Bill's Restaurant in Hammersmith and Fulham

Rude staff and management who were more interested in their phones than serving customers . Poor attitude from the staff we encountered and management seemed to let them do whatever they wanted. Our food was good but our experience was ruined by the attitude of staff members who looked like they didn’t want to be there and had no idea of how to speak to customers. Long waits between us sitting down at our table to staff taking our orders to our food coming out because they were constantly on their phones. Because of this we would not return.

Arith was super friendly and really welcoming, if he’s on shift, you better eat here! That’s really my boy right there thank you Arith

Me and my friends received excellent service from a waiter called Michael. He was patient and very polite in his manners and made sure that everyone was seated comfortably

Had a quick business lunch at the Hammersmith Bill’s and it was pretty nice for a lunch. Being a chain, you cannot expect too much, it delivers what it promises: down-to-earth atmosphere and food. Arrived and were completely ignored for over 10 minutes whilst stood at the door. Tried to get the attention of a waitress and was eventually waved away incredibly rudely after she prioritised cleaning numerous tables before acknowledging us. We ended up leaving without eating as a result.

Dreadful customer service. No greeting when I entered the restaurant, no words at all when I asked for a table for one, and then to top it off, was then told when trying to place an order that I could only order a hot drink as no food was being prepared at that time, and not until 9am. No apology, nothing at all as I left the restaurant. Customer service at its worst.

Food was lovely, nice atmosphere and exceptional service by Hal! Would definitely go back and recommend to my friends!

Turned up twice during our stay in Hammersmith. Both times without reservations (don’t be disappointed! This is a popular place so book ahead!). Luckily we were early enough to get a seat. My wife and I each had the full breakfast (on Saturday, it’s a brunch so a bigger serving). Food is delicious and reasonably priced. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. There were families there with small kids so a great mix of customers. Only comment is that both times we ate there, the food was not as hot as I’d like it…it wasn’t cold, just could have been warmer.

As per the more recent reviews we also experienced a very long wait at the door Despite pre booking weeks in advance. Took over 15 mins to get seated at our table and another 10 mins for our drinks order. Feel the place is very under staffed. I did feel for the poor staff who were trying their best, but a few more pairs of hands would of made a difference. Food was average when arrived - nothing to shout about. Wouldn’t rush back.

We went to Bills at 7.30pm but spent 10mins at the door before we got any attention to be seated, despite many empty tables. A waitress even laid a table nearest to the door without raising her head or acknowledging we were there. Once eventually seated which took forever waited 15mins for our order to be taken. To be fair our starters arrived promptly but before any drinks did, which we had to ask for. Water glasses were on the table but no water, had to ask for that also, bearing mind we had been 4hrs in the car getting into London, really needed the drink! Had to request a 2nd plate in order to share the ‘Sharing platter’. There was just no lead taken by any of the staff; service was incredibly poor & apathetic; they genuinely looked like they really didn’t want to be there. My prawn & salmon cocktail arrived without any salmon in it. The waitress told me many customers say that but it’s in as sort of a pate!! No pate in mine my love. Our journey with Bills has ended unfortunately & we even know Bill! I’m sure he would be happy with it either!!

4 of us had a quick dinner at 4:45, it took so long for us to be served that we missed the 5pm cut off for the all day brunch menu. 1st disappointment. My meat balls were tepid, more shocking some of the the mussels shells in the seafood pasta were shattered which meant sharp shards were scattered among the linguine so you couldn’t eat comfortably for fear of your mouth being cut up. 2nd disappointment. They were so busy at 6:15 that I went up to the desk to ask to pay, 3 times.Finally when we were asked how meal was - we did answer truthfully about the mussel shells and they took that meal dish off the bill. The service of 12.5% was added to the bill automatically. Sorry we won’t be returning to any Bills restaurants, we found the service pleasant but chaotic.

We often have breakfast at Bill’s in different areas. This is the first time we have eaten dinner. My wife was very unhappy with her starter (prawn cocktail with salmon). As it had no obvious salmon and was just mushy. Three prawns on edge of glass. The deconstructed shawarma with flat garlic bread was poor overall. Salad was not great and whole radishes is not acceptable. We won’t eat dinner at a Bill’s again.

Went here prior to the Tom Allen show at The Apollo. Good food and service from start to finish, only criticism is the tables are very close together so not easy to have a conversation without overhearing what the next table are talking about! Overall though a very nice experience - worth booking if there’s a show at The Apollo as it did get very busy and they had to turn people away.

We had not booked, but they successfully did their best to find up a table, even though the restaurant was very busy. Nothing appeared to be too much trouble. Jose our server was helpful and always around when we needed him. The food was yummy. I had the stack of five pancakes , which was a bit more than I could manage, and could have done with a little more fruit and syrup. I would recommend this restaurant but advise booking. I discovered there is also one in Birmingham, which I near to where I live and I hope to visit soon.

First time dining in this branch, passed it a few times but thought I’d give it a go. First of all, there’s no WiFi or it has a really weak signal which is a problem for me as I had to use internet services to translate for my guest. However, the amazing Hal was close to hand and assisted us with the query and provided an amazing service! Food was flavoursome and the service was great :)

Visited Bills yesterday evening after a while just before heading off to the Apollo for a show, our server Hal was attentive, offered great suggestions and handled our order promptly as we stated we were pressed for time. Food was fantastic, service was perfect and I would highly recommend this branch!

Went to Bills for a family meal. The food was delicious. Service was great. We had three courses all of which came out in a timely manner. Our server Hal was fabulous very attentive and friendly . Would definitely recommend and will return next time we are in Hammersmith.

I've been served on time and I've been sit on a table next to the charger according to my requirement. There's a really friendly lady named Eliza which I found out at the end she's the manager, and everyone from the staff seems to be confident with her. Looking forward to come again for breakfast or brunch.

I came here with some friends for lunch having not heard of Bill's before, and what a pleasant surprise it was! The food was tasty and the service was great, our waitress was so smiley and accomodating and so helpful advising us about intolerances we had within the group (I think her name may have been Olivia? The lady with the ginger hair). We will be back!

It’s been a while since I’ve written a review, but I’m actually still in the restaurant.. the food is mediocre, the calamari was lovely, the chicken was absolutely tasteless, my wife enjoyed her meal but agreed with the chicken tasting of nothing.. the service is poor, I’m still in the restaurant waiting to make eye contact with a staff member for a dessert order and another drink.. it’s been 25 mins since someone attended to us… the service will definitely put us off stopping for a spontaneous meal.

Went for lunch. Staff freiendly enough. Ambience pleasant. The food was pretty tasteless and we waited a long while for drinks and the food to show up. Yes the place was busy but thay should be set up for that. Very weirdly the donuts came with what purported to be a chocolate sauce that tasted vile. Overall, our experience was far worse that other reviewers but such is life.

Food and coffee was super tasty, we really enjoyed it. only thing i would say is service is a little bit slow, but not a problem if you’re not in a rush

My experience at Bill's Hammersmith was absolutely exceptional! Although the place was super busy, I couldn't praise enough the staff, so friendly, efficient and professional at the same time! I will definitely return!

WOW, the food is so delicious, lots to choose from and everything sounds really nice! Great service from very happy staff and really helpful staff. The prices are reasonable and the seats are comfortable and spaced out.
