The best restaurants serving British food in Charnwood East Midlands

Another fantastic experience at Loughborough College restaurant. The Guest Chef events are great value too. The food and service last night was some of the best you'll find in Leicestershire. It's great to see the students in a working environment. Holly was excellent, pouring our drinks and clearing our plates whilst interacting with us in a professional but friendly manner. As was James who carved our pork main course at the table, They both won't struggle to find work when their courses end. All the students are a credit to their lecturers and the college.

We visited today, Friday lunchtime, and it was full which speaks volumes for the reputation of the restaurant and college. We ordered the carvery and Holly was brilliant carving the meat and Cameron who was our waiter looked out for us. The food was lovely, we really enjoyed our desserts of sticky toffee pudding & chocolate brownie, which were bought to us in good time. Would definitely recommend and we'll be back! Well done to all the students & staff who support them!

Fantastic little cafe!! Don’t normally write food reviews on TripAdvisor but considering the last 18months we’ve all had, I think more people need to pay RT’s a visit. Excellent food and great staff to go with it. Will definitely be back!!

Found this place whilst shopping in Loughborough. It's an amazing little place. It's warm and cosy and the staff were so lovely, happy and helpful. Coffee and tea were delicious. The Bakewell tart was exceptional. I took home the last croissant on the shelf that day and enjoyed it for my breakfast the next day, just lengthening my 58 experience. In the New Year we are returning for lunch and maybe try one of their taster nights.

I am currently devouring my second generous helping of breakfast. Mushrooms on toast. OMG. My eyes want a third but my belly prevails. I am pleasantly stuffed :). What a relaxed location. A warm feeling inspired by all the friendly staff. I felt very comfortable and at home here. Thank-you, thank-you, thank-you.

Just had a very nice Café Americano and a very generous slice of Choc Chip Shortbread which was very tasty, light and of course made with butter. Would like to leave a photo but it would be of an empty plate!

Lovely venue for a meal, the food choice is excellent, a little pricey but you pay for quality.

Absolutely incredible food. We visited on a Saturday night for the infamous pizza nights, and we weren't disappointed! The food was incredible from the starters right through to the incredible patisserie to finish. The pizza was the best pizza I've ever had! Really high quality ingredients and perfect cookery has after one visit made this restaurant my favourite place to go and eat and I'm looking forward to many future visits

Another fantastic visit to The Blacksmiths Arms. Enjoyed a great Sunday Lunch. The team are great, always attentive and made sure our visit was superb. Been a few times and have never been disappointed. Keep up the great work and we look forward to coming back again.

Very disappointed ,,, ended up ordering cream tea for me ,,,, small cheap scone ,,,, obviously heated yes hot scone ,,, with cream and jam ,,,,, was presented to me strate away , ,,,, my companion had ordered a meal ,, which came after I had eaten my scone ,,, and then finally the tea came ,,,, waitress was unable to smile ,,,

Decepcionante - muy ruidoso. Los cafés eran agradables, pero los bollos de fruta eran muy pobres. Habían sido calentados en microondas, lo que los hizo gomosos - no agradable / no comestible.

Beautiful little tea room. Excellent selection of cakes and savoury dishes. Can't wait to go back!
