As a family we have used the regal fish and chip restaurant over many years, we visited again this week, the quality of the food was amazing and the portion size of the large fish and chips was huge especially the fish which over hung my plate on both sides. My daughter and her friend had Gluten Free fish and chips and chose to have haddock, they said the batter was light and crispy and the best Gluten Free fish and chips they had ever had, would highly recommend and we will definitely be returning.

Covid has caused a lot of problems in maintaining standards but by now I would have thought things should be back to normal. Tea used to be served in a pot and coffee in proper cups and plates for food. Now we have paper cups for tea and coffee and cakes are given out just wrapped in cling-film. No table service any more as you have to wait for your order to be prepared and handed to you. The food is still good but the whole experience is not worth walking the length of the prom. There used to be more tables and with parasols on the hot days - but no more. I think they need to get back to the standards they used to have as people will go to the new cafe's that are opening.

Authentic Pie, Mash n' liquor in Felixstowe - I popped in here after a couple of beers on the front - lovely pies, good old mash and proper liquor - knife, fork and spoon for the liquor, with vinegar, just like in London SE1 - interesting photos of England football stars and a bit of banter with the owner. All in all a great lunch and long may they thrive in Felixstowe.

I genuinely adore this cafe. In my family, our days out in Felixstowe are classified as single, double or triple View Point. On a nice day we might just swing by for brunch and then go to the beach for the rest of the day (single View Point). But in rainy February visits, we have tea and cake on arrival, lunch after a rainy walk, and after another walk we have tea and chips before we drive home (triple View Point (we have actually done this)). More commonly we grab a cup of tea and watch the docks, very entertaining, and then lunch/brunch (double View Point). The menu has everything you could ever want - great all-day breakfast options, fish and chips, and every combination of such items you could want. They have lots of extras and smaller portions as well so you can mix and match. The lovely staff don't bat an eyelid whether you're ordering fish fingers at 10am or sausage and chips at 4pm. Teas and coffees from a machine but a good machine, and we're not fancy. Tea is £1.70 which is about as cheap as it gets these days. Tea cakes, scones and muffins are nice too. We love it here because everyone can get exactly what they want. Simple things like cheese on toast are great for kids too! Good prices and fast service. However busy it seems we always manage to find a corner with a view of the docks, which is a unique dining experience. We have been fans for a few years now and will be returning for many years in future!

It came nice and hot, as in very recently cooked and not cooled down much, and was bang on time. Almost the nicest Calzone I've had, made from proper dough and topped with cheese which was a nice touch, I've had these at other take aways and they've been done with pie crust rather than actual pizza dough?! The inside was just right, not soft and chewy or dripping liquid out of it, it was even cut up for me, the only ones I've had better are my own home made ones, because I can use fillings more specific to the things I like, whilst being a bit healthy. One thing that could have been better, there was no grease proof paper under it, so it had a soggy bottom, meaning I couldn't put the box down on the table like you normally would have, but a quick use of the plastic bag the sauce came in soon sorted it out, not a big deal, but I'm puzzled why it didn't have the paper in there to begin with. So on the whole, all things considered, probably an 8.5 out of 10, and I don't give high scores freely for anyone hat knows my food reviews. Lastly on a note, the driver didn't adhere to ANY covid regs, so because of that I've given the Service Score a minimum as there was no care for the customer in that regard.

Stayed here a couple of times and found it nice enough. However, just had a message from them to say that my booking for July has been cancelled (due to overbooking). However, rooms are still available on their website. So, what they mean is, we've cancelled your cheaper advance booking so that we can make more money from the room. I'll not be staying there again...

Tried to arrange our engagement party here and is the worst communication and service from the event organiser I have ever received. Constantly ignored even when it got to the point of going into the sea you to speak to the lady who organises. Had to keep chasing for responses and in the end was just ignored and never got back to. Is a real shame as we really liked the cafe there but will not be returning after the way we were treated.
