Defectors Weld in Hammersmith and Fulham

We came here for Sunday Roast and we were super happy! Everything was perfect: food absolutely amazing (from the appetizer to the main, to the dessert), service impeccable and everything was extremely clean! We can’t wait to try the rest of the menu, we will be definitely coming back!

What a great pub! Seafood sharing plate is fabulous. It was a very busy evening but Andre went out of his way to look after us. We'll be back for sure.

Both the drinks and food on offer are on point, meal was well presented and was delicious, service was prompt and fast

Great pub for pre match drinks before and after QPR matches , but why oh why are tables reserved for before and after matches, want a table , get there earlier…. Reserving tables should not be allowed on match days …

Rats in the pub, £10 for only 3 chicken wings as dry as the Sahara desert, the price of 2mcdonals meal or a full Nando’s meal with a drink. The manager steals tips off the staff, so give any tips directly to your desired person. Music is so loud. I’ve witnessed supervisors buying drugs off customers. A total mess in this place. Would not recommend at all

Great pub that’s had a full refit

Had a lovely evening with friends. Great food, loved the style of the place and the bar manager, the girl with the ponytail, was super friendly.

Busy bustling pub full of life and character. Went for a meal and got squashed into a small table next to a wall and we half froze when people kept leaving the door open leading to outside and the toilets. However the food was great, the chef clearly has some really interesting ideas and makes food that would be highly rated in a good restaurant. Service was ok not particularly friendly except one waitress who was smiley and asked if we wanted more drinks and that was particularly welcome. So I would say keep the chef at any cost and with friendly service, the pub would get 5 stars.

Absolutely worth seeing pub - from the outside as well as the inside. Very courteous service. Eating there is highly recommended - drinking anyway. And if you're lucky, you'll get “Tito” as a bonus.

Good service, lots of seats, outdoor heaters, reasonably priced, I'd go again.

One of our party lost eyesight from drinking. Not impressed. Burgers were good.

Me and a friend had a lovely Sunday roast with all the trimmings on the 3rd March, the food was delicious, the staff super friendly and helpful, the vibe in the place was great and the place I believe was recently refurbished and looks great. Very much recommended. Thanks you

Visited the place last Thursday. The place was empty at 4pm so had a chance to occupy large table for an event with the colleagues. The place serves nice passion fruit martini, though without Prosecco. But this minor inconvenience was resolved by ordering Prosecco glass on a side The food was amazing, we only had starters and shared plates, but it was so good I did not get a chance to take photo of shared plates before they were finished !

A great find if You're staying in the area. A really warm and friendly pub. Lots of stylish seating, friendly staff and lovely food. Clearly well loved by locals, a great after work vibe and tourist pitstop ❤️

Nice bar on the corner of wood Lane and Uxbridge Road,nice friendly staff,good selection of beers,nice looking bar and very clean, would highly recommend a visit if in the area.

We had a great pre gig (Shepherds bush empire ) meal and drink there , the food was really good , the staff were friendly and helpful … i would thoroughly recommend the place,

Absolutely amazing local pub. The recent refurbishment has given this place an amazing atmosphere, great space and everything is new and clean. Food is 10 out of 10, good selection of dishes…a great take on classic pub food. Price is reasonable for the area and the quality. Really amazing and friendly staff. Super cute beer garden. This is now our favourite local. Highly recommended.

Superb refurb! Pub looks great, love the new range of beers on and the burgers were ace! A lovely breath of fresh air into one of my favourite pubs in the area!!

Dreadful. Made a booking to catch up with work colleagues. Music was way too loud for any conversation and this was very early in the evening. I complained to the manager who refused to help and said it was people, not the music! There was a clear difference in volume between the front and back of pub and I know of others who also complained at the same time. We had to move to the garden/smoking area to finish up so we could talk. Really poor service - staff had no clue in bar management. No crisps. Wine out of stock. Food ordered off menu took way too long to arrive and wasn't all that. It's a shame as it's a lovely pub but I won't be in a hurry to return.

