Baby shower…..After a lot of searching this was our choice and it didn’t disappoint! Attentive staff, fresh tasty food catering for special requirements. Beautifully presented and homely feel. Toilet facilities clean and fresh. Fully recommend

We had the Italian themed afternoon tea and it was delicious! The service was excellent and the whole idea of the theme was a welcome change from the everyday cream tea. Can't wait to go back and try another theme which I was assured was coming soon. Was happily full at the finish!!

This is our go to place for breakfast when in Sidcup. Always get a lovely breakfast and good service. A must to visit if in Sidcup.

This is the most lovely cafe for breakfast/brunch/lunch with a real good attention to detail. Very clean throughout and very friendly service. High Standard of food and drinks available, I had a pot of tea with poached egg, absolutely spot on! Will be back.

I booked a festive afternoon tea with the chunky teapot but unfortunately due to sickness was unable to attend the restaurant, the staff were so accommodating and changed this to a collection the day prior for us, so we were still able to enjoy! Thank you - it was a lovely, filling, afternoon tea!

We attended chunky teapot for a baby shower event and it did not disappoint. There were 20 of us so we had the buffet style menu which included wraps, sausage rolls, pork pies etc, plus sweet treats like brownies, scones and we added cake as extra. It was exclusive hire so we had the place to ourselves and was perfect for our size. Staff were very helpful and made the place look great xx

I booked The Chunky Teapot afternoon tea for a private function. The staff were very accommodating to our dietary requests and food preferences. The service was excellent and the food was lovely. I would recommend to everyone, the kids loved their afternoon tea (especially the pig and frog rolls) and their own teapots of juice. The staff couldn’t have been more attentive or accommodating. I pre booked the afternoon tea to takeaway, and made the collection early in the morning, to enjoy later that afternoon. The presentation was brilliant, nicely booked with thank you stickers and a bow on the top of the box. In the afternoon, when i final took the opportunity to sit and enjoy this, i was blown away - it was incredible. I have dined numerous times and very high end places, and have found that as nice as the experience of afternoon tea is, it often has the odd sandwich or cake which is disappointing or not to my taste, which results in waste. My experience of the Chunky Tea Pots's Afternoon tea, far exceeded my expectations. The selections of sandwich fillings were sublime, and each variety of cake was moist and very tasty!!! Thank you so much, i will definitely be back!!

We had a really lovely time at the Chunky Teapot today . We had afternoon tea for 8 adults and 1 child . My daughter’s allergies were immediately catered for . There was an abundance of tea and coffee and we were really well looked after .

I organised my friends baby shower at the chunky teapot. So helpful on email when arranging. The inside decor is really pretty. It was all ready on arrival and they allowed us to bring some extra decorations and set up before everyone arrived. We had afternoon tea over the weekend and we had the place to ourselves. The sandwiches, cakes and scones were so fresh and tasty. Plenty of tea/coffee & hot choc constantly refilled! The staff were friendly and really helpful with dietary requirements. We was given boxes to take home anything we couldn’t squeeze in. Brilliant venue and service would really recommend thank you x

Lovely venue and friendly staff. We opted for the buffet package which had great variety. The venue comfortable accommodated 25 people. Ideal for baby showers and other private gatherings. The only thing I wish we would have had was a little more time as 2 hours goes very quick!

I looked online locally for a takeaway afternoon tea and found absolutely nowhere near me, except The Chunky Teapot. Having perused the menu it looked as if it would fit the bill, so I e mailed and ordered takeaway afternoon tea for 4. When I popped in to pay I asked for some slight diet variations which they were happy to deal with. My friend collected the food in 2 prettily tied boxes. Upon opening we were delighted to find a really lovely tea - vol-u-vents, mini rolls & wraps, giant scones with cream and jam, a wicked slice of cake each and baby macaroons, washed down with a choice of elderflower, raspberry lemonade or rhubarb & ginger cordial. Sadly, I & my friends ran out of tummy space before we reached the cakes but they looked delicious & I'm sure will be eaten up.All of us thoroughly enjoyed our tea, and I'm sure I will order again.

Ordered and collected several different boxes for afternoon tea, also required a nut free selection. Can only say how perfect it was, there was more than enough for our family and a great selection. Made a nice change to have little rolls instead of sandwiches, the cakes and scones were so light. We really enjoyed the food and were more than full with quite a bit left over, which we obviously finished off later. Just wanted to say thank you, and would highly recommend. Can’t wait to visit when you can open and gave people in.

My Mother’s Day afternoon tea has arrived. What a surprise and it looks so delicious, beautifully laid out and what a lovely idea. My daughter lives quite a distance so it was a great present. All homemade cakes, scones, chocolates, fudge and biscuits with Happy Mother’s Day iced on them. I would certainly recommend using Chunky teapot for a celebration.

The lolvey people had it all waiting for me to collect when I turned up. It was all very well presented and well made couldn't fault it. It was very nice and well priced. Visited Saturday for an afternoon tea for my mum’s birthday. Fabulous service. Food was delicious. Scones were huge, warm and light. There was so much we couldn’t eat all of it so were given boxes to take home. Staff were very accommodating with my little girl who preferred to choose from the children’s menu. Service complete with a phone call to say we’d left a top in the restaurant. Thank you so much. It made my mum’s birthday. Highly recommend for a Christmas pick me up! Terrible. Rude service. Attended yesterday with my partner ordered two coffees and cakes asked for a tap water which the waitress agreed to. The larger lady the shouted over “we don’t do tap water, you can buy bottled water”. False economy, awful for the environment and just plain rude! Ended up leaving and going to a much more friendly cafe for coffee, cake and tap water. I’ll never go back and I’ll be sure to tell all my friends and family to avoid like the plague! Hydrate before you caffeinate!

