An absolute gem of a place. Lovely staff and gorgeous food. Staff are so welcoming, and the place is spotless. I took my friend yesterday, after the anniversary of the death of her husband. She said it was lovely to see so many happy people enjoying food with family and friends. I highly recommend!

My family and I cannot put into words how amazing G & T is. Firstly the surroundings are calming, comfortable and the staff very welcoming. The food was cooked to perfection and the service 5 stars. Cannot wait to revisit.

We went twice during a short break in the town to this restaurant. The fish was beautifully cooked, the service was timely and friendly. This restaurant has a great vibe, there is a really positive team spirit amongst the staff group. This restaurant is highly recommended.

After a trip to Clacton hospital I needed something to cheer me up! We went to this fabulous cafe. The food was excellent, served on hot plates✔️ always a winner. Great service charming atmosphere. Can’t believe we haven’t tried here before will definitely be back. Highly recommended.

We went out for lunch on our 54th Wedding anniversary and it was an excellent lunch. I booked the day before and Susan reserved a special table that was easily accessible for my husband who is sight restricted. He really enjoyed his meal as usually feels embarrassed when eating out,but everything was presented in the best way. Susan also served our meal with a smile and friendly chat! This restaurant is really worth a visit and has an excellent selection of food and beverages.

Was in the area for a short holiday break and decided to have a day at Frinton-On-Sea. Arrived mid morning and was looking for somewhere for a snack. Heady for town and this place is ideally situated at the bottom end of the high street. Was a nice day and as there was a vacant table and chairs outside decided to stop. Ordered scone with cream and jam with tea. When arrived was very delicious and enjoyable. Menu looked to have a good choice and if was staying in Frinton would definitely have stopped there again.

Good food, service and little slow so knock a star off for that, but that said tasty food and good value, tables a little too close together if just 2 of you. Menu reasonably varied and coffee is not bad, not great mind you, could be a bit stronger, not too sure why it was so hot took ages to be cool enough to drink.

Unfortunately, we didn’t have a positive experience myself and my partner ordered our lunch mine was hunters chicken, in the chicken breast was a bone as you can see in the photo. The staff wasn’t helpful and described it as ‘normal’ and ‘natural’ no where on the menu did this confirm may contain bones and the only reason I noticed it because it felt sharp in my mouth. It was offered to take the drinks off the menu however, I didn’t have the problem with the drinks when bill arrived it had a white wine on we didn’t order. No apology, no real resolution just excuses. Wouldn’t recommend.

A truly disappointing lunch experience : venue busy but badly managed, staff poorly trained ; when enquired what was the vegetarian quiche - quiche lorraine ! Actually veg option was cheese and more cheese. Salad on plate was sparse and 'new' potatoes option looked lost on large space created for chunky chips. Reluctantly produced a desserts menu and then forgot to return to take order. Took up valuable dining space while we waited for bill. Never again !

We are new to the area but have settled in very quickly. Thanks in. I small part by the wonderful team at G&T. As a family we try to share the love around and support local businesses. However, we have to admit G&T is our favourite. Whether it’s breakfast, solo lunch or a full family get together with drinks and amazing food, we are never disappointed here. Great food, good wine, amazingly friendly and professional people. Keep up the great work. We will be back (lots).

We visited for Mother’s Day and had a thoroughly enjoyable meal. The venue is beautiful, the food is fabulous and the staff and service is great I have come down from Cambridgeshire to take my mum out who lives in Frinton and this will be my restaurant of choice when I’m visiting the area - thank you

Just had afternoon tea with my best friend for her birthday 🎂 well I have to say it was the best I had in a very long time the food (and plenty of it ) was just amazing I’ve never seen a scotch egg as big and the taste was something else! The staff was absolutely amazing and very welcoming 🙂 the atmosfere was lovely and the smell of coffee and yummy food just makes you even more special to be in there We will definitely go to G&Ts again soon! 😍

We visited G&T on Saturday, they were very busy but found us a table very quickly. I ordered the cod and chips , the batter was perfect ,light and crispy and the fish was perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. My husband ordered the chicken pieces cooked in batter with rice and delicious orange sauce from the specials menu. Both our meals were served hot , freshly cooked to order and served very quickly. The service was very attentive and friendly . G&T has become our favourite place to have lunch , the staff are very professional and ,even when very busy ,treat everyone with superb customer care .

