A special birthday celebration in a great restaurant. Exceptional service from the very attentive, friendly, engaging and solicitous waiter. Took great care of everyone for over 4 hours!

Served by experienced bar maestros We arrived with no booking and were offered to sit at the bar as fully booked Brilliant Would ask to sit at the bar again!

Lovely location, great food. Service failed to match the food. Had to ask on multiple occasions for order to be taken. Lovely warm evening, glass doors were open and very pleasant . 9.30 or 10 pm the glass doors were closed due to the license restrictions. Very hot inside the full restaurant. Had to request AC on multiple occasions. There is a packed restaurant and, we see a member of staff cleaning the windows outside with a long handled broom . One does not expect this of a restaurant of Sam’s calibre. Embarrassing and disappointing.

Lovely Sunday lunch and the staff couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. Very convenient for Riverside Studios next door. Highly recommend a visit.

Fab service, food and wine. We had the roasted aubergine, ravioli and grain salad. All looked and tasted wonderful. Great service. Can't wait to come back.

English sparkling wine by the glass at the bar is delicious. Very nice atmosphere and dog friendly. The menu was okay, I only ordered a burger which I feel was a shame considering the restaurant is so nice. The toilets are in the riverside studios so you may have to queue which is a bit weird. Waiter was lovely. Sparkling and Still water complimentary.

Thank you Sam and the team for another fabulous experience. The extra touch of the card and the ice cream cake for my daughter’s birthday made a special day even more so. Great food and service as ever, we are looking forward to seeing you again very soon.

Another absolutely wonderful experience. I had been to Sam's several times but it had been about 18 months since my last visit. I was taking my partner for the first time and I requested a table witth a river view if possible - we were treated to the best table in the house! Special thanks to our lovely Italian server, whose name I forgot to ask, she went above and beyond. I was stunned that you still had my food allergies on record too! Genuinely flawless, from beginning to end. My partner is a former chef and he was very impressed. Thanks for a beautiful evening, we will be back soon!

Very nice discovery, the cuisine is tasty with a particular mention for the guinea fowl and the lamb and for dessert the lemon soufflé is killer. I gave 4* for the atmosphere because it's a bit noisy, 5* for the service despite an order error which was nicely compensated, we really appreciated the gesture

Exceptional service, delicious, well executed food, a great wine list and incredible views of the bridge at sunset, a buzzy vibe and all at a reasonable price - would recomend for a romantic dinner, catch up with friends or celebration. So nice to go somewhere where it is so well done.

A mixed review from last nights dinner at Sam’s Brasserie. The restaurant is beautiful, and the setting is gorgeous. Unlike a lot of restaurants these days, they are not understaffed, so we felt very looked after on that front, and service was friendly and efficient. But I just can’t give the food more than 3 stars, sadly. I was delighted that they offered gluten free bread, but I don’t understand why it’s served cold, when it could have been toasted or warmed up. It makes such a huge difference to those of us that have to eat gluten freee. The nduja mussels were lovely, but served in a bowl that was simply too small for the dish, and offered alongside a bowl for the shells, which was again, way too small. The hot smoked salmon salad was tasty, but it’s the sort of thing I make for myself, and didn’t feel elevated to restaurant level in any way. For the price, the steak was extremely small, albeit delicious. Ditto for the halibut. The starters felt reasonably priced and in keeping with similar restaurants, but the main courses just too expensive in my opinion. I would have loved to have had a dessert but time didn’t permit. However, the options sounded delicious.

Absolutely great service once we’ve walked in the door. Lovely staff and amazing food. We had set lunch on a Thursday, such lovely afternoon. Shout out to the server who served us, such hardworking and attentive gentleman, he also gave great suggestion on wine picking!

Fab dinner place! Food was delicious, probably the best pork tenderloin I’ve ever had. We had an amazing wine, Mt Difficulty Pinot noir from NZ. It was only a bit loud, but overall the atmosphere was great! Strongly recommend

Came for Lunch on Friday 29 March for a joint 60th Birthday celebration. Friends had tried to book Riverside Cafe but fortunately they were very unaccommodating and we discovered Sam's. Such good service, friendly and very welcoming at the door and very attentive at the table. All staff were excellent. If I could 6 or more for the staff I would. Food was very interesting mix and also excellent and there were with a very good range of prices for the wines. Overall it was a very lovely experience, so much so that my wife and I are now going back for our 30th Anniversary!! Cannot recommend enough. Thank you to all the staff who made it such a nice experience.