Friendly service in attractive surroundings.

Came across this cute place while killing some time and after 38 hours of travelling to London this place was the best place to take a breath and have a drink. Recently done up inside and looks amazing! Food and drinks were awesome too. Would definitely recommend to anybody near in the area.

Great beer selection, atmosphere was lovely and chilled until the music got louder. Ordered two dinners: hogget pie was amazing albeit too much salt. Brisket burger was tough, the meat on top was too tough to eat, chips weren't great. Would come back of we were on the area but different time and different meals

The food is interesting and overall good. The service is uneven and I’ve had bar tenders have to look up recipes several times…and they are slow! But it’s a really good vibe. Music is a bit loud if you want to chat.

Great renovated pub, staff look after customers.

The renovation is really good and the wine was nice but the bar staff don't keep track of when people arrive at the bar so the service is slow and it's annoying when they skip over people. The food would have been ok had it been heated through properly, it was a bit expensive considering the quality. I've always liked this pub over the years so hopefully they will improve if we go again.

Went here with my friends the other week, the food was delicious and atmosphere amazing, but what made it even more special was the service, one of the girls working there , the blonde one was extremely welcoming, she made delicious cocktails and made our whole night ever more amazing with her bubbly and lovely character!

The place has a really nice vibe, with DJ and all of that and the food is excelente! I tried the Chicken Sharer and it tasted amazing!!!

We had a works leaving party here for one of our collegues. Service was amazing, all the staff were extremly attentive, helpful and friendly from organising at the start to the actual evening. Food was excellant and drinks flowed all night. Great atmosphere, great night and fantastic sending off party.

The place underwent a refurbishment, and I was expecting this to bring a new lease of life to an already established and solidly run place . Little did I know that although the place is new and well laid , the atmosphere inside will be a bit livelier than the atmosphere at somebody's wake . On the door, we were greeted by the security team, who , with all due respect , one can see that they are out of their comfort zone and that they are wastly inexperienced. Asking me for an ID when it's clear that i am in my 30s was a bit funny. But then, while trying to find my ID , they simply moved out of the way for some guy who literally barged into them , did tell me that the guys are afraid to challenge anyone who shows their teeth to them. Inside , as i said , everything was new , but the atmosphere was very bland . Ordered some finger food, which was OK tbh , but the staff inside was a bit slow and not so much interested in doing their job. A bit of morr enthusiasm, please! 😃 In the end, just to say,... bring us the old DEFWCTORS WELD back, please.

Celebrated the night of my 43rd birthday at the defectors weld and was pleasantly surprised at how much fun we all had, great staff, fab cocktails and special thanks to the DJ playing on Saturday night for playing Latin tunes and even Salsa as well as the popular party tunes including rnb dance etc thank you this really made our night, will definitely return

We had walked through Shepherds Bush Market, and just popped in here after taking a photo of the superb frontage, then getting caught in a heavy shower. We were immediately blown away by the decor and style of the place and had just a quick pint, but were served by a very pleasant and freindly waitress who was eager to tell us about how it had recently been refurbished. It was quite early in the day, and quite quiet, so I took a few photos of the interior too as it was so impressive. We are unlikely to ever be back in this area but, on the strength of this quick visit, hope it does well - it deserves to !!!

Love Defector’s Weld. I am obsessed with their renovation. Had food a few times & it is delicious. Best Sunday Roast I have had in a long time.

Absolutely perfect - really great food and the service was amazing. They were very attentive and accommodating, especially on match day. Glad to have the doors open again to our neighborhood pub.

Beef Brisket donuts are not what is described! Was half cooked dough with super salted brisket on top and then scattered with bland popcorn. Also had a booking was asked to wait at the bar while the waitress found my table and then see her eating at the end of the bar 2-3 minutes later while I’m still waiting to be seated! Not impressed by staff or food. Very poor for Youngs standards.

