The Salutation is a gorgeous, cosy, jovial pub that serves delicious Thai food. The £12 pad thai is always a winner, and the service is lovely!

Don't go expecting a pub. This is strictly a Thai restaurant. Bar service was pleasant and friendly, but we were expecting a place to drink and this isn't that at all.

So first time eating here, it seemed that we was put to the back of the pub near the garden, which was disappointing, the food didn't come out as thought 2starters only one arrived a few mins passed before the other arrived and it was the same for the main course, that said the food was very nice, a bit on the small size portion wise, the green Thai curry coukd have done with more sauce as the dish became very dry due to the dribble of sauce given, waitress seemed annoyed and it showed in her service,

Def the best Thai food I had in London. The raw crab, prawn and salmon were very delicious. I’d come back all the time

Tiktok scammed me into coming here. The food is good, but, its not exceptional like tiktok makes it to be. Its average. Do I recommend it ? For someone who is near by and wants thai, its a choice…

A nice place, with exquisite and different food.

Really nice authentic Thai Restaurant, restaurant hidden within a pub. Interesting feel about it, walking into a pub and seeing people eating Thai food. Really spacious with big garden space at the rear. Drinks have to be ordered at the bar separately and food ordered at the table. Quick service and food turnaround was pretty good. Really tasty food and big portions. Team was really kind and helpful.

The food was absolutely amazing the best I've ever had in the UK so authentic and just as it was in Thailand I highly recommend eating here you won't be disappointed.

Liked the pub. Nice beer garden at the back where seats have heating. The ambience in restaurant is good. Welcoming staff. I didn't try the food, just had some drinks. And that was a good experience. Overall good vibes and would like to visit again.

Empty except for staff dining. No wine list. Offered red or white. When asked about the white wine reluctant to tell us what we had. Refused to serve 125ml size. Toilets dirty. No evidence of cleaning chart. When I politely and discreetly pointed out that they were dirty wax told oh that’s from yesterday. Sad really because it used to be a really nice pub The wine was ok in fact but we didn’t feel welcome

Excellent Thai food in a classic English pub. You order drinks at the bar, and the wait staff takes food orders and brings it to you. Beef soup was amazing as was the Larb.

A lovely pub with a beautiful interior which surprisingly holds up it’s own lovely atmosphere for over 200-300 years, at one point even her majesty has visited this place, although their turned this pub - into Thai restaurant which was in my opinion quite big mistake, because the place is full of dish smell and it takes away that atmosphere of pub, it has a big garden and lovely view, beer 🍻 there are not that many good choices of beer and most is foreign beer. It’s ok place to have a drink.

Stumbled upon this Thai restaurant and the food was so delicious I made a point of stopping to say so as I left. Will definitely be back again.

What a great find in Hammersmith a pub with thia food had grand feed and good night out with my son and his wife how is thia and her love it so it must be good .

I really enjoyed this pub! The beer garden is lovely and spacious but with tables laid out that makes you feel you have your own little separate piece of it should you wish it. The staff were always smiling. And I will definitely be going back for the food, it smelled delicious and the restaurant was full!

Popped in for a couple of pints. Didn't realise there was a Thai restaurant on site too. But what made this unique was a huge outdoor beer garden. The inside seems like a mix of Thai restaurant and a pub. But great if you want a few drinks then eat!

The food is ok but the Thai lady at the cashier is quite rude. Other employees are quite friendly.

Quiero destacar que no tienen bebidas, las bebidas se piden en la parte del Pub. Se notaba que tenian ganas de cerrar por que el hombre de la caja me atendió bastante rudo y maleducado. ✨Tienen una fantástica terraza fuera que es donde comimos. ✨ Al ver que no nos servían (pasados 30 minutos) fui a preguntar que si todo estaba bien, spoiler: se habían olvidado completamente de nosotros!! Y además había un cartel de “cocina cerrada” como ya había pagado por adelantado, fueron rápidos a la cocina para que cocinaran lo antes posible… Después de este pequeño incidente nos sirvieron bastante rápido. 🇹🇭

Very authentic Thai food! We order Pad Thai with prawns, stir fried morning glory, green curry chicken and pork bone soup. The pork born soup is yummy balanced with lime juice, chili, fish sauce and vinegar.

