The best restaurants serving British food in Rochford East of England

Our 2nd visit to this lovely cafe. The cheddar waffle topped with hot salt beef, poached eggs and hollandaise was delicious. We both opted for a white americano, such a good quality coffee. Staff friendly and attentive, we will most definitely be back soon.

I often cycled past this little place & the coffee has always smelt nice & the food looked great so took my mum for a light lunch & what great friendly service & made to feel so welcome, we both had panini’s which were lovely with plenty of filling & crisps & a latte, very nice & will definitely be going back again so well done Gossip staff X

Staff were so accommodating. Food was plentiful & delicious. Would like more Vegetarian options . Can’t wait to return.

A lovely atmosphere. The owner must be a decent person. Apart from perhaps selling the false grass that we walk on the Bean Machine and play area can not make a fortune Thank you Mr Geoffrey.

I would recommend, I ordered a 16oz rump med-rare and it was cooked perfectly delivered to the hotel ahead of time on a solid paper plate but the rump was very tough and chewy so meat quality not that great but still well worth it.

Placed an order at the till when the drinks arrived one of the cups was dirty so my friend took it back the girl behind the counter said in a sarcastic manner well it’s not that bad she returned with a clean one then noticed her tea pot was leaking had a crack running from the top of the spout to the bottom causing it to leak over the table so we called the waitress over who looked clueless and she took the pot away and wiped up the table but didn’t come back with a replacement after 10 minutes I had to go to the till and ask where the replacement tea was again the lady was sarcastic . Won’t be returning staff in there need an overhaul.

Been going for years. Never disappointed. Friendly efficient staff. Great fish and chips cooked to order. They do lots of other things too if you don't like fish.

Nice little pub hide in the corner if you want play Paul with the boys on their way out and work if you want

Great value for money. My friend and I had the pea and mint risotto with prawns. The peas 🫛 popped in our mouths. Very fresh. Ladies serving were very accommodating with suggestions. The service was great.

Have to give one star to right this review needs a 0% or minus button ...hower the staff are rude the food is cold and the order was worng twice and then burnt the 3erd time ! Avoid this place at all cost my dog food looks better! And probably tates better too
