The best restaurants serving British food in Castle Leicester East Midlands

Grabbed a sandwich whilst in the area. Was a real treat. Took a little longer to prepare to order but was evident why and worth it. Great quality ingredients, well prepared.

Not a place to visit on match days

Amazing place, amazing atmosphere! Went yesterday for my birthday and staff there are always amazing specially the gentlemen who did our booking! Cant wait to go again! Love this place

Love this independent cafe - quaint, good food, and friendly staff.

Terrible. A simple order of fried eggs was too hard for them and they came out looking obliterated. My partners food looked equally as disappointing. They advertise desserts which I guess was the sad stale looking brownie on the counter.

Fabulous little place. Everyone was very friendly. It’s a good place to meet up and enjoy the atmosphere over good food and drinks.

What used to be one of the nicer pubs in Leicester is now an absolute dump. Embarrassed that I took my friends there. Drinking a pint at the bar and the till area is full of large cockroaches. Cleanliness is obviously a real issue. Owners don't care either they just shrugged our concerns off and dropped the roaches on the floor. Not even a sorry. Disgraceful. Won't be coming back which is a real shame.

Comida deliciosa! ¡Los ciabatta estaban muy buenos! La decoración me pareció un poco anticuada, pero en todas partes estaba muy limpio. El baño estaba muy limpio!

Vinimos a volver a familiarizarnos con uno de nuestros pubs favoritos de la ciudad y nos quedamos muy impresionados. El menú anterior no atrajo mucho, pero los aperitivos del bar actual eran una gran variedad y probamos casi todos, ninguno decepcionado. El servicio fue perfecto. Tuvimos algunas opciones para el almuerzo en la ciudad, pero el I + D es el primero de la lista ahora. Gracias a todo el personal por hacer de ella una experiencia muy agradable.

Nice little pub down a side street, well worth a visit. They had two flat ciders on and real ales. Their fresh ham salad cobs are amazing and worth a visit for them alone! Free fast wifi 34/20Mbps

Not bad, certainly one of the better establishments in Leicester. We went for a Saturday lunchtime, the restaurant decor is very nice and with huge windows it has a light feel and nice views of the rooftops. It was relatively quiet when we dined. The menu is ok, a little limited with not the greatest choices for a Saturday lunchtime we felt, there was only one dish each we'd have, much of it was a bit too heavy for a lunchtime, things like lamb etc. Service was ok, quite prompt, not overly friendly, but certainly not unfriendly. It just needs a bit of a lift to get it to being a real superstar for a Saturday lunchtime, but we enjoyed our visit nonetheless. Thank you