The place claims to be a pub. But the menu is one of a thai restaurant. So service is a bit confusing, you pass and pay the food order at one counter and order and pay your drinks at the bar. Food is not bad tho, curry soup savour as a genuine Thai. Price very decent.

Nice food and friendly waiting staff! Recommend pre-ordering Salmon Dong which is their best dish.

Great food. The staff are nice and Kenny (one of the staff members) explained the recipe for the chilly sauce patiently and very well. Excellent experience overall! Recommend to everyone who wants great thai food

Wow! I came here for lunch and can honestly say that this is my new favourite Thai restaurant. I was excited by the fact that a lot of the dishes on the menu were unfamiliar to me. Eventually, I decided on the deep friend pork neck which was served in a zingy/sweet/delicious/tamarind-y sauce. I can't wait to come back and try all the other things on their menu. For the less adventurous, they also have the well-known Thai curry & noodle dishes.

Nice food, but many times I went there it is not open… Either it is renovation or something else.. they are also not open on Sunday.

Very delicious authentic Thai food. Some uncommon dishes like salmon salad not found in other Thai restaurants. Comparable price but not cheap (none these days anyway). Eat in portion seems to be more than takeaway.

The food I bought was very tasty but they lacked a tofu option for my vegetarian friend. They had also run out of lamb for me so I settled for beef. She assured me the veg option was still good!

Nice large pub with walled back garden with sheltered tables and infra-red heating. Reasonable selection of pub food. The Thai food on offer is excellent if a little pricey - £50 for two for dinner including a pint each, but the Thai food must be good - many Thai customers.

Really lovely food in a terrible pub. The food here is so good - authentic Thai at reasonable prices. However the pub seems very badly managed, with one bartender on the bar for most of the evening. There was vomit in the sink in the women’s toilets and when I told the bartender he said he knew but couldn’t do anything about it! Such a shame the pub doesn’t match the food as I will never return

Although The Salutation still retains a lovely, traditional, old fashioned bar, this feature is let down significantly by there appearing to be more of a focus on the provision of food than the traditional pub atmosphere which is suggested by the pub's fine, traditional exterior. I think this view is best ememplified by, despite having over a dozen lagers on draught (to complement the Thai food only on offer, I suspect), there were only 3 ales usually on offer - two of which were unavailable when I visited one Monday afternoon recently. The only real postive is that the staff member looking after customers at the bar was extremely pleasant, which is the only reason I have given an extra star.

Omg! This is the real Thai among of the so called Thai restaurants in UK and more importantly tastes better than Thai restaurants in Thailand. Spectacular lala land happy home!

This has always been a lovely pub with an excellent beer garden - but with the addition of the Thai restaurant, it has reached another level. Been with family and friends, and each time has been wonderful. The food is amazing, and the menu offers dishes both familiar and exotic - an absolute treat!

Can’t comment on food as arrived to late for lunch. Ignore the opening hours on Google. Last order at 3pm at lunchtime. It’s not open all day. Annoying if you’ve paid H&F for their usurious parking charges.

This place was amazing! Had the pork skewers, salt and pepper squid and Tom yum soup. I wish I ordered more pork skewers! I am allergic to peanuts and I was a bit worried. But nothing contained nuts when I asked for them to be removed. The waiting staff are so lovely, they recommended some places in Thailand to go to!

Some of the best Thai food in West London. The smell of fermented fish as you arrive is the first sign you'll be eating like a king. A choice of som tam salads, fresh fish, and changing daily specials. Highly recommended.

A sort of OK pub but needs a bit of work on its atmosphere inside! The garden is great! The food is ok if you like Thai!

Excellent food and great prices

My wife and I are regulars and had a reservation for 730 this evening in the wonderful Thai restaurant but it all turned sour when my wife tried to order a drink at the bar. The barman with grey hair who may well be the manager requires a lesson in courtesy and the value of customer service. The curt, unwelcome and rude service we received from the bar attendant was so upsetting that we decided to cancel our restaurant reservation and seek another more civil place to have a much anticipated Friday evening . It is very sad because the pub is only successful because of great food and wonderful customer service provided by the lovely thai staff. At this economically challenging time when’s people save to go out at weekends if they can, to be served by a surly barman is a stain on your breweries reputation. Regards Anna and Ron Callis

Went for my work bday dinner. Large pub, with plenty of tables inside and out. Food was very good. The morning glory was particularly spicy and hot.

