The best restaurants serving British food in East of England

Stopped for some coffees after walking around the Broad, had 3 lattes they were theworst coffees, out of a crappie automated machine i couldnt drink it, you should have a proper coffee machine to run a decent cafe

The place is amazing very friendly staff friendly to talk to good price for everything quick and it a good place for a lunch break

Popped in for some lunch, clubhouse was freezing cold and didn’t bother to stop, waitress dressed unprofessionaly and certainly no smile

Great place with beautiful gardens and relaxed atmosphere . we attended a wedding and may see this as a future venue for an up comming gathering ourselves

El menú ofrece desayuno dulce y salado, varias opciones de brunch con motivos griegos (la tarta de espinacas es maravilloso), dulces y galletas saladas (salmón ahumado y queso crema o ensalada de fruta fresca, yogur griego con miel y griego), etc. También hay una selección de tartas caseras, brownies y flapjack. Localmente los granos de café tostados, buen té y chocolate caliente, son todos locales. También varios de los otros ingredientes son importados por los propietarios de café Yiannis y Jill desde su propia griego olivares y los productores locales griegas de miel. El café tiene un ambiente cálido y acogedor, el personal es muy amable y los desayunos y brunches son deliciosos. Altamente recomendado.El café pasa al lado de un mercado interior locales, ofrece una pequeña selección de productos locales tales como "Greengold" aceitunas y aceite de oliva, granos de café tostados local, vegetales frescos cultivados localmente, artesanías y tarjetas, cosméticos y productos de belleza, etc. Un encantador mientras navegar por construir su apetito por los gofres!

Wow, what a great find. Immaculate and stylish decor, impeccably clean dinning area. Excellent food, very quick service, generous portions and very attentive friendly staff. Gorgeous home made Tiramisu on the house for Mother’s Day. Couldn’t have been any better.

We had a lovely roast dinner which included homemade yorkshire puddings, loads of different vegetables and lovely gravy.

What a pleasant discovery! Popped in for a cappuccino and scone whilst waiting for car service and found really excellent quality. The scone was spot-on perfect and the cappuccino looked and tasted wonderful. Will be back soon with our pooches.

Small but very friendly Sunday visit, only holds about 16 to sit in, but quite a few people were coming in for take away, nice pies, good mash, and superb liquor, and the staff seemed very friendly, will definately return

My OH and I called in to Rossini's on Friday evening for a quick bite to save cooking. The restaurant is in a cordoned off section of the Two Brewers Pub, and although the pub itself seemed quite busy we were surprised that there were no other diners in the restaurant area. The restaurant area is decorated with artificial plants, vases and pots, and photos of Italy - it's not really flash but feels cosy and like a little authentic Italian family neighbourhood restaurant. Service was excellent, both of our servers were friendly and chatty, and despite being the only diners we didn't feel uncomfortable or unwelcome which can sometimes be the case. Food was first rate, again nothing flash but authentic and reasonably priced pasta, pizzas and main course grills in good sized portions. My OH had Arancini for a starter, I tried it too and we both thought it was very tasty. I had a spicy chicken, bacon and tomato penne and it was very spicy but lovely, my OH had the house pasta which he declared very good. We were both too full for desserts but next time we will save room! I do hope Rossini's gets more customers as they deserve to succeed, it is so nice to have an authentic and well priced Italian in Chelmsford instead of all the chain restaurants and over priced 'special occasion' restaurants.

Had a Sunday roast at this venue, all fresh vegetables, home made Yorkshire pudding I found that the vegetables wasn't seasoned, personally I don't like to add salt to my dinner but today I had to to add salt to give it taste, even the roast potatoes were bland, probably maris pipers which are not the best for roast potatoes, good size dinner

Huttons is a butchers. The lamb was very good. The pork, tasteless. they also sell cheese, pickle,jamsand all sorts of accompanyments,

order wrong no salad in roll. seems like no one knows who is taking orders. had a chap today got it wrong. Not the first time. they get a couple of orders and lady on hotplate seems very flustered.

Trabajo enfrente de la tienda en Peterborough así que voy allí de vez en cuando para conseguir algunos regalos o una bebida durante mi descanso. Carmen (lo siento si he escrito mal su nombre) y Alex son 2 allí que siempre son tan servicial y agradable conmigo. Ambos tienen una sonrisa que te hace sonreír automáticamente. No importa el día en que siempre parecen tan positivos y agradables para hablar. Y me han ayudado con las compras de regalos bastantes veces.

Another fabulous evening at the Village Inn. It never fails to impress with quality meals, good value for money and exceptional service. We love our ‘girlie catch up nights’ here, it never fails to be exceptional.
