Eat here often. Staff are friendly and food is excellent. Never experienced any of the problems that some negative reviewers have but have seen the staff deal brilliantly with drunk, abusive people

Great service and food will definitely return you can sit outside and take in the view the dishes are mostly fish but there are other meals for the non fish eaters

Fish was freshly cooked but that was the only nice thing about our takeaway. It’s the second visit to the shop and it was the same as last time. I won’t be going back, chips brown and stock together and pie had been nuked to a point that it could have been anything. Young lady serving was pleasant and efficient but standard of the Chips was shocking.

Lovely food as always, staff so warm and friendly. Had the homemade Lemon Meringue Cheesecake. It was to die for. I could have ate the whole thing. Will be requesting it again Julie Edwards-Shaw

We visited this cafe/restaurant whilst visiting family in clacton. They use this lace a lot and we took them there for breakfast as they recommended it. We got a table straight away. We got the menus quickly, we ordered drinks and then our food. The waiting staff were all so friendly and polite. The food we had was very good, fresh and very hot. It was a good price for us all to have breakfast and drinks.

Awesome pies, liquor is amazing, chili vinegar is cracking. Never had a bad meal here. Would absolutely recommend! Prices are slightly higher than my other Pie & Mash shop but happy to pay that seeing as the foods is to die for and always delish!! Very happy to urge you to have your meal there!! I promise you wont be sorry you did!

Good choice of meals with good value for money. We had the prawn sandwich Haddock and chips with home made tartar sauce and Cajun Chicken. All excellent highly recommend.

Great fish and chips cooked to order do very fresh.not greasy the batter light and crisp and chips were excellent too.would recomend

G&Ts hosted us for a private afternoon tea, it was outstanding. The attention to detail, quality of food and service was fantastic. We LOVED the mini banoffee pies and lemon slices! Couldn’t recommend the experience enough xxx

Called in spontaneously for lunch after a walk at Wrabness. offered a table in the bar as we had our dog , by a lovely young lady who took our food order . The Food came out quickly and hot , and tasted delicious. We were checked on to make sure everything was OKay with our food and if we needed anything else . We Will definitely go again , and would highly recommend, you won't be disappointed .

Tried this newly reopened pub and found it to be pleasantly refurbished, the new owner and the staff were very welcoming. We tried 3 starters on their currently limited menu which were all delicious. Perfectly cooked, well presented and very tasty. I can honestly say the salt and pepper squid is one of the best I have ever tasted. We can't wait to try out their full menu once it is in place. Lovely atmosphere and highly recommended.

Perfect location for a cocktail in the sun. Service was exceptional and friendly. Cocktail was to die for. Enjoyed our drinks we booked the next day for breakfast. Food was hot, fresh & tasty. Again superb service from another team of staff. Such a happy place to be.

We visited brightlingsea today. On arrival we went straight to get lunch. Food was a good price and delicious. We had loaded fries and panini and my son had sausage and chips. We later returned and brought buckets and spades, bait for crabbing, more drinks and ice creams throughout the day. After regularly using them throughout day for refreshments we asked if we could have some boiled water to fill a flask for my 5 week old baby for his bottle and they charged us for boiled water! This I feel is disgusting. The café was heaving all day and they must of made a killing but to charge for boiled water has angered me and truly made me think twice about using this café again as I think that is greedy.

This is the second time we have been here and the service is absolutely fantastic. The staff are very welcoming and friendly and the food is delicious. I think this place is worth visiting and we'll worth the money. Thank you to all the staff for your kindness and look forward to seeing you again when we are next down here. :-)
