On a funny note. Never have I ever experienced such a speedy service. Ordered a small breakfast on 244. Promptly served. Had a bite, went to coffee machine for a brew. And the table was cleared already. Made my morning. 😂

Very relaxed place, with reasonably priced food and drinks at the airport. Very large area spread over 2 floors, with a view of the runway. The buffalo chicken burger was spot on

Always a pleasure, especially in the quieter times: ample space, good food and great Wetherspoon atmosphere.

Nice staff. The runway view is "hm, why not". You can order and pay via their e-menu, very convenient. Very small burgers, beer without co2, and the price of a restaurant for a food like Burger King.

I have worked bar work for many years and never encountered such an ignorant rude member of bar staff in my life. After waiting at the front of the bar for 10 minutes and repeatedly being ignored whilst others served I decided to make the barman ZACH (apparently) aware they I had been waiting before others. He said it wasn’t his job to look left and right to see you may have been waiting and was so so rude thereafter. No manners and muttered under his breath about me to other staff members. Even others queuing next to me couldn’t believe the low level of service he provided. My 12 year old son would of been more professional

Nice atmosphere , but very bad and expensive hamburger.

Place seems decent. I think its more expensive than the usual wetherspoons in my hometown. Food was okay. Had the small breakfast. But the baked beans tasted somewhat foul. Like water weirdly

Ordered the Ramen from the menu, what I got was onion soup with chopped fresh chili, noodles and all the veggies chopped beyond all recognition, seasoning was non excistant, taste was non excistant and the chili was overpowering to the point where it was the only thing you could taste, and this comes from a guy who eats spicy food almost every day. It wasn’t too spicy, it was just the only taste in it, no use of msg or soy sauce or salt or pepper or mirrin or anything of the sort. Steer clear of this place.

Food was great. Service was quick and friendly. We sat in the upstairs bar which had a nice view of the airport apron. The dining area was very spacious. Lots of tables but not crowded. Nice and calm atmosphere. The only downside was that it was rather hot and not very well ventilated.

Great beer! The service is attentive despite the crowd. They offered me to sample some of the beers when I was unsure of what to try. In the end, I opted for guiness and it was really smooth, fresh, and complex

Great, Wetherspoon at the airport. Ideal for bridging the time until the flight. The prices are sometimes even cheaper than in London or Cambridge. Lots of space on 2 levels with a cozy atmosphere. Fast service processes and the ability to 'scan to order' via qr code at the table simplify things. Absolute recommendation

I can't believe that the best (and cheapest, under £6) beer I tasted during my trip to London was at the airport. It's true that the bartender who served me drinks ales herself, but she recommended the beer well. Unfortunately, I was in a hurry to catch my flight and I would have liked to have had more beers. You pay over the odds for a pint wrong glass a ale glass for a larger poor service I told them it was not the right glass and got abused from staff

Although it was absolutely packed out, once we found a table we got our food and drink quickly and efficiently. It is exactly what you would expect from a Wetherspoons, except it had something we didn't expect.... a host called Wyn who was walking around making sure everyone was ok, had what they needed and were generally having a good time. He was super friendly, very attentive and he made our day. Everything at Stanstead was hectic but he made us feel relaxed before our flight. A wonderful little addition to service ... we would return to the Windmill again over the other food places purely because of Wyn. Thank you.

We have fish and chips the food is good and they bring fast. The staff is good even you can see there are under numbers. Good place

This is where they send less functional spoons staff. Absolute joke of a bar service. Plenty of other (and better priced) place to eat and drink in Stansted.

Beverly and colleagues at front Superb. Putting herself out to seat wheelchair users, families with Pram. Combined with a cheerful banter putting folks at their ease. Brilliant!!

Great food. For a weatherspoons this was better than our local one.