I ordered Afternoon Tea for Mum and I to enjoy during Lockdown in the garden.It was delivered free of charge promptly as promised. Mum and I both thoroughly enjoyed the fresh and tasty sandwiches, wraps and vol-au-vents. Beautiful fresh cakes, macaroons and chocolates as well as delicious scones with cream and jam. We had afternoon tea at home today. Collected from the Chunky teapot. Very good fresh tasty sandwiches and savouries. Lovely scones and cakes. Made a real change having this in the garden at such a strange time.Good value for money, will certainly do it again and recommend it to others to try it.

Treated to afternoon tea delivered FREE of charge from here today to celebrate VE day. Absolutely delicious, fresh and full of flavour and variety. What can I say other than perfect, I ordered this afternoon tea at short notice due to lockdown and it being my daughters 21st Birthday.

I’ve never been to the actual cafe but I had seen and advert on Facebook that they would deliver afternoon tea whilst we are on lockdown. I emailed them and I got a response straight away I called the next day to arrange a time and to pay. Saturday arrived and so did our afternoon tea and it was delicious. Well done chunky teapot for brightening up our day at a very strange time we are all experiencing. Thank you and stay safe.

I visited The Chunky Teapot for my friends baby shower and I must say I have never recieved such a rude, unfriendly, unwelcoming service... ever! As soon as we stepped foot in the door we had issues. A member of our party called ahead of our booking twice to give numbers and also inform the staff that babies would be attending. When we arrived they were not happy to see two pushchairs and when a third arrived the larger lady with dark hair and classes (sorry I didn't get names, as as I said previously every member of staff was unapproachable and rude) took great delight with a smirk on her face saying 'we are only allowed to push chairs at a time so you will have to decide which one goes outside.' A member of our party was arriving late and not having afternoon tea, (they would be ordering and sandwich or something light) a member of staff informed us that this was not acceptable and either everyone has afternoon tea or not.

Lovely Cafe/coffee house. We called in after a walk round Sidcup Glade. It was packed which is always a good sign. Fast service and good cakes

If you are looking for a quaint tea shop in Sidcup, this is the only place to visit. Staff are warm and welcoming and the choice of food and drink excellent, with an more enticing selection of homemade cakes too tempting too ignore. Worth a visit.

Came across this place on a visit to the area with time to kill, and how happy was I?! Lovely, comfortable cafe backed up with friendly service. Without a doubt I’ll be paying a visit next time I am in the area.

The Chunky Teapot is such a lovely little cafe! I love going there for coffee and a tea cake with friends after yoga. The staff are so warm and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. I love the atmosphere and style, it's cosy in the winter and has outside seating when the sun is shining. Looking forward to trying more of their delicacies in the future!

A lovely little eating place which is very unique and homely. Lovely, friendly staff. Very good menu, lots of variety. We had gorgeous paninis, very tasty brimming with the ingredients. We had no room for cake but took some away as they looked so appetising and they were as good as they looked. We couldn't go without some !! A real find.

Reasonable Afternoon Tea to celebrate a 60th Birthday. Somewhat overpriced for the amount and quality of the food we were given. The scones were more like rock cakes! Uncomfortable wooden seats for elderly folk. However, staff that served us were pleasant. Not sure I’d return in a hurry.

I stumbled across this lovely little cafe in Sidcup; the decor drew me in, the excellent customer server made me stay and the excellent breakfast will make me go back, particularly for the delicious looking cakes. Highly recommended.

Took two young friends here for a light lunch on my birthday as they could not make my evening bash. We all really enjoyed it. The sandwiches are imaginative and freshly made, the various sorts of drinks all fine - I tried the chai latte and regular tea later whilst the young ladies had fruit crushes of eye appeal and excellence. A great local place to catch up with people. I visited when family were down, good to get out of the house and catch up with family members. Will now pop along to catch up with friends when we’re free during the day.

I visited the chunky teapot with work friends for a festive afternoon tea. We originally booked as a group of 7 but ended up just being 5 and I must say the staff were wonderful and very attentive, they offered to box up any leftovers which was a lovely gesture. I visited with my son for coffee and a cake. Unfortunately the experience was less than pleasant. My son wanted a milkshake and the staff proceeded to give it to another child, who then drank it. When I complained the staff basically said that they couldn’t be expected to know which child ordered which drink. They clearly didn’t have any plan to make another drink for my son and in fact didn’t do so until the parent of the other child offered to pay for it.

We came in for afternoon tea to celebrate mine and 2 of my friends 30th birthdays. The food was delicious, especially the sandwiches. The staff were very welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us. It was the perfect homely atmosphere for a relaxed celebration with old friends.

Popped in for coffee and bacon sandwich one Saturday morning. It was quick and efficient service. Only issue was it could have been better quality bread. However nice and peaceful surroundings.
