Mums & Darlings in Bexley

I popped in and asked M&D, my local bespoke birthday cake maker, if they could help with my 60th birthday cake and party. Not only did they come up with a great idea for my cake. They offered a full party buffet service, cooked and prepared freshly on the day and delivered to my local venue, which all went down very well with my guests and me. All very reasonably priced, great food and service, thanks for helping to make a memorable party. Steve.

Lovely place. Very clean nicely decorated pretty china scrumptious food. The fairy cakes were to die for!! Owners/staff were very attentive and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

Fui hoy para un bebé y fue increíble. La forma de decorado era tan bonito y las mesas estaban dispuestas con china, además de una junta vintage encantador chalk fuera diciendo "el Baby Shower para nuestra madre-a-ser fue un detalle encantador.Los bocadillos eran deliciosos y las tartas tan hermoso. Estaban muy bien en venir a top nuestro té demasiado!A medida que creó, vegetariana y vegana lactosa placas gratis con absolutamente ninguna molestia.Se especializan en este tipo de eventos, fiestas para niños, hacer talleres de vacaciones escolares (pasteles, artesanía, etc.) y así que volveremos!

Had my daughter's baby shower there on Sunday 30 April. It was amazing, they could not do enough for you, we had the whole place to ourselves and the sandwiches and cakes were amazing. Would definitely go back there.

Mi hija tuvo su fiesta de cumpleaños aquí y también a varios amigos partes también. Personal amable que el flujo del partido. Los niños pasamos un tiempo estupendo. La comida para la fiesta era de muy buena calidad, con mucha variedad. El café también estaba hermosamente decorado y la tarta de cumpleaños hecha también era genial.

Cumpleaños 6 de julio fue sólo libby mágica gracias a Jane y su personal en las madres y mis amores.Tuvimos una fiesta temática de Olaf congelados con una visita de la princesa Elsa que pasó una hora con la chica del partido y sus huéspedes. Mucho fue dada a este partido y cuidado y atención, si quieres algo especial para una fiesta. . . Lo recomiendo encarecidamente.

Tomamos el té de la tarde aquí para mis mejores amigos de bebé, fue perfecto! De principio a fin Jane era profesional, muy atento, servicial y comprensivo (especialmente con números fluctuantes). El lugar estaba decorado en un esquema de color azul y las mesas estaban siempre para establecer juegos y regalos. La comida era deliciosa, y no tenía una buena variedad de opciones para elegir podría desear una ducha mejor y lo disfrutamos!

Ayer tenía una increíble fiesta de cumpleaños temática congelados para mi hija y 15 de sus amigos. El café parecía increíble, y las señoras trabajaron tan duro para hacer que la tarde de mi hija realmente especial. Los niños se fueron a casa con su bolsa de congelados y pastel que había hecho durante el partido, que las mujeres tenían en caja y organizado muy bien. La comida era deliciosos, y a los niños les encantó su "adultos" teteras con su jugo. También pedimos Tarta hattie's de las mujeres, que se veía impresionante (mi madre es un decorador tarta de jubilados) y creo que el pastel era hermoso. Gracias de nuevo a las mujeres - nos encantó nuestra tarde! X

Aunque tuvimos que esperar unos 20 minutos después de la escuela para que dejan a abrir, era tan bueno, tuvimos un desayuno encantador y mañana tranquila, a pesar de mi niña como le dieron algunos juguetes con los que jugar, un precioso lugar para ponerse al día con los amigos

We had My best friends Surprise baby shower here and it was fantastic. The whole place was beautifully decorated as soon as we sat down we were served tea and soft drinks then a selections of sandwiches on Brown & white bread, followed by some of the nicest Scones i have ever eaten and to top it off some mini cakes:) everything was so fresh and home made and nicer than many teas I have been to at double the cost! I would highly recommend for any private parties will certainly be returning!

We have now been to three separate patties here. The staff are wonderfully welcoming and engaging, they decorate the room in tune with the theme and then devise some amazing craft or games to keep the children amused. I wish I had just 10% of their talent.If you are looking for a fab place for a party, just leave it to the professionals, you won't be disappointed.

Cleanliness, atmosphere, locality, it is very quaint and different and great fun.The food is lovely a great variety is on offer.....children just love it. The décor is great.

I attended a baby shower at Mums and Darlings yesterday afternoon. The whole place was beautifully decorated and well organised. As soon as we sat down we were served tea/ coffee and the treats started coming!! A lovely selection of sandwiches on brown and white bread, mini cupcakes (one even came with a baileys pippet that you injected into the cake), scones and the most amazing lemon drizzle cake! We were constantly topped up on tea, sandwiches and cake, which was lovely. the ladies in the shop were very friendly and I would definitely recommend for baby showers and/or people with Young children.Thanks Mums and Darlings!

