We had a lovely roast dinner which included homemade yorkshire puddings, loads of different vegetables and lovely gravy.

Fantastic atmosphere with friendly locals and welcoming landlord. Good range of reasonably priced drinks and dog friendly. We will be back!

We went with our grandson for lunch. We had a warm welcome from the owner. The food was great and all freshly cooked with no frozen vegetables! We loved the atmosphere and will take up the offer of parking then walking to the river then lunch! Thank you

Stopped for lunch on a Friday after a walk around Tollesbury Wick. Friendly atmosphere with plenty of locals chatting. Seems many had pre ordered from the short menu so down to only two choices. However it was good food and drink. Note it was cash only. After 2 years of being encouraged to use contactless payment I rarely have cash but fortunately had enough to cover the cost.

This is a wonderful local pub in Tollesbury which has a great landlord Paul and friendly staff. The Sunday roast is the best and I cannot think when I had a better one. Looking forward to returning for a drink and another Sunday roast. Martin and Laura

Stopped for drink and ploughmans lunch after a 6 mile coastal dog walk. Friendly staff and locals. Good beers, dog was welcome. Lovely food. Fantastic considering all the post covid restrictions. Well done.

Open fire, cosy, amazing roasts, friendly, fantastic thoughtful landlord & good choice of beers at a great price. Definitely the best pub around🥰

Food was spot on, big portions And cooked too perfection!! Staff are friendly, so are the locals. Took our two small girls here for a roast today and visited family and it was perfect! Definitely recommend 👌🏻 *****

Walked in out the hot sun for a cool drink in the pub gardens. Quick friendly service and before long had ordered a roast dinner. They were fully booked but fitted us in as we were in and out. OMG the brisket of beef had been marinaded overnight and boy did it taste good. Just fell apart it was that tender. Proper roast potatoes and a lovely selection of fresh vegetables. Needless to say the plates were cleared by the time we finished. The service from Stacey and the team was first class. Nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend a visit.

Roast beef and pork cooked to perfection. Such a lovely welcome and attentive staff. The choice of desserts changes weekly. The homemade strawberry cheesecake was sublime, the best we have ever tasted. We will be back 🙂

The rib of beef was just pink and soft as you like. Had a mix of beef and pork and it came with 2 gravies! Lovely roast potatoes Yorkshire pudding and pimped veg. Very very good.

Not a pleasant place to visit if you don't already know everyone from the entire village. The pub atmosphere is cold, you walk in and there are just people staring at you if they don't know you. Definitely would recommend or go back

Great choice of drinks and all at a good price, friendly staff and locals. And if you can get in for Sunday lunch it is the best for miles

Fabulous blues night on Saturday followed by superb Sunday lunch top class service, delicious food attentive staff. I would highly recommend it.