WOW! What a change. This pub is a luxury. It feels so cozy and with a proper old English pub feel. And the new outdoor area really is a welcome addition. Well done to all for an epic upgrade (i really couldn't be bothered with this pub for the last 10 years)

Popped in for a drink and really enjoyed the music, atmosphere and food/drink options available! Staff all very friendly and the artwork and seating makes it feel fresh and cosy. Will be back!

A great and cozy spot away from the hustle and bustle. The staff are friendly and professional and the pub is a well lit, spacious and airy place to relax and have a drink with friends.

Terrible place. Security is actually a joke. If you go outside for a cigarette they won’t let you back in. Which is very cool if you are with work colleagues, you will want to commit yourself the next day :))

Amazing refurbishment, looks amazing. Good vibes, good prices but absolute clueless staff, not all but some. Overcharged my card and made me the wrong drink twice, won’t be too harsh in lack of experience but got to learn quick!

What a turnaround. My last visit here was dreadful. Used to have the most ignorant and arrogant bar staff in london and average food. But now, redecorated and beautifully styled and staffed by LOTS of great, friendly staff and a chef who’s got great ideas - it’s the best in The Bush!

This venue has re-opened and has the potential to be an excellent venue. Unfortunately, they have now hired extremely rude and aggressive security / doormen who are not only unnecessarily rude (and I have heard on several accounts, discriminatory) at the door - they also parol around the venue, sitting down in the garden, attempting to intimidate people simply trying to relax and eat / drink with their friends. If they replaced the security / doormen with good, friendly people (like Mustafa who used to work there) I will definitely consider returning. In the meantime, I would strongly suggest avoiding this pub.

This is no longer a good pub. There is no longer any good staff. There is very little point to visit the defectors now. Has this pub been put together by a group of people who have never been to a pub?

I cannot believe the damage done to this pub. Somehow you have spent ingodly amounts of money to rip out the heart of a warm and welcoming venue, removed all of the staff who could actually do their jobs and speak with customers and replaced it with £8 flat pints. The biggest surprise is that you’ve retained the roadmen of w12. Genuinely a baffling situation to see a once great pub in. It’s like you’ve got operations and area managers who have never visited Shepherd’s Bush.

All long term staff have gone since reopening and been replaced with clueless staff. This place has really lost its charm, such a shame

The worst. I came in at lunchtime to book a table and spoke to the manager about where was a quiet place to eat. Arrived at 7.30pm to find our reservation had been taken by another party who refused to move. I’m disabled and had to stand there with a very embarrassed waitress asking them to move. After 10 minutes they finally agreed to move. Leaving us with a beer soaked table that I had to repeatedly asked to be clean. The music was horrendously loud making conversation impossible. My friend had driven from Oxford to meet us. We downed one drink we had already bought from the bar and left in disgust. Really appalling and the management refused to come out of the back office to assist.

Booked our Christmas Party here. Table was located in the loudest part of the pub with speakers on high volume from 7.45pm, uncomfortably loud for dinner. We asked for the volume to be turned down and it was (a little) but it was still too loud to have any sort of conversation during dinner. We pre-ordered our food but service was extremely slow. 30 minutes to get a drink, over an hour to get first course, another 45 minutes for mains and then one meal was missed so they ate solo. Food was very nice; tasty & plentiful but for whatever reason the service was just too slow and the positioning of the table for 16 pax terrible. Saw some better spots and suggest moving forward that the area upstairs might work better for eating/group dining. It's Christmas so we paid in full and paid the service charge but if it was any other time of year we would not have.

Was discriminated againts when I said I was and LGTB woman. A security man with hanging braids would not stop accusing me and my partner, pushing and shoving.