My partner could only eat the freedom breakfast due to the allergens filtering out the entire menu. As the app didn't work, I joined the queue at 1058, waited until 1107 to get served to which they had to call the kitchen as the breakfast was finished at 11. I explained the situation and the chef and staff just said no as it's strict and that's they way it is. They then gave me the advice to filter the menu for which NOTHING was available. Very disappointing and hungry start to a holiday, shame on you Wetherspoons.

Extremely busy. Very difficult to get a table. Not a very pleasant place to wait for your flight. However not much in the way of options at Stansted.

The Windmill - Wetherspoon was a great choice for lunch at the airport. For two people, we ordered the BBQ chicken bacon and cheddar cheese panini, a BBQ burger with an extra fried buttermilk chicken, and refillable coffee and hot chocolate. The total came to around £32. The place is beautiful, the meal was excellent, and we were very full with the amount of food, perfect for relaxing while waiting for our boarding time.

We ordered chicken strips and chips. After a 35 mins wait, I asked a server as there was no sign of the food. They brought over the chips and said the chicken would be on the way. Another 15 mins still no sign of the chicken strips. I asked another server and after another 15 mins waiting we got the chicken. All we got was a small apology for the wait. They then nearly wanted to charge us for the mayo that was meant to come with the chicken. Very unhappy with this service.

More than twice the prices than in every Weatherspoon I have been, and I have been in a lot of them and usually like them very much. Just have a look at their breakfast prices. It's a laugh 😂

Lovely chicken wings and plenty of beer to choose from. Service is great too - I accidentally ordered food at a wrong table but staff was polite, quick, and helpful, so I got my lost stuff very very quickly and managed to get on my flight. Thanks!

I got the boneless basket it arrived with 4, not 5 breastfeeding bites, coldblooded missing salt, boneless chicken a little dry and not that spiced, the table was dirty ask two times to clean the table. Some staff are professional. Some aren't. Overall, I'm never coming back unless I don't have a choice

Almost £15 for this minuscule, so called double American burger, worth not more than £2! They must be laughing! Also, worst service ever. When asked for additional ice on my drink, the bartender literally added one tiny ice cube..... AVOID

If you fancy sitting down in an overcrowded sweat pot, then this place is for you. No air, stuffy, and hot like the rest of the airport. Biy the way not even a toilet on 2 floors!! You have to walk 100 meters!!!

£3.25 for half a pint of coke? Mugging people off, oh and by the way, the £3.25 half pint of coke was flat, dirty tables, unfriendly staff, thanks for a rubbish start to the holiday

Food is good but the staff are rude and miserable.

We were there at 5am for our flight to Skiathos. We struggled to find a table (yes, even at that time!), but found one eventually. Food not as good as other Wetherspoons, was a bit disappointed - probably because they have so many people to cook for. Water stations were frequently running out of glasses and were not restocked quickly. We ordered two teas and they’d run out of mugs.

I can't comment on food because we just had drinks but the staff is so rude and for some reason they told us they didn't have ice even though we could see them using ice for other people's drinks.

Food was decent and fresh. Draught beer tasted fresher than in other Spoons pubs. One person has to get a raise. A bald man, I'd say in his late fifties. He's been looking after everything, asked me if my food was good, very nice guy.

My fav dyner before a flight. The freedom breakfast with all the nice bits minus the bread gets me going. Today I am being spoiled by super attentive and friendly staff. Travelling on my own, they reserved a table for me, brought salt and pepper, and check regularly should I need anything... Feeling pampered

Don't normally review but would like to congratulate all the staff working here its the 6th August 2024 between 9am and 11am everyone very very polite and hands on , the older English guy clearing tables doing a great job , a plate smashed on the floor within 30secs had staff there clearing up wet floor signs out immediately, people like this deserve every penny they earn

Writing this review to give a huge thank you to David for his positivity and help during a pretty chaotic evening on Thursday 25th July. Our flight was delayed and he was calm, friendly and did everything he could to help us get a bite before returning to the gate. Card machine wasn’t working which was frustrating but we got food and drinks before David kindly let us know our flight was boarding. It

Scandalous prices… Flagrant profiteering.

