Village Tearooms in Bexley

We have visited the tea rooms on many occasions, this time with family. The corned beef and potato pie was yummy, as was the crab sandwich. Friendly staff. Good service and reasonable price. Would definitely recommend.

Such a great place to visit! There was a very reasonably priced, varied menu and our food was delicious! The staff were welcoming and attentive and the cafe had a lovely atmosphere. We will definitely be returning, thank you for having us!

Called in for coffee and cake. Very disappointed. Cafe was very dirty. Service was extremely slow. Some people left as the wait was too long even though cafe was not busy. Far too many dogs. Food OK but disappointing.

Dog friendly and Human friendly response at this wonderful tea room.Cakes outstanding and the gentleman who served is so kind. It's always our snack stop when we have a break from the shore.

We arrived without a reservation during a very busy lunch service. Fortunately for us, we were quickly seated with our two Labrador dogs on the last free table. Lovely lunch of fresh crab sandwiches and probably the very best coffee and walnut cake I’ve ever eaten.

Fast service, ordered 2 scones, and drinks, drinks were nice and hot, scones came out nice and warm with jam and cream. Served by Beth and Jake, both well mannered, polite, overall lovely visit. Asked for their names and had a lovely conversation with them both, very welcoming.

Lovely little tea rooms, polite and friendly staff, great food! It's always special to drink tea from China cups. Give it a visit when in Alnmouth!

We love the tea rooms in Alnmouth and were struck by the warm welcome and perfect service from the three young people on our visit at the weekend. The food was fresh and delicious and we left feeling very happy and content. The staff are a credit to the owner.

Lovely wee find on Alnmouth Main Street. Fresh and tasty scones and cakes, good cafitiere coffee and tea. Obviously very popular, I think we were lucky to get a seat! Friendly staff, who also took time for a show and tell of a”stottie”. I’m sure we will visit again and try one!

Visited this little cafe after a hearty walk with my Dog along Alnmouth beach . The gentleman at the entrance was warm and inviting and was happy for me to sit inside if wanted even though I had my sandy dog with me. I however decided to sit outside as felt as a dog owner this to be more respectful . I ordered a Latte and a Bacon Stottie ( big bap) The latte was as smooth and velvety as I've ever had , whilst the Bacon Stottie was full to the brim with quality bacon and all in all simply divine. I will happily visit this charming and quality cafe again next time I'm in the area 😊

A group of 4 friends and a collie enjoyed the warm friendly atmosphere and delicious food here. Stotties, quiche, pie and cakes - all scrumptious with an appreciated treat for the dog. A welcoming place on a cold day in beautiful Northumberland. Thank you we enjoyed it very much and wish you a prosperous 2024! Will be back.

This was a lovely spot for drinks and food and hosted by lovely people. Will definitely be visiting again. Would highly recommend a visit here.

What an excellent find, great food and most excellent service. Eight of us managed to squeeze into the parlour out back next to the traditional range. All eight enjoyed a range of lunchtime fare. Home made and hit the spot.

Very nice and friendly staff. I had tuna sandwiches with salad and crisps. The bread was really tasty. My family also enjoyed their lunch.

Called in for some warming drinks on a cold day. A good choice as hale stones started falling shortly afterwards. I had a lovely hot chocolate that perked me up. Friendly service and contactless card payment accepted. The tearoom is not large, although there are more tables at the back.

Lovely ambience and service. Had a lovely Stottie with bacon and egg, had to cut in half. The coffee was rich and smooth, lovely. Pity they don't open earlier.

Popped in here a few times whilst staying in Alnmouth. Nice cakes and lovely coffee! Friendly staff and great service. It's small, so in current times not mny tables...but worth a short wait!

Visited with my partner,18 mth old daughter and dog. Incredibly friendly staff, couldn't do enough for you. Very welcoming and made a real fuss of our daughter and dog. Lovely food. Highly recommended

Every time we visit Alnmouth, the Village Tearooms is a must. Everything is homemade - the best quiche, pies you'll ever taste. I tried the bacon and cheese melt recently which is not a usual choice as I'm very fussy about the quality of bacon and how it's cooked. I needn't have worried though as it was a perfect toastie that melted in the mouth. We aren't dog owners but still love the variety of dogs that visit with their owners and given doggie treats by the staff. Such a cosy atmosphere both winter & summer.

Dog friendly tearooms. Huge cakes and brilliant bacon sarnies in the morning. Really made to feel welcome.

Fantastic food all served with a smile, homemade plenty on the plate, staff all friendly, soup, sandwiches and cakes all homemade.

This place is clearly very popular and during a sunny halfterm was turning away customers. It is popular for a reason. It is a lovely space and good, friendly service. Their coffees were decent and well-priced too

Stopped here for a cuppa. Lovely place and the menu choices were sandwiches,cakes or soup - nice and simple, friendly staff and an art gallery too!

Popped in to the tea room on our way down to the beach. I had a latte and a cheese scone, and my husband had a cream tea. The scones came out and the were warm which was lovely. Highly recommended the lovely tea room with the lovely friendly staff

We love it here - the decor is so cute (Kath Kitdstoneque!) and the waitresses are so friendly. The cake is great too and lots to choose from!!!

As two cyclists we are always on the look out for a good place to eat. This is a charming shabby chic tearoom delightful decor. The staff were so helpful, pleasant and very friendly and a good sense of humour!The sandwiches were really good and excellent value and the homemade cake too! The coffee is always judged by my husband and was excellent !Clean and tidy and quick good service

Después de un paseo a paso rápido en la playa llamamos a los tes del pueblo, nos esperaba para sentarse fuera ya que teníamos a nuestro perro con nosotros. Nos invitaron a sentarse dentro ya que era un día muy frío. ¡Qué maravilla de lugar un montón de pasteles encantadores y otras delicias para elegir. El dueño y el personal muy amable nos pareció nada una molestia. Sin duda volveremos de nuevo la próxima vez que vayamos a Alnmouth..