Not just a restaurant but a dining experience! We started with happy hour oysters at the bar that followed dinner. The flavors take you to a next level and the customer service equally matches. I was blown away by the warm greeting at the front door, and the experience I had with the bartender Ross and his colleagues not to mention the waiters Amanda, Nathan and Joanna.. Everyone gave wonderful pairing recommendations. I would say highly recommend!

This was our third visit and that, in itself, speaks volumes. As usual, the food was good and the service was professional and discrete. We asked to sit by the windows and that required a table change. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble and we’ll definitely be back. Oh, dogs are allowed and they seem welcome with a big pot of treats !

Food and service has been impeccable. Staff have been excellent we had two exceptional servers named: Joanna and Lucia The location is beautiful right by the Hammersmith bridge overlooking the River Thames. The restaurant ambience is cosy and warm.

I had a wonderful lunch at Sam's Brasserie on Friday with a group of 13 friends. The food was lovely (we ate from the set menu) - super tasty and well presented. The service was very attentive (I believe it was Nathan who helped us). And the atmosphere was relaxed yet buzzy. It is quite shameful that I have been living in Hammersmith for years and have never been. I can't wait to go back!

You can opt for the baywindow tables, the comfy sofa corners, private 20 table, the bar seats, all overlooking Hammersmith Bridge. Delicious Tartare, burratta with toasted hazelnuts , impressive seafood platters. A decent selection of mocktails. Can't wait to go back.

A favourite as lovely welcoming staff, wonderful view over the river (spotted a seal) with delicious imaginative menu to select from. Highly recommend the twice baked cheese and haddock soufflé main, fellow diners much enjoyed the hake and ecstatic about lemon soufflés. Another very enjoyable dining experience.

I love it here. Menu is interesting and food amazing. GREAT wine list and atmosphere is fabulous, light and airy, could be in California. Sam and his team know what they are doing, a good restaurant needs a passionate front of house and Sam is that in spades. Don't dither on this one... just book it!!

Just awesome. We were in a major pickle as my friend had managed to book the wrong day and even though it was lunchtime on probably the busiest day of the year (Rugby International day etc) Sam was calm personified. We waited for a relatively short period and were accommodated. How, I do not know, but it was so very kind, especially since we had an 11 year old hungry lad with us as well. Food excellent, Atmosphere fabulous and service exceptional. Can't rate highly enough. Will be back and will tall everyone about it. Thank you!

Really excellent once again. Four of us came for lunch. £206.20 for 4...so about 50 a head with some wine. Oysters and burrata to start. Burgers really tasty. Duck salad - large portion, quite rich but nicely done. The Hake in seafood bisque excellent. Lovely soufflé for one of us. Coffees. Two glasses of wine two beers. Really good service from Amanda. Quite noisy but look...it's absolutely packed on a Saturday lunchtime. No surprise. This is the kind of place you can have a good quality Franco-British meal in lovely setting ...but it doesn't break the bank. Not that many restaurants in London like this.

Ate from the fixed-price menu yesterday evening. The food was excellent, the portions were generous (perhaps too generous!), the staff were very friendly, and the meal was good value. The restaurant is also in a lovely location, right by the river (the clue's in the name). We will be returning soon.

Fancy restaurant in a really nice part of town. Our waiter was very friendly, but the constant shouting of the sous- chef for every new order was not the background music we were hoping for. Yes, I understand in a huge and professional kitchen like this, you need to shout so every station hears the order, but we sat right next to it and it was very distracting. Try to get a table in the front. The food was nice, but you don't get a lot for these high prices. Sides are a must if you want to feel less hungry afterwards, and those make the bill even higher. I don't mind going to expensive restaurants, otherwise I wouldn't have made a reservation here, but usually I feel happier and with a full belly afterwards. I also picked the wrong dish with my "twice baked haddock." I did not expect some sort of mousse, which would have been great on crackers, as an hors d'oevre, but not as a main dish. My friend was happier with his fish (hake, I think?) which had a really lush bisque sauce, but also a small portion for this kind of money. What did jump out, however, was dessert. From what I saw on the menu, and what we had ourselves, I can tell all of them are absolutely delicious. All in all, certainly not a bad experience, but not a big recommendation from me.