My wife( who is Thai) and I decided to go back here after a very lovely evening we had here with friends some months back. We arrived at about 4pm to find nearly all of the tables had notes stuck on them to say that they will be reserved. We spoke to a very lovely man who introduced himself as the manager who told us he would look after us if we decided to stay later than the time our table was reserved for. We bought two drinks but on our 2nd round my wife noticed that there were lipstick stains around the top of her glass. We are both very concerned about covid and have spent most of the last 2 years at home so she asked the manager if he could change the glass. He assured her he would and he would bring the new glass to our table. My wife went towards our table but kept an eye on him. He poured half of the beer out of the glass and then proceeded to wipe the lipstick stain from the glass with a towel and fill it up with beer again and brought it to our table. My wife confessed that she saw him do this and then he apologised profusely and offered us a packet of crisps or nuts. We could not understand why he would not just change the glass. We did not take up his offer of a packet of crisps and continued to enjoy our evening as best we could under the circumstances. We ordered our Thai meal and my wife asked for the meal to be extra spicy as this is how she liked it being Thai. When the meal arrived it was not spicy at all and we had to ask for extra ground chilli's to be added in a side dish. Even for myself it was not spicy at all but it was very nice and I am sure would appeal to most western tastes. The food is not cheap and is comparable price wise to most nearby Thai restaurants if not a little more expensive. The experience we had with changing the glass completely spoiled our night and we will not be returning in a hurry.

Good service from the bartender. Tried London Pride and the fruity version. Both very nice. Had tasty Thai food too but most puzzled as to the mandatory service charge, after all there was hardly any service in a pub. You had to order at the till. There was no table cloth or whatever. Food obviously taken to our table. Should that count as service?

Some of the best Thai food outside of Thailand, in the heart of Hammersmith. Great atmosphere!

My partner and myself had lunch here today. The Thai food was delicious… the best red curry I’ve had out of Thailand and my partner had stir fried chicken with cashew nuts , also really delicious. Lovely friendly staff and great service. Looking forward to our next visit.

A nice English pub with Thai food. Ordering drinks in the bar and food at the till on the side. Large selection of various Thai dishes at reasonable prices. Good and tast food and nice service

Friendly old pub with a nice, quiet beer garden.

Used to love this pub, but they seem to have refurbished all the character out of it, and the pint of ESB I was served tasted like vinegar.

What's not to like about this pub

As a local resident and a professional chef, and living in the borough for more than 35 years, the pub was so fantastic a real community pub. I have been treated with complete disrespect by the manager ( male) he simply does not give a toss about anyone, as i know a lot of local residents will not go back to the pub. His attitude is simply negative and seems to only care about looking after a certain breed of people. I certainly would not recommend this venue to anyone, as your are not welcome and the attitude is disgusting.

The most authentic Thai you could ever finds in the UK. Both taste and presentation are on point, we even got a takeaway at the same time too. Couldn’t be more Thai than this, the taste of home that I could eat everyday without getting bored. Many restaurants altered the menu to suit foreigners but this place does it exactly just how we Thai people eats. Highly recommend.

Super friendly service and great tasting authentic Thai food. The menu presented was very limited choice but was told that they're in the process of updating and adding the authentic dishes, which still can be ordered but it's hard to know what they have. Best thing to do is look at the pictures on here and if they take your fancy order them. Prices are reasonable but I did think £11 for the salad was a bit high. I would visit again and recommend this eatery.

We had a very good night out there. Lovely pub with friendly staff and Thai food to die for. Also a lovely garden area with covered seating. I am Thai and I can say that they served the best Phad Kra Pao Moo Sub Kai Dao (Minced Pork stir fried with fresh chili and basil leaves +Rice with fried egg on top) I ever had in the UK. Definitely we will go back 🥰❤🙏
