35 and I finally caught the eye of a waitress, who wnet to another table and only came to mine after a further few miuntes, it was close to 13:40 when they finally took my order comprising a drink a starter and a main. Whilst at that point I was not happy I had an expectation that I would now be served in a timely manner that would allow me to have lunch and get to my next meeting. However that was not the case and after a further 25 miuntes I had still not been served anything, not even my drink. Finally a waitier approached, who I now know to be the manager, and had bought the starter and main at the same time, As already mentioned I still had not been served my drink at this time, and too be frank I had simply had enough of this dire service and made my thoughts known. To give the guy his due he was very apologetic and suggested that he would waive the bill, however I was now past the point where I would have been able to enjoy the meal as I had pre booked events to attend. So I decided to leave. Not an experieince that I ever wish to repeat, and I understand that they may have been short staffed, but this is a major hotel in London, so you would think they would have processes in place, for example if you don't have the staff then don't open the Grill part of the restuarant but instead put your focus on the Artisan Table section which is a self service buffet, where in fact I had paid for breakfast that morning, so the rating I give for food is based on the breakfast and not lunch as I never got to eat it.

Bertotti had a pop-up at Fume BBQ Festival. We paid for 2 scoops and asked if they could be put in separate tubs so we could share. The manager said he couldn't do it. We then asked if we could just have an empty tub so we could split it ourselves - the manager then get very irate and said he's travelled the world and we would not find an ice cream shop anywhere that would give a tub for free. I found this behaviour very odd and confusing - would not buy from there again!

Nice pub but empty on a Saturday afternoon May be due to the price of beer Staff OK but when I popped in there was more staff than customers Management seem to spend a lot of time eating free bee meals in front of customers 5 very young female members probably 18 years old who looked more like teeny bopper Taylor swift fans giggling and not trying to look busy Maybe the Youngs male managers who work there like them that way Young

Rude staff and management who were more interested in their phones than serving customers . Poor attitude from the staff we encountered and management seemed to let them do whatever they wanted. Our food was good but our experience was ruined by the attitude of staff members who looked like they didn’t want to be there and had no idea of how to speak to customers. Long waits between us sitting down at our table to staff taking our orders to our food coming out because they were constantly on their phones. Because of this we would not return.

Deceptively larger inside than it appears from outside, this is a go to pub for me whenever I'm in London. It's a Fuller's pub, so all the standard ales & lagers are served. Currently there is a 20% reduction on those from 12am to 4pm Monday to Thursday, so really good value.Stand out for me is the vibe, and great service from Nic,Zoe & all the bar staff, really friendly. The garden out back is large with a lot of tables. The food served is from a Thai menu, & while not my cup of tea,it seems really popular with other customers.Overall,a cracking pub, comfortable with a good atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Went for lunch on the recommendation of a friend. Had an excellent experience and is well worth a detour. Started with a generous portion of Mussels which was superb. Main course was Hake on Asparagus, with sides of new potatoes and a stunning Mango salad. Great discovery having lived and dined in the area for years.. New Chef led owners have transformed a traditional local pub by enhancing it's charm but adding Michelin grade food at affordable prices. Very family friendly. Service was utterly charming. Will be returning both on my own, with family and friends.

Booked a table for 5.15 to give us plenty of time to eat before going to a concert - at 6pm they told us our food would not be ready until 7pm - I explained our situation that we would not have time to eat our food and the waitress replied it wasn’t her problem - say no more - currently eating my dinner in burritos
