We went for my mums 80th birthday and even though it was cold wet and windy outside the welcome inside couldn’t have been more warm and welcoming. The staff bent over backwards to make sure that we had everything we needed, they even put up decorations that I dropped off the previous day. We had the festive afternoon tea and had a lovely pugs in blankets followed by countless sandwiches with so many fillings, followed by scones, fruit cake, mince pies and a platter of chocolates and sweets, not to mention the unlimited tea, coffee and hot chocolate!!! We were all left filling so full and was able to take a big box of left overs home with us. I really couldn’t recommend this place highly enough and will definitely return again!!! Thank you ladies for all you did to make my mums day so special!!! Xx

Quite a new establishment in the area. Came in for a takeaway coffee recently, but didn’t get any food so can’t comment on that. The coffee was nice and they seem to have a lot of fresh produce on offer. Seems like a nice concept, I wish them all the best.

THE CAFE IS ALWAYS CLEAN AND TIDY AND THE STAFF REALLY FRIENDLY. ALWAYS COME HERE FOR THE BREAKFAST NOW AS THIS IS THE BEST IN THE AREA. HAVE OPTION THREE WITH AN EXTRA SAUSAGE, FOOD IS ALWAYS WELL COOKED AND PERFECTLY LAID OUT ON THE PLATE. THE PRICES ARE GOOD AND YOU CAN SEE THE FOOD BEING COOKED.

Visit this establishment recently after friends and relatives had recommended it. Wasn’t disappointed! Lovely cafe with buzzing atmosphere. My son and I order to full English breakfast, which came with toast and tea/coffee. Service excellent, food was delicious, freshly cooked and hot. Poached egg done to perfection, bacon was superb and mushrooms to die for. Not stingy on portion size and loads of hot buttered bloomer toast. All this for two people came to only £15….again excellent value for money. Definitely returning soon.

I don’t like doing this, but genuinely can’t give any more than one star. Visited following a walk on a Sunday afternoon and found the place about half full. We placed an order for drinks, a panini and a toasted sandwich. The drinks arrived but the food didn’t. After nearly 40 minutes we saw the large table that arrived after us being served sandwiches and paninis and queried where ours were. The waitress went to the kitchen and came back to tell us that they had no record of our order being placed, which was odd as I’d seen it being written down and our drinks had arrived. Although, the waitress apologised and offered to take our order again, by that time we’d already waited too long. As I went to pay for our drinks a middle aged woman appeared who I took to be the owner / manager and asked what had happened. I told her that our order had been lost and I was paying for our drinks before leaving. She apologised, but made no offer of reparation, which I thought was poor. To add to a generally terrible experience, when my wife used the loo before we left there was no toilet paper. I’m only giving one star because no attempt was made to make it right. Although we’re local, we won’t be visiting again in a hurry, if ever. My advice is to avoid at all costs.

We had the most wonderful baby shower at the chunky teapot for my sister. The staff are brilliant, very happy to help. The food was amazing, especially the scones served warm! They also provide games and balloons in a baby shower package meaning it was easy to plan. I would highly recommend.

Came here as the shop I used to go to seems to have closed. Was worth the extra walk though as a fair size portion of mash, tasty pie, and loads of liquor. Large mug of tea was excellent. Thanks.

8 of us had dinner on Friday night, we all enjoyed our food, wine, beer and cocktails. Once we'd finished eating they invited us to use their Karaoke and we partied on for a few hours. It was a really great night. Definitely going back for more.
