Deli-Ish in Leicester

I love everything about this sweet little sandwich shop, the food was impeccable and affordable. Such lovely staff and an enjoyable atmosphere as well as the location being so central Leicester. Great stuff!!

I have been going there for long time along with my boss and work colleagues as we work in Leicester town centre . We all love it ! Very friendly cafe with good prices .Freshly made & tasty home made sandwiches , toasties , paninis , salads and my fave jacket spuds and also amazing coffee. Deli-Ish is situated in Rutland Street and is a short walk away from Leicester station. I had a full English breakfast comprising of fried egg, bacon, hash brown, a couple of sausages, baked beans, tomato, mushrooms and two slices of toast, plus a cup of tea. Great honest food at a bargain price of £6.50.

Excellent variety of sandwiches and wraps - I think I've had a different one every time I've been there. Weekly specials are also very tasty and add variety. Food comes out quickly whether it is to takeaway or to eat in.

Did a delivery today a sandwich and Panini. It was awful all went in the bin. Panini was burnt rock solid. Bread was stale dry crumbling. Not the normal standard for Deliish but so disappointed 😕

I’ve been visiting regularly all the way back to when the shop was located on bede island. It’s great to see a local business maintain the high standard and quality throughout the years! Best value for money breakfast in Leicester.

My go to spot when I’m working from City Hall. Lovely food and the atmosphere is also very calming. The staff are welcoming and friendly.

How can’t you give anything but five out of five start rating. Friendly staff. Cracking product for a great great price. You can pay more for a coffee in other places. £3.90 for a wonderful Yorkshire tea and a hot cob with wonderful local farm sausages. Absolute winner. Thank you to the team.

Ordered a full vegetarian English breakfast. I liked the hash brown and tomato puree, but I thought the vegetarian sausages and beans could be more well cooked. The couple-staff come across as no-nonsense, down-to-earth people who've lived in the area for 14 years. May come here again if I'm not going to McDonalds or my uni cafe for a more traditional breakfast :)

Amazing place for some gorgeous sandwiches and the prices are so good! I was staying at a hotel across the road and came here after reading the reviews. The bacon baguette was lovely with loads of bacon. If I wasn’t so full I would have ordered a sandwich to take with me as some of the fillings looked so good.

Surely the hog roast massive sandwich is the best in Leicester???

Deli-ish is probably one of the most high quality establishments in all of leicester city centre, the consistency speed and down right tasty food is amazing. It should be illegal to make me this happy during a lunch break. Top of the range!

This is one of the few times I have visited the cafe the staff are rude I have had food before and got back to work and they have given wrong order. this morning I went in for toast they charged me 50p extra for jam I didnt even have any butter either and when I opened I got barely toasted and barely any jam they should be ashamed but they won’t they will carry in ripping customer off!!

Great range menu, not s lot of space but I did go during lunch hour. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere.

Many of the good places to grab lunch are falling victim to high rent. I certainly hope this place doesn’t. Always busy, and food is of great quality, it’s a shame some of the specials like the Hog Roast or the hot Turkey go so quick, but what can you do, if it’s popular it will sell. Shall continue to buy lunches from this place

Had a full English Breakfast on one visit - sandwiches on several others. "Delish" is apt - the food is well-prepared, not costly - and it's a great place to pick up a sandwich at lunch or for after work.

Cant be bothered on what they give, breakfast bap/baguette should be the same each time you order them but NO the number of items in it change depending on who serves you and on what day.......

The food is scrumptious. Very friendly service and relaxed atmosphere. I recommend it very strongly.

Top cafe in Leicester to get breakfast or lunch. The kitchen is always extremely clean, food is always very fresh and hot. I’m not one for buying lunch out as half always gets thrown away but I’ve been here all week for my lunch and have not been let down once. Very polite and friendly staff and quick service. Also prices are very low and can get practically anything on the menu for £3.80! Highly recommend...and to the staff, keep up the great work!

Food was terrible - firstly the bacon was mouldy and the jacket potato had mould on it.. Iv'e completely stopped going.

If you don't mind having margerine in your sandwiches when they specifically ask whether you want butter and have that printed on the receipt, the food is alright and you may like the food.

