Asistí a una función de la RIBA el 15 de mayo. La comida y el servicio eran excelentes. Bien hecho a todos los estudiantes y gracias por una noche encantadora.

Stayed for 3 nights & enjoyed their Excellent Brekkie. Loads of choice of cereal, Strawberries plus a variety of cooked. I had the Large Full English & Mrs B had the Small Full English, with Brown Toast. More toast if wanted with Jams & Marmite, plus Yogurts, & served with Lovely Coffee (or Tea) & Orange Juice. An Excellent way to start the day.

We went here for my daughters baby shower. Wow, what a venue for the occasion! Beautiful private room and the afternoon tea was fabulous. The staff couldn’t be any more accommodating, they really looked after us! Highly recommend!

Came across this lovely place whilst out for a winter walk in Barrowden. Great coffee and toasted tea cakes. The cakes looked delicious too. The range of goods to buy was excellent - came away with cards, food and a magazine! Friendly staff ( mostly volunteers) added to our enjoyment. Highly recommended and well worth supporting.

Just had a very nice Café Americano and a very generous slice of Choc Chip Shortbread which was very tasty, light and of course made with butter. Would like to leave a photo but it would be of an empty plate!

A coffee shop with 14th century origins - lovely coffee and cakes. Then a BONUS, we were treated to a tour of the Victorian theatre which is attached to the coffee shop building. This a gem of a building just waiting to be renovated. Jo, our guide, was excellent. Passionate about the building and the people who have passed through its doors, she gave us a fantastic tour. Many thanks and good luck with the project. We'll be back.

This place is a little gem! Dropped in on a wet Wednesday and was told about their latest creation, The Cuban Sandwich with Mojo sauce. Wow! It’s got, ham, pulled pork, cheese, pickles, mustard, and I don’t know what else! But it was simply delicious. All the elements combined beautifully to create this culinary masterpiece. The coffees were great too. I also love their attention to detail, everything was beautifully presented and the take-away packaging is environmentally friendly. If I pass through Newark again, I’ll definitely make a bee-line for The Loft.

What can one say about Caffe Velo Verde other than it has become a cyclists mecca. Easy to order food and drink. The outside seating is perfect on a sunny day, and there is covered and indoor seating. We couldn't recommend it or the owners more highly. It is a grand place to aim for on a cycling trip for relaxing, refreshing, and then riding out renewed. I particularly recommend the sausage baps with brown sauce 😋🚴♀️🚴🚴♀️🚴🚴

We first visited The Bluebell Inn, Lound circa 6 years ago. It was that good we have made it a regular visit. 4 years ago we were disappointed to hear that there was to be a change of management. Fortunately, our fears were totally unfounded, some how the current team have managed to make a superb pub even better. The food is better than many high end restaurants we have frequented, couple that with the perfect level of attentiveness delivered by the front of house staff and the well kept real ale, and you have the perfect establishment. It is that good we now visit on average 4 nights a month, 4 nights more than we visit either of the two pubs we have in our own village 50 miles away. Oh, and by the way, if you think it couldn't get any better, they also offer B&B adjacent to the pub so no designated driver required.

Found this little chippy while on a hike. This is a real gem. 💯 The small cod and chips was a good portion, couldn't finish all by myself, hubby happily helped out. We had mushy peas and curry sauce and they were amazing! All home-made and delicious. The fish was tasty and the batter was crispy and not greasy at all. The chips was nice too. Freindly people, lovely place, you can eat in too. Don't miss it poeple, when you are in Ambergate!