I have moaned about Sam's b4, but they are only ever small items that if it wasn't for their consistent excellence wouldn't B a thing. They do one of the best Sunday roasts around....always good tender meat, crispy roasts, and cauliflower cheese.

We have been to Sam’s on several occasions and have always had an excellent experience. The food is high quality and well presented however it is the service that we always remember. The team are always really welcoming and appear to be enjoying what they are doing which creates a great atmosphere. The location is great too and we love the fact that our small dog is always made very welcome.

An ideal location for us to meet friends (a 10 minute walk from Hammersmith tube). Welcoming and attentive staff. Nice decor. Great cocktails and a varied menu catering for all tastes. A good spot for a special occasion. Been before and we’ll def come again.

We went to Sam’s River for Christmas dinner. Food was tasty and with decent size. Service was good and the view next river is amazing.

Sam’s riverside is situated in a fantastic spot looking right across the river and towards Hammersmith Bridge. The service is excellent & the food is perfection. This is our new go to spot for any special occasion.

First time visitors and very pleased we took the recommendation from a friend. Great venue for Lunch and was so pleased with every aspect of the experience. Friendly and professional service with excellent food and extensive, reasonably priced wine list. The Rioja Blanco hit the spot and went very well with lunch. Loved the Shetland Mussels and followed with the Confit Duck Leg Salad. Both perfect. Many thanks to the team for making it a very special lunch.

I have lived in SW London many, many years and am critical about bad places but respect good places. It was my son's birthday today. I have been to Brasserie Blanc and the River Cafe. Objectivelyat Sams; atmosphere-better; service better; food quality better; prices-as they should be for such a location but not obscene. Amanda from Brazil was our waitress. I'm from Yorkshire so I realise false smiles from true smiles. Excellent waitress. All 3 of us "loved" her. Made it magic. The restaurant had "soul". It wasn't just dishing out food with pretend smiles. In my humble view-Sam's is a place I would love to eat in. The others-a simple mention to friends. Thank you Sam. I'll be back.

Great place before a show at the Apollo Hammersmith. I’ve only been in colder winter months but imagine the summer riverside views would be lovely too. Wine list is incredible!Great collection of small plates. Truffle burrata was the winner !

My husband booked dinner at Sam’s to celebrate his Birthday day. No fuss just dinner… however I wanted to make it a bit special so I called few day in advance to see if we could have a cake or if I should provide my own ones. They were amazing! Not only they provided me with an outstanding cake ( real patisserie) but they also went to the extra mile to give us one of the best table ( I didn’t ask for it) and the service Lucia and Tanmoy gave us were super special, attention to every details and requests. It was a memorable evening for my husband, me and the children. Thank you Sam for such a wonderful place to dine without going to central London and for your wonderful staff ( all of them really) the atmosphere was great and we felt very spoiled.

A fixed stop on our trips to London, it never disappoints with its excellent food, the accuracy of the service and the hospitality of the staff. Delicious food, upmarket but not pretentious atmosphere, great location on the riverfront near Hammersmith. Better than the river cafe next door in my humble opinion! The crab toasts to start were the stand out. Not to be missed! The duck salad was huge. Hake bisque was good but the confit leek was a bit bland for me. Will choose the haddock soufflé next time! Can’t go wrong either fries. Both of our wines were excellent too. Plus, on the code app if you’re in hospitality! Will be back. (They also do a set menu 5-6pm which is excellent value for the quality). Oh and the service was faultless. Our glasses never empty!

We had a pre Valentine dinner date here. A lovely restaurant set beside the Thames! The interior is pretty and romantic. The food is art here. It tastes, smells and looks amazing! Our hostess was so friendly. We are definitely coming back for a lunch date soon.

