The best restaurants serving British food in Harborough East Midlands

We were staying the night in the village and rang ahead to check they would be doing food as we didn't want to get stranded without anything for dinner. They were helpful on the phone and friendly in person. We got pizza to takeaway and a very quick drink whilst we were waiting. The pizza was very good indeed and if we hadn't been knackered we'd happily have had a longer visit.

A surprising and totally charming tea room with wonderful staff in period costume. More than this it goes beyond simple nostalgia as it serves a beautiful community purpose with period photos and objects donated, gifted or obtained locally. Just ask how the cafe was conceived and you will understand more. It’s also bigger than you think with a nice garden and mock-up Anderson shelter. The period newspapers on the tables are a wonderful touch. The food was very good and reasonably priced.

Absolutely superb Sunday lunch. Large dish of seasonal veg to share betwen us, and a large portion of meat on each plate, plus roast potatoes, 2 Yorkshire puddings and a large boat of gravy. Everything was piping hot and beautifully cooked. For afters there was a large selection of home made puddings, which were offered with custard, cream or ice cream to suit. The pot of tea was really good too. All in all an excellent meal for 2 for under £35.! Will definitely return, and would highly recommend it to anyone who likes good home cooking style meals, rather than tiny portions of artistically arranged food served on ridiculously large plates! The location is quite remote though, and my Sat nav didn’t identify the right building from the postcode, so it might be better to put in Stockerston Rd Allexton instead, and look out for the sign opposite the driveway. The tea rooms aren’t open every day, but the opening hours are on their website.

Food was amazing, very reasonably priced! Staff were very friendly & made my hangover feel a lot better 😂 will now be regulars 😊

Have been to Blend on multiple occasions now and always had a wonderful experience. Staff all so lovely and accommodating. Food always great and has a good selection to choose from. Shall be returning.

Decent nice lady let us go to the co-op to get food we came back and paid very nice sausage roll was a 4/10 hot chocolate 7/10 so nice for the morning

Visited with my partner and young child. We felt from the second we walked through the door we were really accommodated for. The staff were attentive without being too much. Service was really quick. The food was lovely- a very reasonable price which often isn’t the case now especially for a Sunday dinner. We will certainly visit again!

Starters good. Mains very good for 3 ok for 1(Wellington average). Service, polite and attentive but lacked warmth and genuineness.

We went to Nossa for my mums birthday celebrations! There were 34 of us including kids so it was a big ask! The food was absolutely incredible and the wait staff were lovely! Big shout out to Martha who, despite things maybe not quite going to plan, was so professional, accommodating and understanding. There were a few hiccups but we won’t dwell on those as Martha and the team did everything they could to ensure we had a successful evening. One comment I would make is that the owner/ management could have ensured more staff for such a busy night to not put their staff under so much pressure with such a large group and a fully booked upstairs! That was no reflection on Martha and her team though, and definitely didn’t affect the quality of the food which was lovely. I would definitely visit again (just maybe next time without the party of 34!) Thanks Martha and team, your professional approach, understanding and sense of humours were greatly appreciated and you couldn’t have done more by the end of the night! Amy

Had a lovely lunch here today, we ordered the Seabass with mixed seafood risotto and the Sirlioin steak, the meat was tender and flavourful and cooked just right. The Seabass was perfectly cooked and risotto delicious. Service was great too. we all really enjoyed it, can't wait to visit again to try some of the other dishes.

Fabulous curry for lunch. Amazing presentation and staff so attentive. Will be back.
