Had a Sunday roast at this venue, all fresh vegetables, home made Yorkshire pudding I found that the vegetables wasn't seasoned, personally I don't like to add salt to my dinner but today I had to to add salt to give it taste, even the roast potatoes were bland, probably maris pipers which are not the best for roast potatoes, good size dinner

I used to live in the area for over 20 years and my friend over 4. We decided to have lunch there for the 1st time and were so glad we did! We both had fish and chips, our plates were brimming. It was freshly cooked and the chips were big and fat. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Excellent friendly service in a lovely warm atmosphere and very good value for money! We'll definitely be going again whenever I'm in the area! Carol K

Stopped into the Community Club after taking a wrong turn off the A12 and ending up in the lovely village of Ingatestone. It was a Saturday afternoon when I arrived with the Mrs and I was delighted to see they were showing the football. The staff greeted me promptly with a smile when I arrived and escorted me to my table (covid). I was starving and decided to order fish and chips which came out quickly and was a huge portion!! The fish tasted deliciously fresh and the chips were thick cut old school chips with a healthy side of peas. Had a pint to wash down the delicious food and then had the Mrs drove me home. Was a great little find and will definately stop by next time I'm in the area.

Visited the club on many occasions and always leave a very happy punter. Attracts a friendly crowd of all ages in the community to meet, socialise, watch the sport or grab a pint and some quality home cooked food. Great selection of drinks, beer is always of a high standard. Food is lovely especially the fish and chips. The Christmas menu run over December is also highly recommended.

Sunday lunch at The Bricklayers Arms was lovely. A real homely pub with amazing roast dinner! I had the toasted chicken which was cooked to perfection. My husband has the toast lamb which was also lovely! Roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings meant we were so full!!

Food was ok but pricey. I've had better for less but the vibe was nice and the customer service was great.

2016: Situated in a beautiful setting, the pub from the outside is wonderful and even quite nice within until you connect with the staff who are just so damned rude. There is no restaurant table service either, collect your meal from the bar which could have sat there for a good few minutes whilst the flies settle and leave their deposits or be sneezed upon by a passing patron which was a recent case. Food itself was average, nothing special at all. The beer was OK but even that was on the warm side, why? The management need a good kick up the jacksy as this place could be a gold mine to some lucky soul. I'm a local and this is the first and last time I will visit this establishment until such times as there is an improvement to all of the facilities on offer. 2025: After 9 years, my wife and I plus 2 close friends revisited to try Sunday lunch in the hope that things had improved. I’m happy to say that they have. We enjoyed a very warm welcome with great service and a really lovely meal, and the cost was exceptional. We also received a free dessert as we all ordered the Sunday roast. We are planning another visit very soon.