Outstanding service in Sam's Riverside for a family birthday lunch on a grey February day.. This warm, welcoming, light-filled room in the new trendy Brentford area deserves its plaudits. Imaginative in concept and in menu choices, it deserves to be the focal point of foodies and locals alike.

Booked last minute and sat at the bar, the food was delicious and our bar tender was fantastic! The service was overall attentive. Recommend the refreshing sea bream ceviche and succulent and flavoursome pork tenderloin with mushroom sauce. The riverside location of the restaurant makes for a lovely walk and there are a couple of good pubs nearby as well.

Lunch ensued with bite-size crab on delicious soft bread and naughty churros sprinkled with parmesan; the latter a very novel and moreish appetiser. A grilled native lobster was well-cooked, but had a little too much butter and there’s only so much of a good thing that I like to flirt with before collapsing into a sea of cholesterol.

Exquisite simplicity next to the river. All dishes were the best version of themselves. Oysters, soufflés, pork tenderloin and everything else we tried made for an unforgettable experience!

We booked the private room for a lunch birthday party for 16, plus 2 babies. Great organisation, very good service, excellent food and wine. Very responsive and everything was pretty perfect. Not cheap, but good value. Would do again.

We had the parmesan churros, crab toast, beef cheek croquettes, cheese soufflé and guinea foul, and would absolutely recommend. One of the best meals we've had in a while. I'm a regular diner at Sam's Riverside brasserie. Starting from the beginning the reception staff know what they are doing. Even if they are full if you let them know you'll be done and gone by a certain time they will fit you in. That kind of thinking is rarely seen. The last master of this was Tim Brice at Kensington Place back in the 1990's. It's much easier to say "sorry we're full" than to think in the best interests of the customer, the staff and the restaurant and fit people in. The staff behind the bar are unfailingly polite, helpful and friendly. In a word charming. If you're offered a place at the bar to eat take it. They are great. The waiting staff are as good as Corbin and King staff at their peak. If you need a side dish they let you know. There's no hint of upsell for the sake of it. Bottled sparkling and still is on the house and always kept full. Service is attentive without being overbearing or intrusive. Hat's off on their recruitment and training. Finally the food. Well executed thoughtful delicious food that is reasonably priced. No it's not cheap it's good value for money at the level it's at. There isn't a single dish that is below par and there should be no disappointment. There's a set menu all day on Monday's and I think between 5-6pm Tuesday to Friday. I'll have to verify that but you get the picture.

Great well cooked food. The lamb was perfectly pink. The duck salad was huge and lovely. We arrived over a hour early had a drink at the bar and they kindly managed to get us to table soon after. The staff are very friendly and attentive a lovely touch was free still or sparkling table water. Only gave 5 as I found the it was quite noisy as no soft furnishings to deaden the sounds. However will definitely return when in area again.

As requested when booking, they kindly sat us at a table near the window with fantastic views out on to a sunny(!) Thames. Service was friendly and attentive, food was top class, lovely atmosphere, & decent price for what and where we were eating. Special credit to all the staff we encountered for creating such a relaxed vibe, it made such a difference.

Visited for Friday lunch, having been to Sam’s several times and always had a good experience. Fabulous vegetarian options available, and fish options are always beautifully balanced and well cooked. We’ll be back again.

Really lovely food but some bread would have been a nice touch even some with the soup we ordered as a starter. After the end of the meal we were left for 20 mins before we had to ask for the bill. It was very busy but it would have been nice to be asked if we wanted anything else or would we like the bill

Best food we’ve had in London. The mussel starter was huge & tasty. Great place to celebrate a birthday meal. We were in food heaven. I had the pork mushroom ragu & my partner had the Cornish hake. This is a super restaurant. Of course it is not cheap, but we don't mind paying good money for fantastic food, great service and a nice setting. Tastiest food we've eaten in a long time! Strongly recommended.

First time here. Stunning waterside location, solid decor and exceptional food and service. The full package. My pork dish main with mushrooms was heaven. Others around the table equally impressed with theirs. Also an exceptionally good double espresso at the end. Hats off to the whole team making this happen. Will be sure to go back before long.