Fabulous Christmas afternoon tea. Really well set up, beautifully presented. Lots of different choices and variations. Adapted to my dietary needs with no issue. Better AT than some of the more expensive well known places

Went here for lunch today for the first time and can highly recommend. Really lovely cafe with fab decor. The food was absolutely delicious and generous portion sizes too. Adding in the lovely accommodating staff makes this a place I will definitely return to.

Went and sat outside with 2 young children - the waitress who served us was extremely accommodating and made an allergy friendly alternative for 1 child so no one felt left out. She popped back to confirm what had been done before she brought it out too, which was fantastic, so anything could’ve been resolved before little eyes got excited. Thoroughly impressed and no qualms returning here. The waitress showed incredible professionalism and (assuming she isn’t the owner) deserves some kind of recognition from management as she is a real asset.

This is one of my favourite places to eat. My friends had come to visit from London and we went here for brunch. There were 6 of us ladies and we hadn’t booked. We were served by a delightful young lady called Mia, she certainly had her work cut out with us as we all ordered and paid separately. Customer service from Mia was outstanding, nothing was too much trouble and she served us with a smile. The food was excellent as usual and we will certainly be visiting again.

Sat outside in the sunshine 😎and had the best breakfast! Granddaughter had eggs Benedict ( perfect eggs) hollandaise sauce delicious, I had the small full English and it was plenty big enough with the toast as well, sausage/ bacon was from local butchers and was high quality, my two great grandchildren had the pancakes with Nutella and strawberries 🍓 ( they cleared their plates 🤣) as if we wasn’t full up enough we finished off with iced coffee frappes ( had ice-cream in) they were scrumptious 🐷🫢the staff are very welcoming and attentive,and the owner Laura is lovely and makes you feel special , can’t wait for the next visit 😊

You know that the cafe is popular when you have to book a table! We were greeted warmly and our order was taken quickly considering how busy they were. The food also arrived promptly, and the portions were large, so great value for money. The food was tasty and I would definitely come again

The dining area is well laid out, so that while the space is limited it is pleasant and does not feel cramped. The service was good and our order was taken promptly, even though the café was busy. The food arrived in good time and was very well cooked and tasty. Making for an enjoyable meal. Conveniently situated 200m from the sea front and the greensward. We will certainly be returning.

After walking along frinton beach we went down the high street to look for lunch and saw this little cafe. The food and drink were both very nice and for such a reasonable price for the quality of food. The service was extremely good and very attentive. Would defo recommend such a nice welcoming place

Fell across the Bistro when walking back from the beach. Exactly what we were looking for. Fresh and good sized portions. Staff were really a credit to you. Friendly, polite and knowledgable.

Came here at the weekend with my family and couldn’t have been more pleased. We were greeted by the manager Hollie, who was incredibly polite and friendly. I ordered the Sweet and Sour Chicken Chunks from the specials board and I was very happy with my choice. The service was great, we received our drinks and food in good time and there was no issues with anything that we ordered. The ambiance of the cafe was beautiful and you can tell the owners have put a lot of time and care into it. I would 100% recommend this restaurant to everyone. I will definitely be returning here to try different items on the menu!

The staff here are really lovely and it’s great for young children, but the food is so fatty and in my opinion unhealthy. I had the Fish Finger sandwich. For a start it’s served in a roll, the roll is soft and just falls apart to mush, which is exactly what happened. It needs to be lightly toasted .The Fish is battered and deep fried and the goujons are very short on fish and almost all batter , which is dripping in oil. My husband had the Chicken Caesar salad and the croutons were freshly deep fried cubes of bread , but again absolutely dripping in fat and tasteless . They need to take a look at their offering and see if they can’t make it healthier. Breaded Fish cooked in the oven or grilled, served on a toasted roll or ciabatta ,would have produced a much more attractive looking meal for a start . The restaurant has the perfect location, but sadly the quality has gone downhill since it opened . It was much nicer when it was Cafe 19.
