Ocean Fresh in Hammersmith and Fulham

Solid local spot for fish and chips. The food isn’t fancy but it’s fresh fried to order. There’s plenty of seating at the back, with a nostalgic diner-style feel. Note that it’s cash only, with a small surcharge for dine in customers.

One of the best chicken fillet burgers ive had in a long time! Chicken was fresh, moist and crispy. The service was really friendly too.

For anyone that is after a more than just a decent fish and chips this place hits the spot! The fish arrived hot and fresh, the batter crispy and light. Even my picky eater little one who never eats fish batter has for the first time eaten entire fish with the fish batter its that good. 😋 The chips were the perfect chip shop chips. Proper British fish and chips just like in the old days that I personally find impossible to find. The price is honestly fair given its prime London location plus the times we live in. Customer service fantastic, I ordered over the phone rather than in person. Definitely will be my go-to from now on.

Good chippy. One of the better ones in the area, if not the best. Fish was chunky and fresh. Quite large too. Chips were somewhat crispy and soft on the inside. Decent portions. Battered sausage was great too. Again one of the better ones. Price is very competitive. Great on a cold day.

I came from Birmingham to watch Aston Villa V Fulham at Craven Cottage and thought I'd go to get something to eat before the game with my 2 sons. I seen this chippy and thought I'd get us a chicken burger each. 2 of the burgers were fine but the last one they cut a fillet burger in half and then half again and put it as a third burger! So basically they gave us half a burger for one of the burgers. As it was 25 mins before kick off we rushed back and realised near the ground what they had done. Total disgrace and rip off as we paid FULL price for FULL burgers! They must have gathered we were not local so did this which is an absolute ROB! They should have said they dont have any ready and we would have ordered something else! Why do this? Avoid at all costs because if they can get away with cutting corners they will! Disgusting by them!

Been visiting a relative at CXH. There is a chip shop at one end of the journey. I was looking for free parking options in Hammersmith (yeah) and I stumbled across Ocean Fresh down Greyhound Road. Well I had to try. Cash only but decent saveloy and chips/sausage in batter with chips. Large portion even for a small.

Been going to ocean fresh since I was a kid and always welcomed by friendly good staff. The food is always delicious and high quality. I have never had a bad meal there. Always amazing food. Best fish and chip shop in London. My family has been customers since the 80/90s. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Nice Fish & Chipu in the Hammersmith ..

This is a lovely fish and chip shop that we discovered recently. The fish is outstanding with tasty, light and crispy batter. They give decent portions and the fish is fresh and flakey. The chips were incredible too. The things I didn't like: They only take cash and the chips had too many black bits the last time we ordered. It's great that they use actual potatoes but I think some attention to presentation wouldn't go amiss. The steak and kidney pie was rather unpleasant.

Found this by chance for a quick bite. Chips are so lovely and so cheap. We got great value and a huge portion for £2.80. Considering we had no time to sit and eat before the show it was quick and very good quality chips. I can't get chips for that price anywhere local where I live.

I only had some chips. They were ok. Not the worst and not the best. In 2023 its one of the few shops that takes cash only. These shop owners have to realise not everyone carries cash on them these days.

Non Greacy Affordable Food ! I love not only the Chip's but the Southern Fried Chicken Too ... Though i often get pies ! ... Ive never eaten the fish due to marine life being unsustainable FRIENDLY * Lovely people ! Were so lucky to be local to such a great shop. My husband and i have eaten in when in a rush on the way out too and it was quick service and very comfortable

Fantastic A traditional Fish and Chip Shop. that knows how to prepare and cook excellent food. The service was polite friendly and most of all professional. Fresh quality potatoes cut and cooked to perfection I can't remember the last time I had such great chips. Golden Crisp and fluffy inside with not a trace of Oil. What a wonderful find in this great little eatery. If I could rate more than five stars I most certainly would give more. I will be back.

The tartar sauce was expired, it should have been suspicious when they charged 30p for ketchup but didn’t charge for tartar sauce. They gave us a lot of the sauce. The fish was bland and the chips tasted like they had been sitting there for a week. The scales on the fish were left on, looked mouldy, absolutely disgraceful! When calling up to tell them they had given us expired tartar sauce, they swore and were racist. Extremely disappointing customer service, would not recommend it at all. We’re all now starting to feel unwell. After seeing the expired sauces, we didn’t even want to eat the food, how do we know if the food was expired or not?! Avoid at all costs!!!

This place has been recommended to us for a while, and finally we tried the fish and chips last week. It was nice, you will get a big plate of homemade chips(not the commercial spongy ones that is served in many other places) which is I think quite nice. There are several options for your fish, we went for the classic one(cod fillet) and it was crispy and tasty. One star I cut because there is no card or contactless option which is a bit inconvenient for me as I got used to paying almost everything contactless nowadays. Bear in mind that if you are planning to try this place, fetch some cash beforehand.