So glad Defector’s is back! Can see the new staff are learning and they were all very attentive. Refurb is beautiful, love the new toilets upstairs! Food was great too- we had toad in the hole (amazing) and a black pudding scotch egg and chips. Would love to see some salt and pepper on the table, more napkins (we were only given one napkin for the two of us), and maybe easier crockery to eat out of for the scotch egg (or an offering of a side plate) but apart from that, spot on. Came back with friends later on in the night and stayed til late, and we had a lovely time! Can’t wait to come back soon 🙂

I have been coming here for a while now, since the new management arrived it’s been getting better and better. I went today as it has been refurbished! And it’s better than ever! My Sunday roast beef was fantastic! We will defo be back again! Thank you for the Great hospitality!!

The pub looks amazing after the refurbishment. Staff are super attentive. Great atmosphere. The food is really good. Menu is limited with something for everyone and is better than just traditional pub grub. Would recommend going. Great pub.

I think I went here everyday for a year after work. Still go whenever I’m back in London. Probably my fave pub in the world

I didn't eat there so can't comment on that. I used to work around the corner and it was a great place for a drink. A few years on revisiting it as I passed I found the atmosphere to be rather aggresive, the service was OK but the prices were not. Bonkers amounts to pay for pint in Shepherds Bush.

Checked the menu for meals and cocktails before selecting this pub. Menu looked great so booked a table for lunch with my sister for her birthday. When we got there the place was empty and we were told to sit anywhere. It was a beautiful sunny day and my sister sat with her back to the window. The sun shone on the dust behind her, and on the lamp to her left, she didn't dare lean back for fear of getting it on her. Didn't look like the place had been cleaned at all. The cocktail menu was null and void, we had to order from the 'spritz' menu. My sister had wanted the pie, and was told that it was off the menu since they make it on the premises fresh. That didn't make sense if you make it fresh on the premises then why wasn't there any at 12 noon on a Saturday afternoon? We ordered 2 spritz drinks which tasted like slightly flavoured water with no alcohol. We both ordered starters which were also disappointing. The drinks were overpriced, and so were the starters. Not only were they both overpriced they were very poor quality. We had intended to have a main course, but the 2 drinks and 2 starters came to £52 and we went elsewhere for a proper lunch and proper cocktails. Would not recommend this place.

I went here yesterday and I thoroughly enjoyed my experience. We ordered: - fish and chips (beer battered haddock with mushy peas) - A defectors burger - Chicken Kimchi The food was a 10/10 experience.

A fabulous range of beers along with top pub grub. Maybe a tad pricey but well worth it. We are there after visiting the Bush Theatre and would definitely go back to both venues

Good old fashion pub. Normal prices, spacious and well located. Felt comfortable, good attention. Nothing remarkable other than my friend @NicoAngemi who played amazingly on acoustic Thursdays.

Was a early part of the week late evening, so little to no people inside, good selection of beers , spirits would not call it a cocktail bar but more pub style. Attentive staff, found available lounge sofas and seats would imagine place would be rocking on a going out night

Nice Pub. The food has been very delicious. We had the Defectors plantbased Burger with fries and a vegan bowl. Prices are good and the staff is friendly. I'll definetly come back

Lovely pub, Food was fantastic. Staff were helpful friendly and knowledgeable. My only criticism would be the smoking area was a bit grubby and grim. But wouldn't put me off going there again.

I had walked in with my friend after they had closed with the door still open, we needed the toilet so POLITELY went up to the guy at the bar to see if we could quickly (understanding that they had closed so walked in respectfully knowing we could be sent away) after asking he shouted straight away ‘get out’ before we had said a word… we replied knowing we understand and he continued to shout ‘get out, I’ve had a bad day,’ this was very rude and after coming to this pub a few times before I was definitely under no impression to go back after being spoken to in this manner a simple ‘sorry we are closed’ would have been fine as we literally ASKED for permission nicely. I was incredible shocked with the type of behaviour coming from a member of staff. Very rude member of staff.
