The best restaurants serving British food in East of England

I was on a cycle ride without a bike lock, so needed somewhere with outdoor tables where I could keep an eye on my bike and order a light lunch. I ordered a pint of Thornbridge Jaipur IPA and a small chicken shawarma wrap. Both arrived speedily. Value, quality and service all excellent.

As a 'Spoons go, the build is a bit of a standout, a converted old cinema it really is a nice art deco style building, it would make a lovely good quality restaurant and entertainment venue. As for the food, standard wetherspoons fayre, anaemic toast, more akin to warm bread. Good runny egg, shame it was cold. All in all you get that you pay for, where else can you get breakfast and a pint at 10am for under a tenner.

This was my first time at this location. There was ample parking although there was clearly some activity going on in the neighbouring field. The bar staff were very friendly and helpful as were the waiting staff. The food was delicious. I took advantage of the lunch offer having a BBQ Wrap, side and non alcoholic drink for £8.99. It was a delicious meal (I forgot to take a photo :( ) I would go again as I enjoyed my meal and the location.

We went into The Three Hammers Pub today & had a lovely relaxing afternoon, the food was delicious, the service was great & the atmosphere was lovely too, I would recommend a visit if ever you are passing ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We decided to go along for a meal … what a mistake! We chose the nachos. We were told there was no salsa but as we were having the beef/bean chillie, we went ahead and ordered. The meals turned up served in foil roasting trays!!! The food was cold. The tortillas looked like pitta bread cut into triangles and toasted .. they were soggy in the middle of the food. The guacamole was obviously out of a bottle! The sour cream was more like a runny yoghurt and again out of a bottle. The whole meal was disgusting. I do not recommend this establishment.

Este pub ha recorrido un largo camino. Es un pub tradicional que hace algo de comida, pero no es el pub temático moderno que está “vestido hasta los nueve” y trata de ser todo para todos. Una buena selección de cervezas a precios razonables y un personal amable todo ayuda. El ambiente es positivo y tradicional y los dos chicos que dirigen el pub trabajan duro para mantenerlo limpio. Lo malo es no poder llevar a tu perro al pub ahora que ha llegado el otoño y la cadena ha dejado de vender cacahuetes, un buen vendedor entiendo. Sigue con el buen trabajo.

Many gd memos esp.on karaoke nites, with gr8 dances&sings, with+without others, reg.karaoke singing !

Nice place for a bite to eat and drink.

Had large breakfast. Not the best I've ever had but certainly not the worst.....and for the price you pay it definitely sets you up for the day

Very enjoyable lunch, with a birthday voucher. As ever Alex and team very helpful. Food was excellent and portions just right. Definitely go again

Had an amazing time at the crown last night. Wonderful service from the moment I walked in. Marni on the bar was really informative and Sian who delivered my food was very polite. Would certainly recommend to my friends and family.