Surprisingly fast service for a very large location. However the prices are significantly more than any other branch, even compared to the central London locations. When a breakfast costs £15+ you would expect better quality than microwaved food.

Most lovely staff, helpful and caring. Especially lady Fiona, patiently guiding the travelers to their gates. Also welcoming lady Victoria was a saviour finding the table in a busy hour. Returning here every time I'm traveling via Stansted airport 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Everyone at this establishment are fantastic, the staff all go one step further to make people feel welcome and this is exactly what Carl and I needed today when all the computers crashed. Sebastian was without a doubt outstanding as a manager handling difficult situations really professionally and Alex was amazing, very helpful. We have been very delayed from Ryanair and the staff have been fantastic. Wetherspoons is a great place and they have made this real pain so much easier. Tim Martin you should be proud of this team! Thank you Wetherspoons and your great staff!

Not enough tables, had to leave

Visited your Wetherspoon on the 28th June and everything other than the disabled facilities was exceptionally good just when we arrived the venue was understandably very busy so trying to fight my way through everybody pushing a wheelchair then to find there was no available tables and that I couldn’t order any food without a table number was very frustrating. so with Stansted Airport being so very busy most day of the year you must get quite a lot of disabled people using your Wetherspoon quite regularly so I would like to recommend maybe having an area at the front of the venue set out especially for disabled users to make it a more comfortable experience. but I do understand this may be very difficult to organise but even just a few tables at the front could change somebody’s overall experience when entering and make it more enjoyable.

The pub itself is really nice, but the open time on google is not correct! If you wait till 4am, you will not find a seat.

Although drinks were pricey this is an airport location so kind of expect staff were quick to clear tables

I visited this Wetherspoon when it was super busy, but the serving was impressively fast. Although it took a little while to get a table, it was worth the wait. The panini was really nice, and the portions were also really good.

So diappointing. Staff titally over Requiem to clean tables.saw Lots of people left . You have made a third more turnover!!The bloke who"tried" to clean ignored the floor,where nappues cans etc could be found. My table after 40min with rubbish from prevoius visitors..

Excellent selection of beers on tap and food was good. Prices were reasonable and cheaper than most London pubs. They could have some more TVs as it was difficult to watch the sports. Otherwise a great place to wait for your flight.

Rammed. Stansted airport is always rammed. The main benefit is being able to order on your phone. Makes life so much easier. Loses a star due to having no toilets nearby which seems ridiculous.

The staff here do a great job and are friendly but notably frustrated by the understaffing. There simply isn’t enough people at the bar to cater for the size of this Weatherspoons and how busy it is.

Quite delicious food, surprised for an airport run. They put in a pretty acceptable amount in general. We ordered the ramen (it was delicious but spicy), the fish and chips and the katsu curry. All quite rich. Very good option for the airport.

Great spot to enjoy the euros but can you please replace your tv upstairs? It’s like watching it through a waterlogged lens.

Not a bad place for a pre flight drink. Always busy and can be hard to find somewhere to sit. Service was fast and the food ok. Lot more expensive than a high street Wetherspoons but then thats airports for you. Overall not bad and always a place to go when flying out of Stansted

Nice seating area upstairs and decent service. However the food is an absolute disaster and so are the prices. Bought the most expensive burger for 16 pounds and got served what you see below. 21 pounds for a miserable microwaved burger and a pint. Best avoided

I've just had the most disappointing burger of my life. Looked and tasted like a cheap McDonald's burger but five times the price. Next time I'll go to the burger king next door and I'm sure I'll have a better experience.

The staff is friendly and the food is okay. The prices are reasonable for an airport. You can go upstairs to watch the planes and enjoy the view.

Food served in 5 mins. Table next to me got theirs before they had returned to the table with their hot drinks. It is a little more expensive than normal Wetherspoons. The large breakfast is much better value than the traditional, but you may also get a heart attack. Open super early. Runway view is limited to about 15 tables but you can see planes from all of upstairs.