Popped into this lovely little cafe today and was surprised at how quickly we were seated as it was extremely busy with mums and little ones in pushchairs. Had the chicken, bacon and mozzarella panini and it was to die for!! Can't wait to come back again for lunch and sample another delight from their Saints and Sinners menu.

A huge thank you to all the staff for my beautiful baby shower, the food, cakes and decorations were super. Love to pop in for a cuppa and bite to eat with friends. Lots of space for prams/buggy and changing facilities for babies. Staff are so lovely and friendly and amazing cake maker!! x

Considering this cafe is meant to be for families, it isn't great for buggy access, especially for the tiny garden. We also had to walk through a wall of smoke from staff / customers having cigarettes outside near the entrance. Staff were friendly but I'm not in a rush to go back there again.

Came here for high tea. Staff were very friendly and attentive and the food was lovely. They are fantastic with children! I have also had a birthday cake that was ordered from here and have to say it was the best chocolate cake I have ever had in my life :-)

Not a restaurant review but I ordered a cake for my son-in-laws birthday and just had to report how fantastic it was. The cake was made to our specification and looked amazing but when you actually ate it, words cannot describe how delicious it was. Everyone said it was the best cake they had ever tasted! If you have a special occasion and what a handmade cake, this is the place to go to order it.

We visited this cafe for lunch and really enjoyed the freshly made food. We then decided to hold our friends baby shower here and they done an amazing job. You certainly got the "wow" factor when you walked through the door - and that was before eating the lovely sandwiches and fresh cakes & scones. Jane and the team are so friendly, nothing is too much trouble.

Great place to come for a family friendly atmosphere and really tasty cakes. The ladies that run the café are helpful and friendly and their childrens parties and birthday cakes are fantastic.

every cake and sandwich is special and the service is just great, a really cheerful experience and real china cups just make the whole experience special, well done to the ladies running this great little café

I have only recently found this little gem but it is definitely somewhere I will recommend to friends.Excellent coffee and tea and AMAZING cakes. Perfect setting for the little ones too, with an outdoor space and chalkboards.Baby gate at the entrance to keep the children in.We had my son's second birthday party at Mums & Darlings and it was beautiful. The staff went to such effort to decorate the venue in the right theme and the food and cakes were delicious. People ask me where the birthday cake came from and I am more than happy to recommend!Mums & Darlings also do themed afternoons/evenings on a ticketed basis. I am looking forward to my first event there next month. I know it will be excellent value for money!I love this place!

Great place for a cup of tea out of a China cup and a delcious home made cake.Staff are friendly and the atmosphere is a homely one. Great place to take the children and have what a call a real birthday party (not one in a big room where the kids run wild). The ladies make each child's party very special to them.The craft days are great too.

A great spot for a catch up. Really lovely set up and lay out/decor. The Staff are extremely friendly and accommodating, the service was superb. They use gorgeous vintage china cups etc.. for a proper pot of tea . The food was excellent and the portions were generous. Extremely reasonably priced too. can't wait to return and bring my darlings. Thank you from a couple of happy mummies!

If you really appreciate the taste of fresh, homemade, mouth watering cake then this is the place for you. A good selection of cakes and cupcakes washed down with a speciality coffee. Bliss

Great place to lunch or take the children for a hot chocolate. Kids craft days are fab too. Food is great, very reasonable & the cakes are divine! Nothing is ever too much trouble for the ladies that work here & children are always very welcome x

we first started going there on a weds morning for kids crafts before going nursery, the ladies are so good with the kids and nothing's too much trouble. Great food great value!

Lovely little coffee shop, they had crafts for the kids when I went and you would think it would be chaos but it's so well organised it was like the kids weren't even there! Plus it meant I got to sit and eat my bacon roll in peace! Cakes are amazing too!! Will visit again. And again. And again :)

I booked a one direction birthday cup cake making party and all the girls enjoyed it so much that I booked a holy communion party for two weeks later. Absolutely brilliant....the ladies decorated the shop beautifully. Also best BLT sandwich ever.

My daughter had her birthday party here with Frozen theme. Jane and the team were amazing. The detail was great and food lovely. The kids loved it. They do different themes and the cake was delicious. Recently went to psychic night and great set up with cheese and wine and amazing cakes. Only problem is I work full time and don't get a chance to visit in the day.I follow on Facebook and see they are always doing themed craft events.

Very welcoming staff, very accommodating nothing is too much trouble from high chairs for little ones to rearranging tables to suit your needs. The perfect place for mums to meet up for lunch and a chat where they haven't got to worry about their little ones as it's a real child friendly environment. They also sell the best paninis ever and their M&D's luxury hot chocolate is a must, along with the carrot cake!

Linda, Jane & their family are very warm and welcoming whether it just popping in for a cuppa, cake and or sandwich, afternoon tea (pre-book) or a Childrens Party. I have used their facilities on more than one occasion, it's fab and very creative, nothing is to much trouble, they always go above and beyond with anything they do.