Finally giving up on ocean fresh. Another bad lot of chips and £1.80 for a can of coke. OUTRAGEOUS absolutely fuming, its a chip shop ffs

Standard chip shop these days. Years ago when they had the old staff. I used to love eatimg from here. Seems like food quality has gone down over time

Ocean Fresh is probably the best Fish and chips shop in London situated in Greyhound Rd Fulham, their chips is always golden and the fish is fresh and the batter is very light. The staff are super friendly and helpful.

Fantastic freshly cooked fish and lovely chips!

Haddock and chips both really good. Haddock had to wait for a short while but having it cooked fresh was worth the wait and the chips. Could have had cod because it was already cooked but prefer Haddock anyway. Good portions and staff were great allowing me to sit and wait as I have mobility issues. Very happy with service, food and value for money. I also know they deliver. Top tip is put your own salt and vinegar on at home because it makes your chips soggy.

The owner treats foreigners with contempt, which is very ironic.

Avoid this joint at all cost, ordered rock & chips and a Fanta from these jokers. Charged me £11.80 for a lump of batter a minimum amount of fish, and £1.80 for a can of Fanta, needless to say they would never receive my money again.

I used to live locally to this chip shop and recently ate there for the first time in a few years. The chips were superb - maybe the best I've ever had. The chicken fillet burger was also excellent quality and definitely worth the money.

Been there many times over the past two years, food is good quality, staff is nice and friendly, I love the sausages in batter, never found them oily or soggy.

Just ordered food today on the 24/5/2021 everything was undercooked the fish pieces was raw in middle used to be great place this place has gone down hill will not be ordering again from this place

I have been going to ocean fresh for over 10 years and they have dramatically put there prices up to shocking prices. It's a shame because they do have good food, but not that good with the prices they have put it up to. Dont think I'm going back. Good bye ocean fresh. Your acting like your shops on high Street Kensington. Such a shame

When I order, I do not expect it to be delivered this early, I said to the guy you are one hour early, he said he would take it back, I said i shall take the order in case it arrived at 4 o clock cold and inedible. Please advise Ocean Fish to tell their bikers to deliver at the time requested by the customer !!!!

Had to call restaurant twice as was past expected delivery time and had no updates online, was spoken to very rudely by woman on the phone. An hour and a half after ordering it arrived, just as we were cancelling- food was okay, nothing special - customer service appalling.

Very much enjoyed my cod and chips 😁💯 food came on time, hot and well wrapped and sealed for you from the restaurant kitchen. Top marks to you guys and thank you for cooking me a lovely late lunch to enjoy at home in the rain. Keep up the hard work!

One of the best takeout fish and chips we have had in around south west/ west london. Perfectly crisp yet fully chips and the cod was simply amazing. Highly recommend the offers available and perhaps add an extra like the curry sauce....perfect portion. There is no waste nor leftovers....exactly want you want from a traditional ‘chippy’....#supportlocal! Guys be sure that we are going to be a returning customer. I usualy order at least once a week sometimes its more service has been very good there was acouple of times when my order was very late and my order was wrong but that was a while ago everything is fine lovely fish and a nice touch with the lemmon and tartar sauce

Have purchased from here before and always excellent fresh, hot quick tasty food. Unfortunately not today. Food just about warm enough, chips greasy, chicken not nice. Slow delivery. Very polite and friendly when querying delivery time however despite this sadly I will not be using again. Perhaps they have changed management since my last order? Food in bin

Ocean Fresh is one of the best fish and chip shops in London. As close to my favourite chippie in Hull than any other. And great value for money

Not happy that sausage was placed in the same container as chips especially when i left a note, as a pescatarian.

The fish was great and chips too but extremely oily!!! I had to individually squeeze the chips and cod in tissue several times but after that delish.

BBQ is a bit too dry, would have like to see how it would have turned out if small cuts were made on the breast pieces and marinated to avoid it being dry. The marinate itself is solid, chips were good and chunky.

Firstly the guy turned up one hour ten minutes before my order was due to be delivered, that was at 5 pm. I am a single person, the helpings were very generous, too generous, a lot of it was not eaten. The fish bar should give a choice of chips, I am not a lover of chunky chips.

The delivery man dropped my food as he was swinging it while he was on the phone talking to his friend. I saw him do it as I was looking for him as he rang my door bell and he didn't get to me. Is this the type of people you employ. My drink was dented, lucky my food was in tact as the restaurant taped it up. Not happy with the delivery service

I ordered early today and the food arrived no salt and vinegar (fish,battered sausage and chips) which for me is just inedible. Also no drink. I called the restaurant and the guy immediately apologised and sent out correct order. Which was very very tasty. Very impressed with customer service and will 💯 be ordering from here again. Also the delivery drover was lovely ☺️