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing David's exceptional service, and I can't praise him enough. His professionalism and expertise were evident in every aspect of his work. The orange juice is delicious, pure juice with ice. The ramen is delicious, with bamboo shoots and shiitake mushrooms, very fresh, and the noodles are chewy and soft, very tasty. The fried chicken was average, a bit dry, the fries were normal.

Generic Whetherspoon pub, very stuffy and hot. With it being in an airport, it took a while to get a table but we got there in the end. However the service was excellent and the food was adequate

Favourite pub/bar in the airport. Always busy, prices decent for the airport. Always go here whenever I travel from Stansted. This time ordered from the app, service is fast, staff engaged with my little boy and no complaints.

Normally struggle to get seating as single people are often occupying a booth. But Wyn has it super organised so managed to get seating for four with no issues and he has a lovely manner too 😊 food was cooked well had some terrible breakies at Wetherspoons before but all good set up well for our flight ✈️

Honestly very happy with the customer service, there was a lovely man who really cared and engaged with every customer. He makes you feel right at home! He is a great asset and I would like to thank him for his attentiveness, it was a man in a white shirt. Thank you! :)

Always can find a seat, the place it's huge, perfect place for a drink or more before your flight, food just normal standard, definitely the place to have a drink however can get better food somewhere else. Most likely the only pub at Stanstead that had Leffe for someone who loves a belgian 🍺

food not great, breakfast so poor and bread not toasted,you could see that the bacon was reheated like the sausages... the service is excellent if you have to drink, but to eat the "Chefs" don't put passion into the preparation of the food!!! I am sorry

You have to order at the counter and they bring it to your table, curiously they have coffee refills. Decent pizza, but extremely dry and flavorless burger. Of course, both expensive, but of course it is an airport.

Good drink and food. Price is a bit on the expensive side but it’s what you’d expect for an airport! Always enjoy sitting upstairs with a drink and watching the planes landing. Would recommend.

Wetherspoons pub in the Airport, good selection of drinks, very nice decorations, standard spoons manu, upstairs bar overlooking the runway, we had to wait about 10 minutes to get in, great place to relax while you wait for the flight,

The worst Wetherspoons I've been in for service. Staff standing behind bar are giggling and talking amongst themselves then serving customers!!!!

English breakfast, teasty and fresh. Plus good vodka.

Options are pretty limited past security. The Windmill has 2 large levels with large accessible seating areas. Depending on travel time it may be very busy. Wetherspoons app makes it very easy to order instead of waiting in line like at other airport restaurants. It’s still a Wetherspoon pub so food ok to decent, service is there when you need it. Nothing to call home about but you can find a quiet corner to have a bite to eat and wait for your flight.

Unable to provide toast after 11 for my young son, as 'breakfast finished' and toaster turned off. But when asked for bread instead, they charged for toast...

It’s a weatherspoons with double the weatherspoons prices ,chips not bad but the burger wasn’t the best..disappointing really but the upside it was really quick service

Our only option at the airport terminal seemed to be the usual suspects: fast-food chains and overpriced vendors peddling underwhelming fare. We opted for some fried items and beers, hoping for a decent meal before our flight. The meal part happened. Unfortunately, the "decent" part not as much.

Was not expecting much, both being a Wetherspoons and a pub at the airport... obviously there is people in there drinking at 6am, sort of to be expected. We ordered some breakfast (no children's meal options - but you can order breakfast sides) and some drinks. All of it was fine, no complaints. Food turned up quick, and we had unlimited hot drink option so we stayed and watched the planes for a bit. Certainly better than what I was potentially expecting!!

As far weatherspoons go, I would say it’s better than most. I would like to point out how polite and friendly all of the staff are! Fantastic service.

Always come here when flying out of Stansted, foods always nice and hot and good drinks choice. Menu is alot smaller than a regular spoon which is to be expected being where it is, but the prices have shot up since we last came; nonetheless it's still decent. Can be hard to find a seat at peak flying times but still don't have to wait long
