The best butcher I've been to?quite possibly. Everything is just quality. I love their mighty pork chops sometimes with a bit of kidney. All their bbq fare is spot on, and their seasonal faggots are incredible. The cheese counter is amazing too if you fancy some up market cheese with bread and wine on your hols. Local honey sold too. So more than a butcher! Family are lovely serving and and it's now sons and daughters on the sign 👍

Love this little cafe. I can phone ahead when I'm on deliveries and Lesley will have my breakfast roll waiting for me. If I eat in and on a diet Lesley will also do a ‘synfree’ meal for me. Really friendly and clean, perfect in every way

What a truly fabulous old fashioned pub with very welcoming landlady Anni and her customers, especially Janet and Peter, when we joined in Quingo yesterday afternoon. It was thrilling to win the picture quiz. The room was warm and cosy due to its great wood burner stove. The complimentary sandwiches were an added bonus! Thank you so much for the welcome and will join you all again in the New Year.

Lovely place for coffee. Clean, good service, delicious scones, very nice coffee. The cakes looked wonderful.

A quick visit for a drink, we were welcomed like regulars. We were the only ones in when we arrived, and settled next to the fire. A few regulars arrived and we were happy to chat and felt welcomed by them too. Great value drinks and will be back when we holiday again in the area!

How Posh Pigs gets rated higher than this wonderful place is quite beyond me. Don't get me wrong, anywhere else PP would be the best in the area by a country mile, but MA's Airfied Diner trumps it easily on all counts. The ingredients are better quality, the atmosphere is far better, it is much more welcoming and the breakfasts and superb home cooked dishes are considerably superior. Plus they fry fried bread instead of boiling it in oil which is an abomination. I too would prefer china instesad of paper plates but you have to consider the practicalities they face in trying to keep their prices so reasonable vs. staff costs for washing up (only two max in the kitchen, and they work flat-out cooking). For food this good I'll happily live with that (very) minor popint. Everyone I take there says it is the best breakfast they've ever had. 'nuff said.

Lovely, quirky cafe with plenty for the children to do. Very reasonably priced, popped in for coffee and cake and spent the whole afternoon there. Ride on toys, Wendy house, books, tennis, delicious cakes and plenty on the menu for all ages. Very friendly staff and parking not a problem.

Went for lunch yesterday. As we normally do when staying in Southwold. Only difference this time was we lost Bailey beagle just before Xmas and this was one off he's favourite pubs. So it was abit strange without him. Had the pork chop off the special broad what was excellent and good value Also a scampi and chips. Staff are friendly and welcoming as always. Be back in August.

Good variety of food options on the menu and good quality food. Given the name of the establishment, we were slightly disappointed by the wine list, as it only had a relatively small selection from which to choose and the list itself was very poorly printed. They do however have a good range of cocktails, which were very nice. Seating upstairs much quieter than downstairs

This place was a really nice find on a March Friday evening for a middle-aged but youthful couple visiting Lowestoft. Our B&B recommended the place next door (pink neon lights, fishbowl look), not for us! But right next door is a 'proper' nice pub. Comfortable, clean, and most of all, very welcoming. As soon as we were halfway to the bar, we got a cheery "hello" and "what can I get for you, are you going to be eating" I'm a bit grumpy when people are overly (falsely) friendly. But the young man and young woman who served us got it just right. Left us alone when wanted, and were quick to respond when we asked. The food is simple, (we had "chicken in a bucket') but the portions are good (but not wasteful) and really tasty and fresh. We've never been to Lowestoft before and probably never will again as we were here for a very specific reason, but our visit to this lovely pub turned a 'functional visit to the town into a pleasurable meal/night out. Thank you