Everything on the menu is excellent. I especially like the Chicken Tikka and Yogert Mint Source Toastie.

We popped in here as we had a meeting nearby. We queued for ages despite there only being two people in front and lots behind the counter not serving. We tried to get two smoothies to be told they only had one left so ordered coffee. After we'd paid a staff member told the server they did have other flavours. The coffee was made and despite me waiting at the end of the area (like a chain' coffee shop) the waitress insisted she walk past me to put it on the table. We sat and waited and then decided to use the bathroom, to be told they didn't even have one. As the coffee was bad, we left. Wouldn't return.

I've been a customer from the first week it opened , friendly staff who know their regulars - fast service , which is great as a commuter , don't get in as often as I used to as I now bike to work, but now the weather is picking up I eat outside ! Great choice menu - and just the right size to cut a good balance between eating in or out

Solo he ido para desayunar, pero me parece todo un acierto. Sus precios son más que asequibles y su carta de desayunos muy extensa. Sirven rápido y el servicio de camareros es francamente amable. Para que te hagas una idea, un desayuno massive son 5 libras con el café (2 huevos fritos, 2 lonchas de bacon, 2 salchichas, 2 rebanadas de pan con mantequilla, alubias, tomate triturado y champiñones frescos). Eso sí, el café es bastante malo y te lo ponen muy caliente.

How to put this. It's all ok. What do you expect from a egg sandwich and a coffee? I certainly got what I wanted and feel pretty good saving £10 off the hotel breakfast.

I went with a few colleagues for a quick bite and had a toasted chicken, cheese and yoghurt melt on brown bread as a meal which came with crisps and a drink. It was very tasty and was presented well with a few tortilla crisps on the side. Overall the food was yummy and I was very full so I didn't eat my crisps. I would have preferred a little salad rather than the tortilla crisps but i would definitely go back again. Good value for money too.

The food is generally ok and well priced, the coffee however, is terrible! I've had cappuccinos and americano's from here and every time the water used had been boiled resulting in a coffee that tastes foul. Instant coffee would taste better. Please please work on perfecting your coffee making skills.. it's really letting you down!

Convient location for many offices. Not too bad price wise. The food was tasty and filling however there was piles of melted cheese crammed into the wrap, meaning you don't actually get that much of the filling you paid for. My pannini had melted cheese spilling out of the side. Good if you like cheese, but if you don't this should have been made more clear as it comes as a bit of a shock when you think you've ordered simply a "peri peri chicken pannini. Expect cheese and plenty of it!

Not really sure what the point is of them having different fillings in their sandwiches, when all they're going to do is fill every one with a load of horrible processed cheese that makes everything else taste awful. Worst sandwich I have had in a long time. It's a fast delivery, but that's also reflected in the poor quality and lack of care.

I travel to Leicester every few months and stay round the corner at the encore but don't want to pay a fortune for a breakfast. I found deli-ish my second day here and now pop in for a tasty bacon roll and latte to start the day, when ever I am staying. The staff are very friendly and the food is great. I've also tried the wraps and toasties as they have a wide choice at a great price. Much better than all the prepackaged shop sandwiches or the over priced coffee shops, so I'd definitely recommend deli ish.

It really should not be possible to mess up a bacon sandwich but Deliish managed this today with stale bread and horrid bacon. However, its unforgiveable when you are in a prime location like this in between the train and bus station. £2 is still also not a bargain compared to some of better quality in this locale. Won't be going back

I visit this establishment regularly after being recommended by a colleague. I have to say the food is great. I generally stick to baked potatoes but they are perfect, cooked properly and served with generous fillings at reasonable prices. There is a good variety of other choices. The staff are very good too, I've never waited long for my order which is great when time is right. Often eat in and take away. Well worth a visit!!

I have really enjoyed eating at this cafe however one busy lunchtime a couple of work colleagues saw a member of staff take away a customers plate (a half eaten Fry-up) and put the sausages which the customer had left on the plate back into the tray to be re-served to paying customers. This is very disappointing and I know many people who witnessed this would no longer go back!
