All the food is home cooked from the scones to the lunches. Nicely set out with spaces in between the tables. Helpful staff and owner. Good place to go for their famous breakfasts, or scone and coffee or a cooked lunch. Inside the Barnby Garden Centre so that is another positive side.

So glad this cafe is open after the lock down. Good procedures in place. They have done a lot of work in the outside courtyard with three tables spaced out as well as inside. Friendly staff and cafe owner. Coffee is really good. The menu is extensive and good value. They have breakfasts first thing cooked breakfast to a bacon bap. They serve home cooked lunches which changes every day. They also have cakes and scones if you want something light. They are in the Government scheme of 50% off up to £10. Well worth a visit.

Pleasant staff very helpful. Didn’t wait to long for a full cooked breakfast. Free WiFi. Very busy at the time I was there. Plenty of room inside the cafe and parking outside. Worth a visit.

We meet at the Barnby cafe on a regular basis and always receive a warm welcome. There is always a good selection of well priced main meals changing daily as well as cakes and snacks. I really appreciate having such a welcoming cafe in the village. Staff always friendly.

Popped in for a tea and coffee as driving past and thought we would give it a try. We were treated to a warm welcome. It’s a lovely clean cafe. Nanny said the coffee was very good and reasonably priced. We didn’t have anything to eat this time but will definitely go back and try the food as looked fresh and homemade.

Every time I go to the Barnby Cafe I am welcomed by delicious smells of fresh cooked lunches being prepared. Oh the cakes they look wonderful but wouldn't do much for my waist. Always get a great welcome from all the staff and owner. Lunches are so reasonable especially considering it is all home made cooked that day. The owner has made some great changes making the interior welcoming.

Popped in today with hubby for lunch and it was lovely! We both had home made toad in the hole with veg followed by bread and butter pudding, and you could tell that both were actually HOME MADE,unlike some places when they say it's home made but when you taste it you can so tell it's not! Both ladies were warm, friendly and welcoming and we will definitely be returning and recommending to all our friends

Friendly staff. The interior is warm and welcoming. Meet on a regular basis with friends for morning coffee, which is extremely good. Everything is all very reasonably priced. The staff are always busy making homemade lunches. What a gem for Barnby. Plus point it is in the middle of a garden centre!

Always worth visiting if your coming to Lowestoft, very close to the town center with walking distance. The fish is best in the in the town centre, crisp batter and with soft texture of fish.
